The idea is that we add some form of a "Like" button to each individual post. But when you click it you have to pay to like a post. That money goes to the poster and it tells the poster that a player appreciated that post. So it would go something like: |

As I said in the other posting perk thread. This is honestly a player issue and not a game issue that should require something hardcoded in. If players want more activity, players need to put forth the effort. Host contests, have giveaways, create scavenger hunts in the business districts. But I don't like the idea of being paid to post on a consistent basis. |

Thing is, if you go to a lot of these threads right now, mainly the streets; you will notice that most are gettin a lot of views! I see most getting upwards of 100 hits. These same threads may only have 2-3 replies.
This isn't something that can simply be fixed by 'more player involvment' Why? Cause there's no reason at all to be bothered with it. All it can possibly do is get you in trouble.
What can you get? From posting in the streets? Well thought out roleplays go largely ignored and sink to the depths within days. Controversial topics have a chance of getting you killed (we've all seen it happen) Newspapers (while entertaining) die out very quickly. Many people even feel that people under made men shouldn't speak in the streets. Some leaders institute policies that require their associates to get clearance with each post.
Why the hell would any new player in their right mind venture into the streets with these attitudes coupled with little to NO incentive to do so?? It's absolutely crazy to expect people to create a lively atmosphere in the streets under those conditions. Get ignored or get in trouble - those are your options.
At least with a praise option you can give someone a pat on the back after reading, and seeing other people get a pat on the back just MIGHT convince you to dip a toe into the shark infested, favoritist, brutal waters that are the streets. |

I think this is a stellar idea. It doesn't add money into the game, just moves it. (There could even be a small tax, 5% say, that wouldn't bother either person, but with the amount of transactions this could be seeing, remove a little bit of money from the game.) It adds incentive to post. (You could argue CL's should be adding incentive to post, but as Whitey has already said, the streets are a scary place, especially for a new player, this would allow them to be involved in the streets without formally posting. It also lets the poster know if their post is appreciated.) |

Please go through and make sure I get the final summary of the features already passed so that we can get them coded in. Lets put all discussions for features on pause until we can get the older stuff taken care of first. |

I think the Anon aspect is best, but I can't think of any reason to not have the options exactly as they are mentioned in the Original Summary. |

So we're just waiting on a set figure and then this is ready for a vote? Shouldn't be too hard to reach an agreed amount. |

I think there should be a cap at least. If someone wants to send 100000000000000 dollars... they can just do a bank transfer. etc. |

I don't think there should be an upper limit, and I'd probably say 25000 as the lower limit? |

I think that is far too high as a lower limit. This is supposed to just be a small token reward not 100k for 4 "likes". |

I don't see why 25k is too high. Everybody can spare 25k if a post is good enough for it. Might encourage people to actually put even more effort in so they get the 25k. I don't know how you can criticise my suggestion if you don't like the whole thing at all. No matter what the value is it's obviously not going to change your vote :/ |

All of the other suggestions have been under 20k. Just because I don't support it doesn't mean I can't have an opinion, to suggest otherwise is asinine. You're also suggesting no limit which is ridiculous. Of course there should be a limit. |

I'm not saying you shouldn't have an opinion, but to shoot something down, not suggest an alternative, and then say you don't support anything about it anyway, is also ridiculous. Why should there be an upper limit? Why? If I want to give some 1 million for a truly amazing post, then why should I not be able to do that through this feature? If you don't allow it, people will do it through banking anyway, so why not? It's not ridiculous in the slightest, it makes sense. |

What is keeping you from doing that now? Why do you need a feature to do it? But on the flipside... Why do people need to be paid to post? That's my whole problem with this feature. |

Nothing is keeping us from doing it now, but when is keeping us from wacking accounts, instead of having NPC's, MIA's and RIA's put in? Nothing. There are features in the game for a reason, and I believe this will be a good one. People do not NEED to be paid to post, but if it promotes the street activity and gets people posting, what's wrong with it? Nothing. |
