I think you are confused between what is "Real life" and what is not, Altho it might be out of character the same rules should apply.

This would be like someone creating a thread of all of their WS's. It should be frowned upon.

How is this not the exact definition of OOC? It's about the game, from people who are showing the whack-stat of an account that has been whacked themselves. Omerta is the roleplaying aspect of the game, and we are not roleplaying here, which means we rely on the non-roleplaying reason of why we hide our shot records which is to keep everything as secretive as possible for when the inevitable wars come along - which does not matter for those deceased here.

A few years ago that argument could have been made about sharing wack information on IRC. Its not in character so why not? heh

I'm just voicing my opinion that sharing stats even of a deceased member of your bloodline is breaching the vow that was there between hitter and leader/HitSquad leader.

Does dying suddenly make it ok to share private information about a leaders future plans or impending takedown(s)? Just because you are no longer with that organization does it make it acceptable to stab them in the back? 

Sharing information like gunscore after vowing to keep it secret is extremely similar and should be viewed as such.

But just my opinion, I'm obviously not keeping up with the times... Quite a few years ago it was deemed unacceptable, but then a few of the larger hitters of the time shared their gun history... and it becomes the norm.

I'm not trying to force anyone to stop doing it... Same as noone can stop me frowning upon it.

How long ago was it frowned upon, Joseph-Donnelly? It was happening in 2003, but probably to a lesser extent. I don't see anything wrong with it personally, aside from having to sift through the masses of NPCs... but let's not develop that discussion any further!

Joseph-Donnelly, thank you looking like an idiot.  A character is dead like Fry said, so there is literally no reason to hide your wack stat anymore.  It cans be used.

It's certainly not the be all and end all, but sharing a wackstat is basically saying 'Hey guys, here's an indication of how quickly I'm able to build a gun' to any future competitor. Pretty foolish as far as I'm concerned, especially since it's a practice driven solely by narcissism and arrogance.

Not really Cantona.  Alot of people build faster on one account than another, or as you know very well can get account boosts from the admins.  Most of the site has showed off there wack stats for as long as I have been around.  So I guess everyone except for YOU is very arrogant!

Right yeah. This thread is 7 months old and has 56 replies (not all of which are sharing wack stats). Consider that there have been some very big deaths in the past 7 months, and consider that according to the stats page there are 657 accounts - I'm not sure how you're defining most.

At the end of the day, the only reason to share your account stats is to show off and have people say 'oh wow guy, well done you'. I honestly can't see a motivation beyond it beyond either arrogance or validation. Each to their own though I guess.

How many of those are inactive, probably only 500 of them really.  Most of the big deaths have showed off their stats in their owns posts, which I am sure you can figure that out, you are a smart guy!  A lot of the people who keep dying in the past 7 months, are the ones that die over and over again.  Perrin, Odin, Anomaly they all made there own stats thread,  which you can find on page two of the OOC!

I will admit that only 500 could be classed as active - and your 3 additions have certainly made me reconsider. An estimated 50/500 certainly constitutes a majority.
