Today will be seen as a great day for some and a sad day for others in my country. Most will be delighted to hear the news that the 'Iron Lady' Maggie Thatcher has passed away from a stroke today.

She split the country in half, fought the unions and our country spiralled into some of its darkest days under her rule

Even though she managed to get us the EU rebate we're so adamant on receiving and many other things she did for the good of the country, all that pales into comparison to the miners strikes which crippled this country for a long, long time. Some small former mining towns and villages still haven't got over the Thatcher era.

I, for one... am indifferent. As much of an arsehole as she was, she DID do some good for this country.

Say what you may about the Iron Lady, and the Irish tend to have very strong views on her with a lot of justification behind them, she was an exceptionally talented leader as Isiah pointed out.

Many disagreed with her style or disliked it greatly, but she commanded with authority and was a true leader of people. There are painfully few of those in this world, so for that alone I tip my cap to the lady. RIP.

Couldnt disagree anymore, should of happend sooner Thatcher was a puppet for the malign bastards who control the UK. The bankers, arms companies and the royal worshipping filth who would have us believe that freedom of speech is ‘ok’ as long as you do not tell the truth. The saying ‘the truth will set you free’ is now actually ‘The truth will get you a prison sentence.

Im afraid I have to agree with Nicky.

This woman was a scourge that we can finally rid our minds of.

Resopnsible for decimating the working classes and driving our industry into the ground, especially in the North and Wales. There will be countless parties happening tonight which, though harsh, are entirely justified.

I was lucky enough to only be a child growing up in "Thatcher's Britain" but from my parent's and friends parents contempt for her I can assume that as far as the working classes are concerned, she was the devil in disguise.

She will not be missed in my household. And for the most part she will not be missed in the country as a whole.

While I do feel for her kids, family and relatives, that is the only sympathy that will be forthcoming from me.

As for a state funeral with a parade through London, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the well wishers are well outnumbered by those that are there to spit on the ground and turn their backs.

Good Riddance Thatcher, you wont get any sort of a send off from me........

That would be the police and in this instance reference to the Hillsbourough Tradgedy which we all now know was a cover and yet to surface will be the involvement of this cover up Thatchers part, died too soon for my liking.

Although this women has done wrong in many people eyes she has also done right in others.

Tyrion, the royal worshipping filth would be the police you undertsand when people stay at "her madgestys pleasure" that the royals have a say on the police force? 

But if you can tell me exactly what the Royals have done for me, i think youll find in this day and age this is the more common feeling towards the royals.

like in game, in real life I will not speak ill of the dead as much as i would like too.  She came into a situation where the country had problems and was no easy fix. though i cannot agree with what she did, i would feel the same with labour and tuition fees and the red flag's hints of blue now.  This is a policy that has continued since thatcherite britain even if not as severe.

The trade unions lost powers further under labour and is why UKIP or a minor party may collect my votes in future such as the green's.
