The streets of South Side were alive on the hot summer night. The band at the old jazz house on the corner were just starting up for the evening, and the people were roaming the streets after waiting on the sun to go down for the evening. As the night came alive, SwaggDinero looks out over the balcony of the Sophisticate headquarters to watch the party, just having gotten ready to go out himself. Tonight was the night, tonight was his night. Feeling a tap on the shoulder, he turns around to see Princess standing there in her finest party dress, smiling brightly as she takes his arm.

Walking down the stairs to the outside, SwaggDinero helps Princess to her chair before approaching the podium, clearing his throat loudly before speaking to the crowd that had gathered around.

"Thank you all for coming, ladies and gents. I will make this short and sweet. To help our community grow, I am stepping up to have a family of my own. I want to thank Princess and South Side for this opportunity to prove myself to each and everyone of you. Although our district has seen hard times before, I know this is a step in the right direction. Tonight is when I open my doors. Tonight is when I introduce to you, Brick Squad."

The crowd claps loudly as he nods and turns to Princess, hugging her before accepting the keys to his new HQ. He knew there was no going back after this, but he didn't care. He was ready.

I would not call you a rogue but I cannot help but agree with Achilles. I do not see the purpose in this move while there is plenty of space in the other crew. 

If it was your Godfather's decision though who am I to question it?

I’m sure a telegram was sent out to each crew leader and godfather of this world from Princess announcing SwaggDinero’s auth. Not everyone gets that message so it’s easy to think “Rogue?”. I come from the district SwaggDinero has just been authed and I have had no messages that he has rogued. This is a legit auth, but I understand why others would ask the question, without any information from the district’s head. 

Maria’s message on crew leaders relying on telegrams for protection order comes to a highlight here with a new auth. Godfathers and Crew leaders cannot rely on the mailing system to get their message out. 

"Wow, I can't even believe this is being discussed. I sent out a telegram to 120 people and this is still being questioned if my crew leader is legit or not. This is happening because HandsomeRob is unable to spend much time as originally planned and it was decided that this was the best plan of action."

Princess shakes her head in disbelief before hugging Swagg tightly.

"Thank you for sticking by my side through everything and I am very honored to be able to give you this chance. I know you will make Big Poppa proud. BRICK SQUAD!"

120 people or not, I didn't get a mail on the subject, so until you yourself turned up here to speak on the matter, Princess, I was basically just assuming that he wasn't a particularly brazen rogue. You can send a mail, but you can't be sure it'll be passed on down... which is, really, yet another argument for speeches from our higher ups on things that matter. As Godfather Mako pointed out in reply to my own earlier speech, the mail service can take hours to reach everybody, the streets take seconds. 

Maria shrugs.

I don't wish to take away from your auth though, SwaggDinero. Although I'm sad to see HandsomeRob taking the decision that he can't dedicate enough time, he must be respected for taking it rather than leaving others to pick up his slack. Congratulations on your auth SwaggDinero, I'm sure you'll fill the gap Rob leaves behind fantastically. 

Curtis watches the announcement and the subsequent conversartion

This appears to be another change in procedure since my line was last here. In every generation my blood have ever existed in (from 2003 until now) an auth has always, without exception, been announced by the superior leader that gave the auth. It was almost always followed by a speech by the newly authed leader and then everyone knew it was a legitimate promotion. Without this, anyone going bold would be immediately killed as a rogue. Even if they came to the streets to introduce themselves as a new leader, they would still be shot as a rogue without the initial public introduction by the superior authing Leader or Godfather. 

I am just seeing this situation now, for the first time in this lifetime and I must agree that it is quite the departure from traditional protocol. I can't see how it's a beneficial change.

Try not tripping over your rhetoric too much, guys. If a leader is absent, who's in charge? The right hand man. In the Streets, Princess is quite absent, so Swagg's words carry the same weight as Princess's in their district. It's all quite simple really.

Congratulations, Swagg. Hopefully you'll be as Handsome of a leader as your predecessor.

I'm not assuming anything; I'm telling you how things work in our world. Even if you don't agree with me, how would you go about "handling" Swagg as a rogue?

• You see no auth speech from his leader, so you're concerned that he may be a rogue. Fair concern, I suppose.
• You wouldn't shoot at a potentially-authed CL without talking to your own upper structure first for authorization on the shot. If you would shoot at a Don CL without talking to your leader or hands, that's absurdly irresponsible.
• You would talk to your upper structure, who was duly notified of Swagg's authenticity, and they would tell you to calm the fuck down.
• You would holster your gun, and not have distaste to shove so much of your foot into your mouth in these Streets.

I don't like that Princess avoids the Streets, but that's the way she's running things in her district. Get over it.
