Ahh, I believe it is that time again. With the midst's of war slowly, but surely lifting, our attentions are being diverted elsewhere. Whether it be new auths, jail breaking or just a shit load of pettying. I do however want to come back to that first point. New auths. I think its about time for another, "give your opinions on the crewleaders." So I'll start, I'll probably be the only one speaking tbh, the amount of mutes out there, scared to give an opinion in fear of a HQ, but meh. SingWhenYourWinning Easily the strongest of the crew leaders and clearly the best speaker of the bunch aswell. Has a great dedication to his family and the community and is more than willing to kill his own to protect the community. If I remember correctly, everytime I came on here, he was on, protecting his family and fighting against DD. Only down side is his RHM. Obviously a "coffeeshop friend" because I couldn't possibly see any other way that incompetent fool could rise to become RHM. His pointless remarks in the streets and complete disregard of his bosses policies show this guy, im assuming out to be the muppet he really is. Also feel that he may do a "DD" and let the power go to his head. Only time will tell. Oliver_McTavish Second strongest crew leader behind SWYW, obviously. Fought well and rightly deserves to be a crew leader. Her dedication during the war just gone was impeccable and she is a nice person. Shame her RHM is suck a dumbfounded cock. Fuck knows how he ever became a crewleader in the first place, Jesus Christ. I do however believe that Oliver needs to stop listening to her coffeeshop friends so much and starts acting more of own accord. I also think she needs to say more in the streets, rather than shrugging things off with witty one line sentences, which fail. Rancid Who? Yeah, your guess is as good as mine. The guy never speaks, never does anything, I believe he set up during the war. Has had the chance during and after the war to say something and done absolutely jack shit. Prime example of a really shit Crewleader. Best thing about this guy is his RHM, Alessia, whom is nice. Nova As I said above. Who is this randomer? Authed by Oliver, obviously not for having exceptional leadership abilities. Never actually heard or seen the name till now. Goddam it Oliver you need to stop giving your coffeeshop friends auth. Although she, im assuming, hasn't had much time as a crew leader, im still fairly adamant they will turn out to be a shit crewleader. Alas, time will tell. YouSuck Another one who set up during the war. Hasn't impressed my in the slightest and only tried to imvite me into his family as a ploy to HQ me. Never seen him speak in the streets, hell I don't even remember him announcing his family. Not that I searched much for it. Only way to sum this guy up is to use his name against him. He sucks. Only bonus about this guy is ross, who is his RHM. Scandia Ahh Scandia, beloved Tribune Columnist. Graceful enough speaker to write in there yet crumbles and dies mid way through an argument, only to be saved face by a retarded admin writing song lyrics mid way through. But fear not! She did give me some half assed, woeful reply in a mob mail, so its all good. LOL Even when she was SWYW's RHM, she lacked the bollocks to do anything, instead waiting for SWYW to come back. Doomed to fail and will almost certainly hide behind SWYW, should any war arise. Her RHM is an utter mong of the highest nature. His ability to speak, or rather lack of it, makes me heave. Stick to writing fantasy novels love. Conclusion SWYW is clearly miles ahead of the other crewleders, in terms of repsect gained and ability to speak/carry out what he says. If Oliver iron out some minor problems in her family, such as the RHM and a few others, who knows? Either way, to any new Mafioso arriving to this shore, I would head toward either Oliver or SWYW and avoid the other 4 families like the plague, should you wish to get anywhere in this life. Ahh, was wondering when this would arise. The same reply always given, rank up and do something, blah blah blah. Maybe i would, but alas, once i join a family, i will just be shot dead, for having an opinion. And with the only 2 remotely good families full, i would rather die 50 million times over than join on of the other four. Maybe thats why no one ever speaks, out here, they just care to much for their rank. I remember playing in another world, where before anyone became made man, they had to create a dicsussion and actively take part in it, before such an honour was bestowed upon them. Now, it is given out willy nilly and the rank is worth abolsute jack shit, apart from being able to carry more drugs. Its worth has gone as too many people are riding on the backs of thier forefathers and being promoted the moment they recieved it because they were good coffeeshop freinds. I much prefered the days a while back, where i was online pretty much all the time for a month before i made it to Wiseguy, let alone Mademan. I much felt i had earned it that way, even if i was shit on by my fellow family members who had been promted to Mademan before i got Wiseguy because they knew the crewleader. No either say something remotely constructive or fuck off tbh. You just making what i say seem ever more true. |

Hate to break it to you Slogans, but those glasses are REALLY rose tinted. I remember seeing a LOT of people in the 'good ole days' promoted having done approximately jack shit to earn the rank...publicly. I should know, my bloodline made numerous stances against this as a leader. Oh and what is this online? There is nothing wrong with having an opinion, there is something severely wrong with coming out and being openly abusive to your seniors. Its all about how you phrase it :) |

Outside of his views about SWYW and Oliver directly this guy is a fucking idiot.... but ill give him credit i haven't laughed this hard in ages... First of all calling Tnegaterces a "muppet". give me a break, you only wish your bloodline was as good as his. My bloodline and his go back a bit and i will say he has shown leadership and decision making qualities you only wish you could possess. And again... Questioning Olivers RHM lucks and actually wondering why his bloodline made it to auth. Well let me enlighten you Mr.Halfwit lucks' bloodline has been in many places and done many things.. He has helped this community as a whole and involved alot of his time into seeing things come to fruitition. Such as protecting homeless, getting the streets active and getting other people to interact. Now about the other crewleaders... yes they are fairly unknown but A. Nova hasnt even been authed for a day yet, cut the guy some slack. i know for a fact he is a very smart man but is fairly new to the idea and will need help.. hence why he was authed in chicago and not his own city. B. Rancid and YouSuck are both unknown but im sure both of them will prove themselves to be fine CLs.... But let me cut to reality, your father/mother was prolly some pompous big shot cut down in his/her prime and you feel by coming out here and ranting about what you don't know will make up for your heartache. Your not the first and unfortunately not the last little peon to come crying to the masses about the world we live in.... shit happens, get over it... or leave. |

Excuse me Slogans for pissing on your parade. But you mentioned that my RHM was just "a coffeeshop friend". He is there because I trust him and anyone who knows the history of our 2 bloodlines will know that the last time our blodo were both leaders we warred each other. He is there because of the massive amount of respect and trust I have for him. I don't really care what you think of the other leaders or RHM, because quite frankly you have no say in who we choose. If the other family heads trust them, then I shall put my trust in them as well. However, something you have touched on is the lack of activity from certain people. I'd have to agree with you here as some of my current cohorts in crime I have never heard a word from and I came from the same family as most of them. ~SWYW |

I also noted something about getting to Made Man in here so I thought I would pass this on. This is a thread in my HQ titled "Made Man in Marksquad?" Just three simple expectations that you need to know. 1, Get INVOLVED. Street presence is a big part of my life, so I expect you to all have some sort of forum presence. I realise not everyone is as confident speaking in the forums or doesn't have English as a first language. However, you will still be expected to try, I would be willing to spellcheck and add grammar and punctuation to ANY threads or posts coming from someone who is not a confident speaker.. If I see you working hard to be as good as you can be in the forums, then you will have fulfilled this requirement. 2, Something for the family. You need to have earned the respect of your peers. You could do this in MANY ways. Very good earnings, big donations, helping out a newbie to the family, keeping the HQ active, coming up with things to keep us entertained, plus many more. You should be able to work out how to gain a fulfilled status in this category. 3, 500k. No, I am not doing this just to extort money. This 500k will be saved for you until you get authorisation to run a family, once auth is given, the money will be sent back, with a little extra added on top. People who have no desire to run a family will not have to pay this. However if someone doesn't pay it, but then changes their mind a few days later, they will have to pay the 500k then wait at least one month before being considered for auth. If you die before you get authorisation, then the 500k will be passed onto your son/daughter. Myself and Tnegaterces need to have BOTH agreed that you have fulfilled these requirements before you get promoted. It shouldn't be TOO hard to do these. I just wanted to make it known. Seeing as I'm the only Capo, nobody will be making Made without having done some work. I believe Oliver may be implementing this idea too. One person is already being held back from Made because I dont believe he has added anything to the community. |

Oh my god, what a fool we have here, to even think that Tnegaterces is not fit for his job, is like saying the sun is not fit to light the day, of course he fucking is! I know the man well, and he taught me a hell of alot in this world, and i know as RHM go, there is no better than him, and that is me giving my opinion and putting my neck on the line as im not in that family, but its the truth. And as for my own families RHM, he is also more than competent to do his job and more. He was very good CL and will be an excellent RHM for my boss. |

There was a time when these sort of evaluations from bitter mafiosi were funny. It's soooo been done now. The only problem I have with this is your criticism of rank losing its meaning because of the way people are promoted to Mademan. To that, I have to say "HA!". The reason rank lost its meaning has nothing to do with Mademen, but rather the fact that Thugs and Civilians think they have a right to an opinion. Of course rank means nothing, if the lowest of the low think they are entitled to abuse those who hold our lives in their hands. There is no such thing as free speech in the mafia, and the adage of "Respect isn't given, it's earned", is complete bullshit. You WILL respect your Boss and other Bosses whether you like it or not, because they can send you swimming. The idea that you would rather die than show respect does not pan out in reality. (OOC: It's easy to hold that attitude in a game, but we are supposed to be mimicking reality) |
