I remeber making this thread a long as time ago. The protection wouldnt last you for hours on end. Id suggest that if you havnt been active in the last 24 hours then you would get no protection from offline. This is mainly for the people who maybe had a family member die or somthing along those lines. Maybe this person plays an insane amount and has put over 1k hours into the current character, then that person has a family emergancy that they have to go to and know they are not gonna be online for a bit. This would prevent them from dieing and not having a chance to even defend themselves.

So really the suggestion would be 10 minute grace period after you log off where you can still be shot, if you have not been active in the past 24 hours then you get no offline protection. maybe the protection last for 2 or 3 hours after you log off. This way no abusing it and it would end before any pro shot is worn off. That way if you have not logged in to get another pro shot you can still die even while being offline. 

I for one am all for the idea of some sort of protection from being killed while i am asleep. Many have said that is part of war but where is the fun in killing a char while they are asleep? When they have no chance to fight back unless they survive the first wave of kills. I would love to work with people and figure out away we could add somthing like this but also not ruin wars.

I agree GavinByrne I also don't like the idea of tying in a 20 credits for an 8hr pro time as it means people with more expendable income can just buy their way to safety. You take your shots, get your pros, and then when your pro is about to expire you all log off with yuour 8 hr pro over night, coming back the next morning fresh and ready to continue the war.

No, not friends. You can be hunted down and someone can sneak into your house and kill you in bed. Its happened many times.

Let this idea die in 2013 where it belongs.
