After spending a little time around these streets mixing with the same people day in day out, i have came to notice a few things, one of which is that - The number of women at the top of the tree is highly disproportionate to the amount people i see on these streets. So it begs the question, Are women better? Or do they have some sort of Advantage in this life by being a woman? Now i am no way disrespecting any woman around here, as im sure they have worked as hard as anyone to get where they are, and there are some legendary women leaders of this world, past, present and im sure there will be more to come. But i felt the need to ask why they seem to get to the top, so much quicker and more often? |

Have you looked through the streets? I dont see any females in any city who arent well known, highly ranked or leading a family. I think you need to read a bit closer, the word proportionate comes to mind. |

I'm hardly a female. Altho I do remember a speech made by Piggeh calling alot of men idiots as they let women try to lure them into doing things for them ect to get into positions. Some guys seem to think "OHH IM IN THERE IF I PUT HER IN A SHINY NEW SUIT" Not pointing any fingers, But its the men being weak and thinking with their dicks and the women being smart and taking advantage of it. |

It's simple, we women are outgoing, we are not worried about polishing our pistols or winning the next poker game. We like to mingle and gather. We like to meet new people. We aren't behind closed doors bottling shine, why would we bother? That's what we have men for. Historically women in our world have been more prone to being in the public eye, it is almost expected of us. We don't hold knitting circles and the bikini clad street parties are a thing of the past. We are not the bimbos many perceive us to be. We are just as cold and calculating as any man here, if not more so.. We just like to have fun more often. What can I say? The men of this world just don't get out much. They are busy playing cards, polishing their pistol while staring at some pin-up girl, dodging Bubba in jail, or sleeping.. I'm sorry if I offended you YaYa.. Do you have a pair of traveling pants or are you part of a sisterhood by any chance? |

Denver mutters something about not being a boy, but being a fully fledged man with a fully fledged tool. I can understand why you would be confused Miss Iris, what with my adorable, youthful looks and your slightly dodgy eyesight, but I assure you that (despite boy and male being one and the same), I'm actually a young man, as opposed to a "boy". I have a pair yes, And im a part of one. I dont really take offence easily, even to pointless comments about going back to grade school. Which was Helarious by the way! Wow! Must be female witt or something. I was just generally sharing a thought which some people have agreed with, and passed comment on. As have you and i would agree with the 2/3rds of what you said, yet why you felt the need to make comment like you did i don't know. However, i think what i said was most reasonable, and something which people would be interested to hear about. |

I can think of some women that are well renown for using men. I remember one leader from not to long ago that had about 6 different men's names inscribed into her jacket and she would proudly walk around showing it off. How these men carried on the affairs i dont know, As they clearly knew about eachother. |

I have it on good authority that Epitome was trying to dispatch of a comatose member of the great Ganelon's family so a more active and able member from a family line that had been with him for years could join. I also remember it was on orders from Ganelon's other Right Hand Jimmy. So blow me, it was a man that told her to do it and she was doing it for another man. Good day. |

Munching on a scone fresh from one of her family's bakeries, Marietta nods along as she listens to the banter in front of her on The Streets. After swallowing the pastry and shaking her blond hair back from her shoulders, she tilts her head and finds a suitable place to butt in to the conversation. If I were to comment I'd say there's just as many men as there are women in this world. In fact, there are more. The current leadership seems to have a nice mix right now of men and women. I believe the reason you may think, at the moment, that there is a large number of women because it is as Don Iris has already described. We're out walking the streets... Marietta pauses to watch a man slowly creep up to her and begin draping his fingers lightly across the waist. With a sigh she pulls her hand back and punches him square in the face before turning back to the crowd and smiling. Not like that, perverts, so kindly back the fuck off my leg, thanks. Anyway, what I meant to say was, it seems as if many men prefer to conduct their business behind closed doors and in quiet places, where we women generally just like to yak about anything and everything... wherever we may be. Anyway... I really don't think I needed to add anything to this conversation. Marietta darts her green eyes around in worry before scurrying off and hiding behind a rather large man in a top hat. |

The amount of women in leadership positions has definately risen in recent times. It was unusual in the old days. Tiggy's bloodline had a few families in the old days, Poppy, Anita (the first version, not the Godfather, we are going back farther than that), Fishie, Skywitch, Red Scorpion, and maybe one or two others, but that's about all! Maybe some other old timers around here could offer some opinions in to what has changed. I have my opinions. Teruzzo touched on them. I think the biggest difference is that most of the guys around these days are a bunch of weenies. They allow the women to wear the pants around here. That's not to say that *some* women are not highly qualified to lead, but quite often women who were/are completely incompetent have been given powerful positions for inexplicable reasons. Every time I see men fawn over some woman I really want to slap the shit out of him. I want to take out my rubber stamp that has "Douche" molded on it, press it in permanent ink, and stamp it on his forehead. In the old days there was something of an "old boys network". It may have been chauvinistic, but there was a common perception that women made shit leaders. I don't remember the justifications for that widely held belief, but it existed. I cannot remember of a single time when anyone rallied around a flirtatious woman and supported her bid for power or credibility. Basically, the men were men, not horny little boys. I am not claiming that my views are the incontrovertable truth, only that it is the best thing I can come up with. There ARE more women in positions of power these days than in the old days. If anyone else has a better explanation for it, I would be happy to listen. |

Maxie ponders FlyingPig's comments and approaches him. As always your words are a lesson of how things should be. I've always resented women who gain power on their backs. Not only are they an embarrassment to all women, but they are also bad for our business. I don't blame men in the old days for having their buys club. Whores should be treated like what they are, whores. In your opinion, why are women like that given the keys to the kingdom more often now than in the past? What has made the standard change? |
