| The Deal With New York! | Started by: Guardian on Mar 05, '09 17:51 |
|
Guardian's private plane touches down on the Chicago runway, fresh from a round-trip to New York. After a brief jaunt to the HQ, he heads out onto the streets, with Don FrankieFigs by his side, and attracts the attention of the crowds. I would like to open by welcoming FrankieFigs and all members of the DLS to Chicago, it's an honour to be working with such well-established stand-up guys n gals. As announced by Don Frankie mere moments ago, the city of New York is now under the control of Chicago. Frankie's empire is extremely well respected across our cities, and will make a stunning addition to the broader Chicago family. The Chasseurs could not be happier that they will be joining us in The Windy City, I am sure it will prove to be a great union. Frankie, myself, and our closest advisors have decided to rent the five districts of New York City: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. These will be available to those that wish to nurture their own family and grow their business empire. Despite the fact, there are five districts, we will only be making two available for the moment. Depending on demand and growth, we may open a third up in the foreseeable future. In the meantime, the first rental districts will be The Bronx and Queens. I know there will be questions brewing already, so here's how it's going to work. These families will not be a direct addition to the Chicago families. I am only renting the physical space in New York. How someone chooses to run their family and their business does not matter to me. Beyond rental payment for the turf, there will be no relation with Chicago whatsoever. The rental process is straightforward. If you want to rent one of the districts, you will go through the application and approval system. All serious applicants must contact Sherminator and Ire, do not contact myself or Frankie directly. After receiving your application, the process will begin and an interview scheduled. Only when you are approved by our Districts Board, and have been deemed a good proposition, will discussions over pricing begin. Provided all parties are happy with the terms, then the deal shall be done and your journey really begins. |

| An extremely interesting venture, something we don't really see, and I'm intrigued to see how it unfolds. Best of luck to those involved and those planning on trying to move into New York. | |

| A great fresh idea to give young budding potentials a chance to make a name for them self, its good to see someone giving everyone an equal chance at something. I look forward to seeing the people who get to take up the position and wish them the best of luck. | |

| I'd just like to echo the sentiments that have been voiced previously. A new, novel approach, clearly indicate that you are a forward thinking businessman Godfather Guardian. Im looking forward to seeing what transpires in the Bronx and Queens and hopefully New York will prosper once more. Interesting times await us. | |

This is certainly an innovative way to both bring additional money into Chicago and allow new faces a chance to run a family. I am excited to see how this will unfold. I do have one quick question, Godfather Guardian, that I'm sure others are also wondering. What is the deadline for these potential new leaders to submit their applications to the appropriate persons? |

Mr Alaric_Malloy! There isn't a set date for the applications to be in...it's more when we find the appropriate people to take New York forward. I would get the application in asap, so you don't miss out on the opportunity though. |

Interesting indeed Mr. Guardian, I actually like the idea. I am sure that you will only pick qualified leaders for these positions. You are an excellent leader yourself, and I cannot see why you would lower your standards for anyone else. We shall see how this goes. |

I like the idea, and the principle behind it *Money* Good way to build your bankroll, while competing in the criminal market for drugs in an execellent fashion. If I wasnt so poor from these hrd financial times, id have to take a look.. for NY is a great city with a lot of history and potential. Opens up his wallet.. moving aside a few piece of tissue and random pictres |

Personally, I think the idea is disgusting. You are actively encouraging people to break ties with their own famiglia for the sole purpose of personal progression. What happened to family first, eh? |

| On some levels I agree with what TeQ has said, but all the same, any real mafioso would have spoken to their family head before sending in an application, if they don't, then meh..some leader they are are going to make. | |

VivaLaTeq, do you believe it's up to Guardian to watch out for other families, or to ensure that other family members do the right thing? I don't. Guardian's and Frankie's priority is surely their own family and the flow of cash into that family, nothing else. As for people moving city for the sole purpose of personal progression, we have a very recent and very high profile precedent on that. What about those who go through this process with their leader's blessing in order to strengthen their current family's position? "Family first" might infact be the reason some people pursue this move. As Frankie correctly points out, you would imagine that most people who apply for an HQ in New York will do so after discussing it with their family leader. However, that responsibility falls on their own head, no one else's. To think otherwise is naive. |

| TeQ, my motto is Family First, what another family does is their own business. If they have different morals than I do, why not profit off of that? After all, I am a business man. | |

I applaud this wonderful idea and wish the GF and the new Chicago crew the best of luck! I do have to say that this process rings rather similar to my recent venture to broker "A Crew For A Day" between a prospect for a crewleader and a city godfather. tis a shame I did not have my idea patented. Then again, the GF of Chicago would have just made me an (horses ass) offer i could not refuse. |

You're not quite catching my drift, gentlemen. The point is nothing to do with members asking their leaders permission first, or anything like that. The point is that you are effectively "dangling the carrot". Therefore you are encouraging people to break ties with their own family. You are giving them incentive to ditch their own leader. If the carrot was not there, they would sit and wait and maybe get authorisation from their own family head and have close ties with their previous Boss, therefore creating stronger family bonds. |

*agrees with TeQ once again* I think I can solve this problem here TeQ. I think the problem here is that you're a old school mobster, like myself TeQ. Back in our day if you even considered a offer like this and asked you CL your crews hitsquad leader would reply in your "Whisper". That was a different way of life all together. THings have softened over the years as I have noticed each time my bloodline touches down on these shores. I guess we have to learn to deal with the new generation of mobster. *having spoken way more than usual KA deserves a joint* *lites up* |
