Its not too important , but I think we should have on our profiles is it male or female character which we select on creating of one, I think thats easy to be done and it would be better, because sometime I have no idea is person I am talking to male or female so this would get rid of that problem, so it would be nice seeing it :)

i totaly agree and the profile pre-pic should be changed too when you are female :)

It's been suggested before. I don't see how it can really help the game. A profile picture usually is enough. The rest of it can be left up to roleplaying.

Spike the role play would be assisted as comments made my the game could be based on sex. Too many times I see the words he and him where it would make more sense to have she or her. 

Spike its not some great idea which will change the game a lot or something, but its something Admins can lightly do without problem and in my opinion it would be better to have this, because like I said it happened to me few times before I talk to someone like its male and on the end it is female, so I find myself embarased :)
Also some people dont have the picture and some other will place something else on their profile picture for example someone maybe set an animal as prof pic, but that doesnt mean they are animal :)

I just think it would be better, not a lot, but a little better, but its your call to say is it worth or not...

And are you sure Flea? Because honestly I cant judge are you male or female by your picture as well. And thats reason why I think this would be nice to have.

If people think its unnecessary then I guess just delete this thread like its never made, I thought it would be nice to have that on our profile together with wealth status and other thing on profile, but its call of commision and admins now I guess, I did whats up to me.

So where do you draw the line?

Do you have : Male, Female, Neuter, Intersexed or Hermaphrodite, Transgendered Male, Transgendered Female, Transexed...

With no sex on the profile, here is no issue. Once you introduce a sex you have to allow for all eventualities just in case someone takes offence that their sex isn't there.

The Game is set in the 1930s. 99% of the players were male, most females were mainly Girlfriends of Mobsters.

In real life, most world governments officially recognise 5 Genders, some far more, and a few far less.

Just one more issue, how do you deal with folks that don't want people to know what sex they or their character is? Another option with not disclosed?

You are going too wide, it should be just male or female in my opinion and thats it... And maybe it was like that , there were all males, but like you can notice there are a lot of females on this game as well so it cant really be compared like that...

Also some people might wouldnt like that their wealth, rank or number of units they can carry, home city, family , maybe not even their name to show, but it still do.

And when you walk up to someone in reality , I hope you do recognize difference between male and female... Why I suggested this is because I feel embarassing when I think someone is male and it appear they are female or I think they are female and they are male... I have different approach to male and female, dont talk same with both genres so thats why I said about this, I didnt expected so long discussion about it, simply or you would like to see it or you do not, if not then fine, I suggested you turned down and thats it, if you like it and it get implemented even better.

What about who play sexless characters? Aliens, inanimate objects?

Suggestions aren't simply about whether you like it or not. I actully like the idea, but I don't feel it adds to the game. If someone has an ambiguous name, and their picture and profile doesn't give you any idea about whether they are male or female, then perhaps that's the way they want it?

Mines easy, Raoul is a male name, the picture I use is male. Similarly with you.

Magma is a gender neutral name, but her picture is female. If it turned out Magma is male (she isn't, trust me) then that would be her fault for using a female picture, not yours for assuming she was female.

If you are talking from the point of view that you know who to chat up, well boys play girls here, and girls play boys, so you could still end up talking to a guy whom you think is a girl.

The reason I said where do you draw the line, is what happens if someone takes offence to their sex not being represented and tries to sue the game for discrimination?

Ok, Why do I think it's misleading? because my first thought upon seeing this thread's title was 'Omfg, This is a suggestion to help characters have sex'( Of course, I do not posses the cleanest of minds, here on MR). After I read it I realized I was mistaken, however the fact remains that the initial impression this title gave was very misleading, to me at least.

Now how would I have named it? Character's Sex. It's a wonder what you can do with an apostrophe and a single consonant these days.

As for you not being able to judge my sex(I'm all male, btw). Why do you have this insane desire to want to judge me by my sex? Why can't I be judged as a human being or rather in this case, a player. For instance, when I see your profile, I see a player who has not had the time to type his/her crew tag in his/her profile and has yet to find a suitable profile picture. Even though, he/she has been around for 5 whole days.

Also, with regards to your mini tantrum about 'deleting this thread like it's never made'. Yours isn't the only suggestion that has been disregarded, cupcake. You brought forward a suggestion in a thread with a very misleading name in the Suggestions Forum. The purpose of aforementioned forum is for players and PC's alike to discuss the proposed change. It was discussed and a rather vocal and definitely more coherent majority found it to not be a necessary change. No need to get your knickers in a bunch.

Raoul , I respect your opinion and if other people think same way including commission player, its not to be done, but I still think it would be nice to have that on profile, its not so important for game like I said, but I think I think it would be better with it and I said why.

Flea, sorry if you got misleaded, that apostrophe I didnt place in there, my fault, but likewise you shouldnt judge me because I dont speak perfect English, but English is not my first language so I hope you understand that... Also when you talk about me like I dont have time for placing picture on there and making up my quotes , this is still lookaround character and still deciding should I play again or not, when /if I decide to play again it will all be set up well, so dont worry about my loyalty to my crew, as I belive I am more loyal then most of people and that can confirm some people who knows me from the old days. Also like Raoul said he have male name so I knew taht he is male , but for you I wasnt sure because your name could be used for both... Also I dont see reason why someone would like to hide his sex?

Also Flea I have no idea why we got so into this discussion at all, like I said this thing isnt too important at all, I think it would be little better to have it then not have it, thats it.

And also you should first state facts and then talk about it , because majority disagree with me only if you count yourself as 3 guys (And I say guys only because you said you are male, I thought you are female honestly) , 4 of us are for it for now and 3 of you against it.

I would rather see a change where the proper pronouns are used than to see your sex on your profile. There are already enough things on the profile in my opinion.

As to the actual idea, I don't see enough reason to put this in. Nice, mabye. Needed, or worth the time to put in, not for my money
