You'll probably find the bigger deflating effect to the economy from a war isn't the initial hit to people's personal and crew bank accounts, but instead the longer-term effect that occurs due to the decreased earning capacity from the turnover in accounts. Less units for the next 30-60 days after a war means drastically less income generated. Plus, people are still losing everything they have in their bank, which would be far greater compared to what was held on hand. |

Yeah, you're right. It wouldn't have a huge affect, and most of the deflation is caused by other things. I just don't think there should be a cash reward on killing. There never really has been one, and I don't see a reason to have one now. Would people want to pick up some money off of BGs when they shoot them too? (Not being sarcastic, putting it out there as a suggestion)
If this feature was to be implemented, it would kinda make graverobbing pointless. |

Graverobbing is pointless. It gives me what? 15k and uses my attack timer? 15k, anyone can earn that with an easy flight with the right drugs. |

Doesn't it only use your petty timer? |

I like this suggestion... A lot.
I never understood why you didn't get the cash on hand of those that you killed.
On the note of people always having cash on hand during wars, this would probably alter that slightly, just so people made sure their enemies don't get the money...
As far as making graverobbing pointless, frankly, it kindof already is a touch pointless.. You can only do it for a week when you're below made, it garners very little money, not much experience either. It's also a tedious task, finding where people died and such. On an aditional note - the majority of people graverobbed are MIA/RIA/NPC, because most of the time those are the only deaths. I would venture to say it would be pointless to take all the cash off of non-players so those will be find for graverobbing. So no, this feature would not make the mostly-pointless act of graverobbing more pointless...
As far as the economy goes, I don't see an issue when during large wars it is a fact that if you know you're going to die, you buy up a shitload of credits or send your money off to someone else... It's no secret why big names die then come back and VWP as a thug... Also, a cash reward on killing? No heavens no, let's get rid of the hitlist then, and let's stop the game from randomly giving that 300k for MIAs too - wouldn't want a reward for killing right? |

It's a cash reward directly from the dead person's wealth. Hitlist has nothing to do with it. That's their enemy trying to get them killed, and that 300k? that's your "boss" paying you to kill someone.
If you've seen enough wars, you'll notice that the credit market is bare very quickly, and people are left with cash. Sometimes they send it off. Sometimes they don't have a chance to because they're offline. Sometimes they're holding onto it because they think they'll live or they need it for private flights and such. A lot of people die with a lot of money on them.
Graverobbing needs work, but I don't think it's completely pointless. In fact, I would rather see this idea worked more towards fixing that current game feature. |

Before I would be willing to offer an opinion on this I would like to hear how much is lost on average from the game during wars, because I feel it is a lot more than you guys are assuming here and it actually would alter the game economy quite a lot. |

How much is lost in wars is not really the number your need.
How much money people are holding in their pockets when they die during wars is the number you are after. |

Isn't that the same number? He was referring to cash on people when they die. |

"how much is lost on average from the game during wars, "
Doesn't sound like the same number to me. Granted it has been a while since I have played but certainly money in bank accounts is lost. |

I'm certainly not saying people should gain millions of dollars if that is what someone is holding on hand. I'm not even saying they should get half of what is on hand. I think a very small percentage would be reasonable, say something upwards of 100k max? I dunno, a small percentage, but something nonetheless sounds reasonable to me. |

Just for perspective, there is $378,987,823 in onhand cash right now floating in the game. |

And I don't think the credit market would make people able to buy up credits... |

378 Mil of Total Available Cash In Game: $1,920,000,000
So what 20%?
Of which I wager a fair portion is held by crewleaders.
I think you are looking at it from the wrong perspective, yes there may be that amount of money in hand...
Is that how it should be though? Should people be able to walk around with millions in their pockets with nothing to lose? That seems like a tremendous RP fail to me.
*shrugs* I have had my say. |

Also grave robbing is exactly that, robbing a grave, its stealing jewellery etc and selling it on. Bodies aren't buried with wallets stuffed with $20 bills or Bank books. |

I don't know that I would even go as high as 20%. If someone has 3 mil on hand during a war, which is absolutely feasible, that would mean you'd net 600k. I'm thinking on a much smaller scale here. |
