While I understand the frustration you seem to feel about the -48's and agree to a point, have any of the many discussions of this sort been acted on simply because we do or do NOT like it? The Gods want this and will not change unless THEY want it changed. It doesn't matter if we all bitched in the streets. I believe that is Hypno's point here KOOP. |

Mirage looks at her associates from Detroit. Are you guys kidding? Is that the best you can come up with? We should just be quiet about it and not express our opinions because this has been talked about before? These streets are open for everyone to talk about business even if it's been talked about before. Disagree and debate, but please don't tell people they shouldn't talk about topics just because they've been talked about before. |

If the gods wanted this as you suggest, they would have made us unable to touch youngsters. They have not. They simply allowed us an extra function to view the laws as they were at the time. Hell, if we the families of the 7 cities and the leaders of the 7 cities want to change something.... we can! We don't need to worry about what has happened before, the past is the past. And if the gods have an opinion on anything which is done, they can change things within their power to change. The rule on youngsters was never introduced by the gods, it was introduced by leaders, introduced in a time when the 'rules' were very different and when this was a requirement for the safe passage into a family. Something which, in my own opinion, is no longer required. |

BlackVampire, the mafia isn't a democracy, but these streets are here for discussions and debates. I'm disappointed the only response from an authority figure is basically, follow the rule or die. I follow the rules. My opinion regarding this rule isn't because I'm wack happy. It's because it makes no sense for a leader to kill their members for killing unsponsored. As long as it continues my opinion will always be the community is obviously more important than family. |

| Mirage, I'm sorry for not putting this in my post. I was not saying this discussion was a waste of time or anything like that. I love these discussions. They are what keeps our community going and keeps it interesting. Hypno, KingOfOnePercent, and Mike were saying that we have the power to change things in our world. I was just stating that we really have no power at all in these matters. | |

An unsponsored running around committing crimes does not affect us a single bit. Fact. They rob little establishments that are not protected by an entity or family. Fact. The moment they commit a crime towards another, be it either a pickpocket or an attempted wack, they are killed for it. Fact. When one of my members come to me asking for authority to blatantly attack one of these people for no other reason than the fact that he/she has not shot at anything for a while, of course I will firmly deny any requests for auth. What disturbs me more, is when I have given him/her the big NO, he/she still attempts the shot and is caught for not obeying an order that I had given directly. |

Having taken some time to read what my fellow Cutian has said and take in others peoples opinions, I feel I can throw my own out there for whoever is interested. In my honest opinion, to say that having 48 hours is beneficial to new Mafioso arriving on these shores is perhaps a tad generous at best. Of course I don't have access to things such as figures for the days of Pre-48 hours grace and the figures in the current situation (in terms of deaths), but I've always been a firm believer that 24 hours is more than adequate. Understandably, some will completely disagree and some may agree (as is the case with a few I have seen taking part in this discussion) and that is fine, this is why dear KOOP brought it to the streets - To discuss. Just because it was brought to the forefront does not mean that Mr Percent is trying to test anyone's "friendship", he obeys the rules in which I have set out in my HeadQuarters same as everyone else. Things may never change, it may stay at 48 hours grace for new arrivals forever, it might increase to 72 hours.. Who knows, but I am always more than happy to offer my opinion on said matter. |
