Final Summary
There was a few different scenarios spoke of with this idea. As far as I can tell from all the comments and suggestions prior to voting, the best method of introducing this idea would be similar to that as we have with credits.
The idea here is that people are able to sell their witness statements to the highest bidder, or in reverse offer to buy a particular witness statement for a set price. Supply and demand would determine how much someone would be willing to pay for these. (It wasn't actually touched on before, but possibly a Cap could be added to prevent people going a little crazy? I guess thats something that can be reviewed at a later time depending on how well used the feature becomes)
One of the important factors here is that when receiving the witness statement, you cannot sell it on the market if you open the witness statement and view the name of the shooter. (I suggest even when doing so, the name is still scrambled as per current W/S's)
Example "Jan 24, '13 14:35:52 You witnessed "someone" WACK PC-Warrior" - Clicking on the word someone should open it like when receiving a gift, this would display the name in the scrambled format.
Should the recipient not open the W/S, they could then access the W/S market and place it on the market, this would work as a drop down allowing you to select from any W/S stored in your events page.
When someone is attempting to Buy a W/S, I propose the offer drop down should hold the names from Obits. This way someone can select a deceased member and offer to buy the W/S, allowing the recipient of the W/S to check the Offers page before choosing whether to view it or attempt to sell it.
I think i've covered all the dynamics of the implementation here, I would urge that anyone that disagrees with this format feel free to speak up as the format itself was somewhat neglected during discussions and never really finalised. The above format is simply my take on the structure from the comments on the suggestion. |
