Jordyn, I have to say that's a really naive approach and tbh, logic that I'm tired of hearing. It's the same argument with any take down. Crew leader A has fucked up, they're a threat, so said crew leader and their respective family are taken out. You may call it death by association, it could be considered collateral damage, either way that family will be taken out. Let's out this logic into ny and take some perspective on it. Ny was a huge, huge city by any standards, it was full of 3033- a group of people that have monopolised this place, they have ears all over this world, that has been proved time and time again, no? So, what, do we just remove who think would be a threat, or do we move all who could be a threat, because we can? The latter is always the best option, no matter how upset you're that your kin died, he'll my kin died but I know that what happened was for the betterment of this thing we hold dear. Of course no city is perfect, that would be silly to think it, but it is a dog-eat-dog mentality, I can pretty much assume that ny would have come knocking on the doors of those in ch and ph soon enough, again by your logic, do you think my would have only removed those who have tucked up, I can tell you that right now, they would remove them all, of corse they would. Like I said, you'd be stupid to think otherwise. |

I still don't know this 3033 group you're talking about, Space-to-the-pole. Do you perhaps mean the 303303? |

Having not found myself on these shores for long, having been ripped from my wife and enforced in this slavery, I cannot really comment on the past. What I can say is this JordynCarelli. Standards may have slipped across the board. But enforcing new measures to remedy this is not easy when the main powerhouse is not you. To remove New York the threat of war has been removed if Chicago and Philly do wish to introduce new rules. I do not know where Las Vegas fits into this equation so will not comment on them. From what I have been told New York held all the aces. They drove this world in the direction they wished. People obviously did not like it and wanted change. To instigate change you must be in charge of everything you do. Had New York remained you could not push them into accepting new laws and rules. They had to die for perceived standards to be raised. Whether this happens remains to be seen. To be as proactive as the Godfathers were in removing them I cannot see them sitting on their laurels for long. But, to be honest, I much prefer the reason we did it because we could. Nothing at all wrong with that. This is, apparently, the mafia. Power grabs are what it's all about? Except for us slaves who are treated like shite.. |

| maedhros you can give it the full name if you like, the group, as an outsider, it was commonly called 3033, so if you like, carry on being pedantic, I tried not to rise to the first time you asked, but alas, I've had a few beers. There where many people of this world that shortened it, some even called them 303' in saying any of these various, every gangster on this planet would know who you was referring to. | |

The common abbreviation for the 303303 is - to my knowledge - 303. It would seem silly to shorten it to 3033 in my eyes! Also, I am not a gangster so sadly I didn't know who you were referring to, sorry. |

It is actually not naive to have my views. To be realistic and acknowledge that every city has their faults. I am not arguing the down to basic reason of "Just because we could." In fact it is nice to hear that a city can own up to just that. However, the extra tidbit on standards, well that makes me extremely skeptical given the realistic facts. Do I hate Chicago? No. As someone said to me before I can't hate a place. I just dislike this standards dropping reasoning. Spartacus, I can respect that point of view. I can even understand it, however when you don't take the approaches in your own city first it is rather hypocritical. New York didn't control how Chicago was run from as far as my ancestors could tell from their stays in both respective cities. So what is the excuse there? Space-to-the-pole, you can only use the 303 excuse for so long. This community has seen many of them die off in various ways well before this point. |

the gangster comment was not specific to your rank, that would be just silly given all the different ranks within this thing wouldn't it? It was referring to the choice of career and the nature of the job that we find our selfs doing. Like I said, you could abbreviate it to what ever combination you feel will tickle your nuts, nonetheless, EVERY PERSON here will understand who you're talking about, it's not a hard notion to understand, surely ? |

I came out here today ready to jump into an active and interesting conversation discussing the pros and cons of what had happened over the last day or so. I'm but a young man, but my pappy raised me well and made me aware of much of the goings on during the time period in question. He was a drunken Irish idiot, much like all the rest of my bloodline, but he was still my blood and I'll throw back a whiskey later in his honour. So... getting back to the interesting conversation. "I'm not repeating myself again, I've already said it multiple times over on IRC avenue" turns to "Ohhh my god, people are aware of what I said over on IRC avenue". Pick one and stick with it please Jordyn, it'll speed things up and let us actually chat about something of substance here.... hopefully... eventually. I have to imagine that every single person that was involved in the events had their own reasons for doing so. Some for revenge for previous actions, some out of fear or paranoia, some out of a wish for shits and giggles even.... but enough people wanted it done for good reasons (in their minds) that they were willing to put in the work to make it happen. Great people died yesterday. It's a true shame. People from Philly, Chicago and New York. People that had put in one hell of a run in controlling the world around us, people that had bags of potential to go on and become legends of the future and people that had done nothing wrong whatsoever and died based on nothing more than who that had pledged loyalty to. Is that a shame? Of course. I hope their souls rest in peace. However, it's how our world works and how it will always work. Now, if you've a specific complaint, raise it. If you've an issue, say it here in public. Please stop with bullshit regarding previous conversations held elsewhere among people that the rest of us have no idea about and either get to a point or leave the conversation to people that have a point. There are interesting conversations to be had here. What you're doing so far isn't part of that. |

Jordyn, do you think you're privy to a reason, I can tell you now, that you're not. Count your self lucky that you've been told, it's a common curtesy than it is a rule. I'm over the "3033"... See what I did there maedhros, but it was one of the defining factors, of course it was! So it's extremely relevant that I bring it up. Standards slip, we didn't like them, because we could, we wanted them dead, he said my mother was a whore, no matter of the reason, it a reason. For all you know, it's lie, it wouldn't be the first and it certainly won't be the last, but it's a reason. With a good enough reason, you can achieve anything, is what I wise old man once said to me. It's true, never a truer word spoken, imo. I'd rather a city say, we did it because we could, than make some utter bullshit up, ultimately, it's the nature of the beast. |

I must say, this is one of the best speeches I have heard after a war or take down in a very long time. Not filled with a bunch of bullshit and lies to try and make oneself look better to the rest, instead a wonderful I don't give a shit what anyone thinks we did what we could and we succeeded. Bravo to the victors and good fight to those that have fallen, some of you really showed your true colors and what you could achieve. Now with all this talk about standards slipping, I agree with those that point out that this happens to every city and district. No one can deny that standards will slip when someone or a group stays in power for some time. Now I don't want to point fingers because I know most will say my reasoning behind it is that I'm upset that I died but that is not the case, I just want to point out that all cities and districts even the latest victors of the last war will occasionally have standards slipping. I know multiple people including myself that died in the war and their sons and daughters were approached by members of Chicago asking without any of us ever talking to them, doing jobs or showing any interest at all in working for them to come be their associate. When this was pointed out to their crew leaders it was just shrugged off and one deceased crew leader even said that it looked like they were just trying to strike up conversation, when the message was only would you like to come work for Chicago. I know I know, who cares not that big of a deal. But in reality when cities are warring and you are sending out invites to newcomers there is a very good chance your requesting the sons and daughters of those that you just killed to come on over to the enemies side and a lot of people take this as disrespectful. So what happened after all this you ask? Well the family that was found to be the worst culprit, their crew leader was promoted to Godfather! Now if this isn't standards slipping, I don't know what is. Now let me repeat what I said before this long drawn out speech, Chicago is NOT the only culprit where standards are slipping. New York and every other city and district also has issues that could easily be fixed much like what I just mentioned, all easily fixable. I will finish by making another repetition of what I started with because I know someone will think I'm just throwing stones because I'm upset my father was killed but that is not the point at all. Congratulations to the victors, you had a hard fight and you fought it well to the end. Not too long ago Chicago was nothing compared to New York and you guys really showed everyone that people CAN come together, expand quickly and become the new powerhouse on the block. To the sons and daughters out there of the fallen, the most of you showed that we would not go down without a long fucking fight and even with most of our leaders taken out in the first wave you could still hold your own for quite some time and put quite the hurting on the victors. Good luck to all those in your rebuilding of what has been destroyed. |

Before I make a few points I should clarify one or two things so that those planning to disregard everything I say and scream "salty" can get their confirmation. As of the last reading based on the late Vincent_Valentine's scale of saltiness I apparently registered at: ☑ VForcedMeToSignUp Furthermore I wasn't part of New York and my father's death in the last war was entirely voluntarily and a mere Earner so he certainly didn't lose a lot. Now that has been cleared up for the majority of simple minded folk listening I hope to address the topic at hand. I must say I'm bemused at such a high level of bravado displayed by your fine self HubertCapone, considering the general lack of usefulness you probably were personally during the war. I'd imagine that's what has rubbed some people the wrong way, fair enough if one of the (more) competant Godfathers was out here blowing hot air about his impressive take down, dnd it was an impressive first wave though no doubt. Instead they send out you, perhaps it's because of your self proclaimed old school mafioso ways or your self proclaimed great public speaking or (and I think this is most likely) those that actually did something during the war are too tired to speak much right now. That and they're probably finally looking forward to giving their tongues a rest after a year of rim jobbing those at the top - "Yes Sir, no Sir, can I shoot CristianoRonaldo and his district Sir?" This fresh air feels kinda nice now doesn't it? I suspect that this "explanation" has probably rubbed up a few of the Philadelphian's the wrong way too considering you don't even mention the importance they played in this removal. Instead talking about The Loop this and that, quickly forgetting that a 303303 Godfather built that shit hole up into something somewhat resembling a decent district prior to his Godly removal for tenuous at best reasons. Along with another 3 being removed by higher forces, as they say though "It takes a King to kill a King." So finally I just have some thoughts on the current landscape and it'll be interesting to see whether it's in line with the conversations almost certainly taking place right now by those now at the top.
So just to reiterate what I said earlier, congratulations to the victors. It's well know that he who shoots first in wars wins most of the time all the time, unless you're a noob. Bare that in mind those at the top and I look forward to pro'ing some of you. Just need to decide who's going to attack first between Chicago and Philadelphia, anyone got any tips? Kuku? |

As usual a tragic war with losses for both sides and new vacuums created. The interesting part will be if mobsters are attracted back to the six cities by this when we seem to be stuttering at time to fill the crews that exist and the often uneven spread of members also any future conflicts that emerge from this. As much as this makes me think back to almost as much of a chance of rebuilding as the may war, it also is exciting time for opportunity once those mourn their losses. I query though do we expect much changes in godfather council policies, and if so what is on the agenda for change? |

My usefulness during what has transpired is not for anyone to praise or dismiss other than those actually involved themselves. I personally feel I was a lot of use but heh, i'm biased of course. I'll let others decide that. I find it amusing though that people are finding what was said was hot air or bull shit or what ever. People can try read between the lines, believe what they want themselves or what ever. I've said this a few times now, I couldn't really care less, there is no point in me going over and over what was said earlier. It's there for everyone to see. The thing is though, another thing people seem to have forgotten is that the right hand is an extention of the crewleader or Godfather themselves. I came out here and explained The Loops involvement in what transpired for a couple of reasons, it was my prerogative and it was my right. A war this size takes a lot of work, it takes a heck of a lot out of people. So if I can again become useful and take a responsibility so my crewleader and Godfather doesn't have to. You can be damned sure I am going to help out. Even if I hadn't slept for a good 36 hours plus before hand. As for the self proclaimed shit, you can be damned sure as well that I am going to talk about my tenure here. It's something I am damned well proud of, I will never regret that and I will never stop believing that old times are the best times. Not sure what you're trying to imply or prove there fella. I have never once however proclaimed that I am great at public speaking, that again is for other people to decide.
It's a shame you suicided, would have loved to have seen your thoughts. Rest In Peace. |

On behalf of the narcissists, assholes and warmongers from Philadelphia (think that covers everyone) I'd like to confirm that we're incredibly pissed with Mr. HubertCapone for his words here today. He was far too self deprecating and understating in his own involvement of what transpired. He didn't once comment on his hourly streaks around the war room, not once did he mention the number of "That's a really nice cup of tea there fella, keep up the good work" he received during the day and not a single thought was given in his speech to how proud we all were that he managed to go the whole war without getting shot by a Durden.... a task many of his forefathers failed to accomplish.
sorrynotsorry actually raised a few points that would be worthy of discussion, along with some utter nonsense and other questions that are of nobodies business other than those directly involved. However, it's really hard to have a discussion with a corpse so sadly the few salient points end up going to waste.
Seriously. If anyone has an issue with what happened, make an intelligent and coherent point. Hubert, Curtis, Whatsername, Ajani, Kelly_Kapowski... and all the others involved are more than capable of having an intelligent debate. In fact, I'd be pretty confident they'd win any debate. If it's just idiots throwing insults? Please, don't bother. You disrespect those that died with honour and valour when you do shit like that. Have some respect for your fallen forefathers, their families and all that went before instead. They really do deserve better. |

There becomes a point when you look up for so long and decide it's time to stop looking and start shooting. This became one of those points. Individuals say over and over again that relationships are built over the course of many generations. It is those relationships that made this possible today. Godfather Whatsername & Godfather Ajani built incredible empires out of nothing but past relationships, on past bloodlines. The love their people show for them is what made all of this possible. We could not have done this alone, but together, all things are indeed possible. Well done. <3 Both of you are truly my hero's. Thank you Philly. With that the little alien stepped down from his box and began snatching more purses. He did it for mere enjoyment these days, the excitement in the old ladies face made him smile every time. |

Well, I applaud the take down. It's been a long while since we've all seen and heard the groveling, crying and general bitching about how "30303 have taken over.." blah blah blah. Now that a group has taken to disarming the group and cutting them down entirely with their supporters and sympathizers, we hear a different bitching. It'll never come to an end, those who mourn their relatives will always raise and shake a fist at those who pulled the trigger. I lost my mother in New York. It's a part of the job, I suppose and for that I'm not upset. Unfortunately she was young, but as they say, it's the fast life and well.. One shouldn't expect to live for all too long in this thing of ours, for all we know, deaths meets us all. Congratulations on the success and rest in peace to those who fell. |

Honestly, people whinging that they don't like the explanation they got for why there was a war is a bit pathetic.
You're not owed an explanation. If it were me, the only explanation you'd ever get would be "Because we fucking could." The people in charge know why they were taken out. They always know. There's never a mystery about that. So to have people on the streets saying "But but but you didn't handhold me enough to know why this happened!" or "but but but you're a meanie poohead!" after literally every single takedown in this thing of ours is, quite simply, sad.
You aren't owed shit. Stop acting like you are. |
