Get rid of the MafiaReturns bot all together. It is indeed a cool concept, but spoon feeding users just makes them weak. Yes, unfortunately, IRC has become synonymous with MafiaReturns the game. We do not need to drag is there any more. Make people log in and get truly involved if they want to stay informed. Having timers set to go off when you BGs/You are shot is just a cheap way to wake yourself up. No one here is psychic, and their characters shouldn't be either. If your that worried about it, wake up every few hours to check. Make people work. |

I definitely agree with removing MIA/RIA's OBIT:'s from #divinelunacy. As far as removing all OBIT:'s completely. How many people will get bored of keep logging in to check on things, and just slowly drift away because they are being made to log in every few hours? Just like they haven't made credits a compulsory currency, but it gives an advantage to those who buy them, IRC is not compulsory, but it gives an advantage to those who use it. I don't think you should take away one of the advantages just because you feel people need to be made to log in. On a personal side, I wouldn't mind them all being taken away, and maybe just having Made Man+ OBIT:'s feature in #divinelunacy. This could be a good middle ground for both sets of people. As far as the original suggestion goes though, I'm all for it, so I'll sponsor it. |

Oh this, this, so much this. The worst is when you're using mibbit someplace you don't have a client because it's right now again telling me that people have said things, but I know when I click the stupid tab it's going to be OBIT: A thing made to die has died. For the ten millionth time today. Right now I think #divinelunacy kind of is the other channel being suggested for the bot to function as it normally does. You're talking around what is essentially spam so I think people talk less. The game's main channel shouldn't be something people are ignoring. |

Might I propose a compromise here? Instead of removing the notifications, why not change them to actual notifications that you can opt into or out of? Could do this with anything, and keep the PUBLIC notices of things like credits on FB and things from the game for advertising purposes or "Get you interested" purposes? |

By providing a list of names to send the notice to. |

That is much more complicated than just putting them in another channel. Also it'd block people from the notifications they do want from the bot, such as Durdens and Credit giveaways. It'd be a lot easier to just make the bot not announce MIA/RIA deaths in #divinelunacy, and then if there is demand have a bot that does in like #RIPMIAs or something. |

I 100% support this decision. I feel that it will make #dl notifications become more exciting, rather than redundant. There really isn't much else to say about it, so I'll just sponsor the idea to go to the PC. :) |

Much like Patti said; I have no issue removing Obits for RIA/MIA as I feel they are pointless in that there is no reaction required from the userbase. Its not something that should prompt someone to do anything, so its not something they are required to be notified of. Durdens, FB stuff and Members of familys dieing all have an impact on someone. |

Do we keep all durdens, or just keep the first one? |

This is a good idea - I'm not that big of a fan of seeing the RIA/MIA OBIT notifications myself. |

The voting for this suggestion has passed. PC-ralph has voted YES. [3] (Perhaps provide a second channel for those who want the unfiltered bot\'s obituaries? Good idea overall.) PC-El_Nino has voted YES. [2] (Yes I see no reason for them to be there as long as durdens are not classed as them) PC-Cassiopeia has voted YES. [1] (No reason given) PC-Patti has voted YES.
