well i think someone already talked about that but i think its a good idea :) first as we have to train our weapons, so they have lvls, and these lvls should be seen by the owner, but not only the lvl but with some stats like shooting speed, efficiency and etc. (that is increased every time you train). |

I would like to see a change like this down the road. |

MR along with it's community isn't ready for a change like this.
Perhaps some day down the road.. After Districts and the other major updates rumored to be coming go through - this would be accepted as a possibility.
It's not a possiblity for the near future though changes like these need to come slowly and gently over time. I'm going to put a watch on the thread, after the districts pop in (if i'm still a PC member) I'll revisit this and most likely sponsor it. As Mr. Anderson said... Down the road. |

I would hate to see a change anything remotely like this come into the game, for me it would be the death of MafiaReturns. |

I agree with PC-Flash-Fire on this, I'd be happy enough for a score you could see that totals your wack for you, but even that isn't necessary. Yes someone may well know their own ability, but thats cos in RL you'd track your progress... "I've been down the range every day for the last yeat, and my accuracy has really improved." In real life you don't have an automated calculator to track ability. |

See I don't agree with gun stats or gun tracking calculators... You have to do that stuff on your own.
Being able to buy different types of guns? Frankly I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar to that come in down the road.
People seem to harbor the idea that change will be the death of MR... No, lack of change will ultimately be the death of MR. |

I've never seen the need for different weapons, for one main reason. MR is a RPG, the game refers to your 'gun' allowing the player to make it whatever gun they want. Colt 45, Webley 38, Thompson SMG, Lee Enfield 303, Phase Plasma rifle in the 40 Watt range, the decision is yours and yours alone. |

Lee Enfield 303 with a 5 shot W spring magazine, fired a few of them in my time but I preferred the Enfield-Martini. |

Many games already have different weapons, protection and bullet factories, MR shouldn't be one of them. |

We've (Izzy and I) have talked about guns before, for RP purposes, not stats. But if you wan't to RP having a gun, then RP it. As for knowing how strong your gun is, you should keep track of it yourself. |

I don't get why people don't like a change like this, variety is the spice of good things. |

Because it isn't necessary. You can already choose what your gun's gonna be in your posts. |

Because this isn't meant to be every other stat building number crunching crap game out there. Its about the RP. |

As enkindle said, this isn't a game where the focus is to level up and upgrade, the main focus is roleplaying. |

The day a change like this comes into MafiaReturns, will probably be the day a LOT of old school, experienced players decide to leave this place for good, I know it'll definitely be the day for me. Whitey, whereas you say lack of change will be the death of MR, that doesn't mean there has to be a change as big as this one, to a part of the game which is so fundamental to almost everyone that plays. Different guns, more effectiveness, damage, speed. You may as well allow mafia marriages and to hire thugs for you and rename MR themafiaboss. I just don't think this would be a good change. We already have a huge change being coded in the form of districts and then Ellis Island, we don't need another one to add on top of that. Personally, I hope this never gets added in. |

With all the changes coming in so fast I think there will be something like this long down the road, that's just my thoughts. |

I am all for changes that improve game play for players. I am not for changes that make this game similar to other games that people may play. There is no reason to add a barrage of guns to this game and completely change wack up based on the gun you have (which if that isn't what you want, why do you need different guns then?). You have a gun and you can roleplay it out to be any gun you want in the world, within the time frame. There is no need to have a variety of guns in the game. |
