Squishy did talk about further implements such as protection rackets but it was a while ago.

I'm hoping that it has been noted that so many players just haven't taken to districts in their current form that the idea of pushing us even further into that abyss has been shelved. I do think it's legitimate to still be hoping for a u-turn: Yes, a lot of time and work has gone in but when it doesn't seem to have been much of a success and the system still has so many people unhappy with it, sometimes the right decision to make is the one that feels like the biggest kick in the balls.

I have a question because I honestly believe in what you just said but my question is, if the game decided to make their own decisions and change the game the way they wanted and it was unanimous that it would be lets say 1 GF and 3 families tops in one city, could the game alter itself to close every district except the chosen one and perhaps add more cities?
 

Just a thought that went through my head reading what you said but it is something I am very curious of because a lot of people want what was mentioned above and I was just thinking if the game is played based on what the user wants when it comes to amount of GF's and what not, I was thinking one day sometime long in the future people could give it a try and see if it is truly better for the user experience, granted you would play a huge roll in doing this and in the end people might not like it as well as how things work now but at least people could say they tried it?

Unfortunately Squishy the choice isn't fully on the Godfathers when crew leaders are penalised with a mayor tax if there is no Godfather in their district, perhaps if that was changed so you only have to pay the mayor if there is no Godfather in the city.

For example if there is one GF tribute from all districts goes to that Godfather (should they wish to claim it)

If two then the tax could be split 50/50 or go to just one Godfather, ect.

The point being as long as a Godfather is being paid then the Mayor shouldn't be as the Godfather leans on the Mayor.

I'd really like to see districts gone. There is a massive amount of crews and not enough people to go around. Seems silly to me.

But if this would never change than just a Godfather per city seems reasonable. There are not many cities that don't work together as a whole and the ones that do act separately easily get cleared out.

If that were the case Alexander the code would still have to be changed regardless.

If people didn't take godfather but there was a godfather then mayors should be removed. Otherwise there is no point in not taking the promotion since you would still have to pay the mayor.

Yeah, avoiding taxes and imposing none may be cool and smooth... Might receive donations in fiscal paradise :p

This could work if it were something like a commission in each city.
