So this is where my story begins. Today, at 5am my time or 0800 mafia time I woke up as usual to get ready for school, when I heard a scratching noise coming from downstairs. I thought, ok maybe one of my roomates just got off work (they work late nights). So I went to check it out. The phrase "curiosity killed the cat" kept running through my head as I snuck downstairs hoping to spook my room mate when I saw a man standing in my living room whom I had never seen before. In his hands was my laptop; my connection to family and friends accross the country. I had never personaly experienced this sort of devistation before. I was in shock to see him in my house. Of all the places around, why mine? He glanced at me and turned quickly to the window in which he had entered. That dirty son of a bitch! With him he took my laptop and flash-drive. Also in attempt to escape with something worth taking besides my laptop, he had pocketed some speakers designed for the computer. I didnt know wether to scream cry or grab for the nearest knife and run after the bastard. So I did all three. I let out a scream waking everyone in the house they ran down stairs as i ran outside with my skinning knife that I had bought when deer hunting this last september. I was going to kill him. My roomates called the cops. the cops here are slow to respond but they heard she went after him with a knife and they were here lickedy split! This was my college life taken. As a collge student I do all my work on a computer. harldy any of the instructors will accept hand-written mumbo jumbo. so it was hard to explain without crying as to why i did not have the assignment. If you have ever personally been robbed any suggestions are helpful. I dont want to buy a new laptop i want mine back. If anyone has any ideas please help me. |

Wow, that's an interesting story. I suggest getting Lo Jack next time, apparently they track? stolen laptops or something along those lines. Much luck to you. |

| well aparently the new vista can be tracked if only i had a cereal number. im no expert with computers but my intstructos is. he can hack and track. they just have to try and use the internet. where could i find a cereal number? i have the box and everything | |

Aside from giving a good sketch and praying someone catches the asshole you may be out of luck for that laptop. Lo Jack and insurance are good things to invest in next time though. :\ |

I would say use prems way. Have a couple of guns laying around the house. And if you catch another one...Lay the motherfucker out and place a non registered gun in his hand as he lay there bleeding all over. End of. |

yup i have been robbed before it was at night and some bastard took my ipod my phone and some other little things it scared the @?*& out of me to think there was someone in my house and i never even realised i called the police but they was crap a didnt help one bit |

I live in Greece. In a small village. Some times beggars go out, from house to house and ask for money, or food. Some of them might be retard, people with real trouble, but also a few junkies and a junkie parent does that to get some her for his son. Anyway one day i was taking a shower before i leave for work. I heard the door open and i thought it would be my father ( i live with my parents-and my mom was away that time). After a few seconds i hear the door open again, and in a few seconds i hear my dad screamin' "m@#$#fer get out NOW!" hehe it sounded fynny. i figured imiddietly what was goin' on, and i got out as fast as i could. I saw my dad hitting with a chair a guy, and the thief was keep saying "i'm only asking for some money", but he didnt fight back... we kicked him away, and let it go. Later on that day we found out from someone else, that he has also entered like that way to another house, a few blocks away. |

I had a guy pull a gun on me once, him and a woman. I think he was going to mug me but got nervous and took off..In the mall parking lot about 7 years ago. Had numerous people try to break into my house back in the days when I lived in the old 'neighbor'hood). But thanks to my dogs theyve always been caught or scared off. Had two guys try and mug me for my jewlry one time in highschool at a football game, luckily for me a cop walked up and told us to scat lol...man first time Ive ever been happy to see a cop. Never been robbed though. Been jumped a billion times. Id suggest get a security system or a dog...or a gun..lol |

| ok ik this post is very old, and this is a loong shot, but if your computer is set up right u can remote access it from another computer, nd if it is the right kind of laptop it should have a web cam built in and u can turn it on. i mean the circumstances have to b perfect, nd ur comp has to b set up so u can get into the remote access wit a password and the lap top has to b open but if it all works ull b able to see the surrounings of where ur laptop is | |

| I used to deliver for a pizza place called Pizza Guys. One night on my last delivery, I pulled up to the address I was given. I got out of my car with the pizza bag in one hand and a plastic bag containing cheese, peppers, napkins and a two liter of soda in the other. I walked up the driveway and glanced through one of the windows because I noticed none of the lights were on. The house was empty. In my head I was thinking it was a prank call, so I turned to head back to my car when I was greeted by a group of people. One of them spoke up and told me the pizza was theirs. I looked at the receipt and told him the total. He reached in his pocket and pulled out a wad of cash. I straightened the bills out to count the money and he was short about 10 bucks. I looked up to tell him but was met with a fist to the face. My eyes opened wide as I grabbed his shirt and started pummeling his face when one of his friends punched me on the side of my face. I pushed the guy I was punching into the garage door and started exchanging punches with the guy that cheap shot me. I felt a few blows connect to his face and we both backed up and had a little stare down and soon after, they all split and ran off. I let out a war cry and walked back to my car with the money the dude handed me grasped in my fist and the pizza and plastic bag in mu possession as well. I hopped in and drove off flipping one of them the bird along the way and yelling, "fuck you!" I drove back to the pizza shop, threw my hat on the floor and told my boss I quit. | |

fortunately not and for this reason (i also lost my first borns pics and vids due to hard drive failure) I back everything up on google drive, it only cost like 2 dollars or something for a tb :D it must suck to be robbed and lose everything that way :( |

| We got robbed on Kenya took a few hundred dollars from a bag on a plane. They took our hand luggage off us due to emergency exit seats and the crew went through and liberated the cash. | |
