Anyhow. Marshal, You aks a pretty fair question. This little move, with a half dozen or so names on the hitlist, Has happened 3 or 4 times in my memory. In each case, You see the "I wanna be noticed" reason. You see the "I want this fuck dead" reason, and you see the "Lets see if we can mess with the economy" reason.

As to which this particular bunch is using, I might in fact hazard a guess that attention is not what he/she/they seek. After all, as soon as this discussion of their motivation was posted, your name went on the list also. Given that each one has a reason attached, batshit though they may be, and that with the exception of a couple of the ones on assasin, the "reasons" are at least serious, I think that Some clown really did not like how these little expirements ended, and felt the need to make a statement about it. 

Of course, as has been said, The amounts won't actually draw a shot, except perhaps from one or two little fools. but those will fail, and die.
