They're using incorrect figures in the calculations. I'm all for getting a good base to work from on shot selections, but if you're going to go to the trouble of calculating out wackstat you might as well do it correctly, do it worst case or else not at all.

Or you could, you know, try and figure it out for yourself? It's a novel idea, but you might actually like it. There's more than enough information between the public announcements to see where the error lies in every SR (some being far closer to an accurate figure than others) and if this is combined with other 'relatively public' information a full understanding of that area can be built up very quickly. It took me (Satanta, in case anyone is wondering) less than 15 minutes once I decided I wanted to look into it, so it's not exactly an exhausting search. |

oh, ok we're talkimg about multiple hits, maxing your bg shot out etc... then you are prolly right, if thats the case, then more fool them. Personally, they i did it, i feel, was the best guess we could do. |

I don't have a pretty (docs) SR like others do but this was my SR before the war. This included taper as well :)

The SRS math are right you idiot. Maybe you should take another look at how you are doing yours. If I hit multiple, I didn't add it unless I felt it gave me the whole .5 of the kill. I left any BGs that I didn't know the HP values OFF the SR. Or if I think they didn't give me the full .5, I didn't put on the SR. If you were referring to Magneto's tho, then yeah I can the mistakes rofl. |

Firstly, and most importantly, please don't insult users in the OOC forum. It's beneath you and does nothing by make you look incapable of having an intelligent discussion. If you disagree with something I say, attack the point I make. If you attack my intelligence, not my point or my character, you really won't like the results. Now, onto me being an idiot.

Yes. I can now understand how I'm a complete idiot and your SR is completely accurate and without fault. (/sarcasm)
If you want to rephrase that to "I'm happy enough that mine represents a good 'worst case scenario' Satanta and is the lowest my wackstat might be given what I've hit" I might agree. However, to say I'm an 'idiot' for pointing out inaccuracies and then clearly outlining the inaccuracies in your own SR is nothing short of proving me correct and making yourself look ignorant.
Your SR 'might' be a little more accurate than others, if you are correctly identifying which shots are the full 0.5 and which are not, but you've clearly pointed out that some is based on best guess and other data is completely missing (nothing wrong with that, but it makes it a 'worst case' and not a 'totally accurate').
I'm simply raising it so new players don't feel overwhelmed to start producing complicated formulae to calculate an overly detailed wackstat figure that simply isn't correct. There was a time when a number of players could produce it to a T, I was one of them, but it simply isn't possible with the changes that have happened in the game (and it's more than just related to BGs). It's a positive thing and is reintroducing some of the mystery that had been lacking for far too long.

Again, without kowing where the top 10 was, it was best guess as to what the top 10 guns actually were. of course based of YOUR own cities numbers you can make a rough guess, but unless you know for sure, pretty much like now, you can guess the top 10. im all for the what if factor, im all for people getting their numbers wrong, it makes for interesting playing. I personally was about to start tappering at +850, this was, in my mind outside of the top 10, but id rather underestimate my wack stat, "best case scenario". But all the mystery, IMO, adds the surprise ellement back to the game. |
