I think it's hard to decide which band is the best out of all of them because there are so many varieties and tastes. How do you compare classical music to heavy metal? Both can be amazing or terrible. It's all in the ear of the beholder.

That being said, Linkin Park is probably my favorite band, but I still can't call them the best. What even is "the best"?

Depends on the genera, for rock you had Guns and Roses, System of a Down, Pearl Jam, Nirvanna.

Techno/trance, Deadmau5, Bass Hunter,  Daft Punk, FatmanSlim.

Could go on, my personal goto is Pearl Jam for rock vibes.

There are many different bands that I feel are the best, but as many has said before. It all depends on the genre. Me myself don't exactly like trance/techno, but I love rock and pop and other genres. 

Best band through time is hard to pick for me. I mean.. I love Rammstein, Metallica, Linkin Park, The Temptations.. I have a ton of other bands I love, but can't get on my mind right now. 

Then we have artists that I feel are the best too, but they are not bands.. Like Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley.
