... At the Cadillac dealership, Deadpool catches a business card blowing in the wind. Weird. I can't read Spanish, anyway. He throws it back in the air and watches it blow away. Remembering why he's there, he turns to the Cadillac dealer. Hey, you have the big V-8 in black? The dealer nods. What about red? Again, the dealer nods. What about bright yellow? Orange? Fuschia? Burnt Sienna? C'mon man, don't stand there looking confused, sell me a car! Well, to hell with it. I'll just walk down the street and steal a Ford instead. |

Jim wanders around the lot studying the cars. Good solid bodywork and by the looks of the powerplants and exhaust systems it would have little trouble hauling around some extra steel in the doors. Hell, they sure did look kinda stylish, especially in black. The cars just seemed a little too common though. What he really wanted was something that would make people sit up and take notice. There was something romantic about a maserati or a ferrari. Everybody knew that was YOU coming in YOUR car - the one and only deserved to drive another one and only. Jim really missed his Cord. That was one fine machine. ah...another salesman heading his way, time for Jim to duck behind another boat somewhere while the guys head was turned. He was really in no mood to deal with some pushy salesman who couldn't afford the hubcaps of one of Jims cars! *sighs heavily* while bending down to inspect the exhaust system again. He really hoped that his newly found "interest" was intending to come back. In reality Jim could pretty much always detect a brush off - and the girl actually seemed genuine, a rare thing these days. It had been a very long time since a women had effected Jim; but for some reason his heart seemed to beat a little faster around her. Common sense told Jim that his lifestyle was not condusive to serious relationships and that, of all the women in the world, about the worst possible choice would be another mafioso, especially one from another family. An instant conflict of interest that would be - and a very major weakness if people found out.. |

Swings around the corner in his new Ford Hiya pal, you seem to talk down about fords, maybe it's the driver did you ever stop to think about that!? If it wasn't for Ford where would America be? I believe it was Henry Ford who is helping revolutionize this messed up world. Plus cheap cars equals better payoff for us, if yah know what I mean. Gives Jr. a evil grin and walks away |

Jim watches the stranger walking away and wonders if perhaps he has escaped from a nearby hospital or is just off his medication or something. He had never seen him before in his life, of that much Jim was certain; unless perhaps he was hiding in the trunk of the caddy when he was picked up? There certainly had been more than a few odd things happen then. As Jim stared on with amazement the fellow does a wonderful mime act by the bus stop, opening his "car" door and sitting down in the "front seat". DJ can't help but chuckle as the fellow puts the "key" in the "ignition" and fires that bad boy up - making little "broom broom" noises through closed lips. Well, he had to do something to amuse himself whilst awaiting the return of his vivacious new companion so he walked up to the fellow and signaled at him to roll down his window, all the while muffling his own voice to make indistinguishable noises. Hey there fella, sorry to disturb you; but this is one fine looking automobile. You see I'm in the market for a new car myself and this one looks like she's right up my alley. What marque of vehicle is this? From whence didst though purchaseth it? ... FORD the fellow bellowed. Finest On Road Dude! Jim did his best to stifle his laughter. He thought about yelling back something about how they had to yell to be heard of the roar of that huge motor; but thought better of it considering the surroundings. Didn't want to attract too much attention whilst out of town... Magnificent. FORD you say? Must be a new model; brand spanking new. Very nice. What's it called. Is that real leather in there? Can you get bucket seats do you know - I'm not much of one for those big "bench" seats like you've got there - people walking by see your car with all that seating space and they seem to think they can just come and sit themselves right down beside you! |

Deadpool sees a crappy mime act that catches his eye before he leaves the Cadillac dealer. A mime? I hate mimes. Nearly as much as I hate clowns. Deadpool recognizes the son of Diamond_Jim. Hey kid! I knew your dad. Anything he told you about me was a lie. Unless he said I was great. That was true. Buying a car? You gotta know how to deal with these guys. Watch. Deadpool signals the salesman back. Hey, buddy. I'm back. Did you get any of the big V-8 models in Burnt Sienna yet? What the hell is taking so long. I tell you what. My buddy here will take that black one off your hands for about half of what you're asking. Wait! Don't thank me. Just get my model in Raw Umber and we'll call it even. Deadpool grabs the salesman's hand and begins shaking it. You see Jim, that's how you deal with these guys. Don't forget. I want my model in Olive Drab. In the meantime, I'll just borrow that little roadster you're driving. Wait! I know what you're thinking. But don't worry, I don't even need the keys. Have a great day! Deadpool hotwires the salesman's car and drives away. |
