As Kelly stepped outside the North Side HQ the wind caught her dress and, albeit briefly, you catch a glimpse of her exquisite undergarments.  The Chicago air was cold and piercing, a slight frost layering the ground glistening in the sunlight.  Kelly flicked the remnants of her smoke to the ground and looked over the small crowd gathered on the street in front of her.  She smiled to herself, the last few days, albeit somewhat disheartening after losing so many good comrades and friends, had been a resounding success.  Aliens had made a seamless transition into his new role as her under boss and now was the time for another Captain to step forward and make their mark.  She cleared her throat and began to address the listening mobsters.

Friends, I give to you, Katniss.

Kelly proffered towards the youngster flanking her.

Your grandmother protected me and nurtured me for years yet just as she bestowed the privilege of my own racket upon me she was cruelly taken from us, before her time.  Without her, I would not find myself in the position I am in today.  Your mother, another fantastic servant to The Loop who sadly, was consumed with grief from the passing of her mother which eventually led to her feeling she could continue no longer.  The knowledge and know how both of your fine ancestors have passed down leaves me under no illusions that you are ready for the task ahead.

Kelly fumbled around in her pockets for a second and pulled out a set of keys, along with the deeds to the property she had procured earlier in the day.

These keys are for you, Katniss.  It took me a lot of haggling and wrangling with the current owners to secure this for you, make sure the make the most of the opportunity I present you with here!

With a deft flick of her wrist, Kelly tossed the keys in Katniss' direction and chuckled to herself as they hit the gargantuan mass of forehead that is Barry and dropped to the floor at Katniss' feet.

Katniss, while our lines have never really been closely entwined into each others work, I think its become apparent that our lines both fully respect each others, its with great pleasure that I offer my congrats and offer my assistance on your, on our journey. I'm absolutely posative you will do great things here.

Katniss looked over at Godmother Kelly and gave a small nod. She had in her blood known everything the women spoke of and she looked at Godmother Kelly with nothing but respect. She looked at the keys in her hand and then back up at Kelly.

"Godmother Kelly.. I can't fathom to thank you enough for this. I will try to do both you and Aliens so proud by helping to build this district and work alongside of all of Chicago. "

She fumbles the keys around in her fingers a bit and then looks back up at Aliens and Godmother Kelly. "I will do you all proud and those here I promise. "

She whistles a soft tune and then walks down the street to begin her work.

I may not know you very well but I regard Godmother Kelly in high esteem and believe that she would have given this promotion

Sounds a lot like Cristiano Ronaldo a little while back his GrandFather was the Godfather in LA. but what the Hell had Cristiano done to deserve to get a Family of his own besides be the Grandson of a GodFather? It's fine tho he had a dispute with yourself Kelly and now they are gone.  

So moving on, seems kind of like a spit in the face of all those who actually had to and have to work to get to where in a few short days Katniss as found herself not to mention a spit in the face of tradition which our world so fondly remembers references and say they believe in and want back, but let it slip farther and farther away.

That Katniss person is pretty sweet though. 

While she's young and all that, the thing you have to realize is that sometimes leadership choices aren't about accumulated wealth, and the amount of bullets they've used. It comes down to trust. Katniss's bloodline is solid in that sense. This is a somewhat common practice. If you really do trust someone, they can get priority in the auth line. Is it fair? Well, a godfather should only auth who they trust 100%... Others do get chances though. Sometimes that's good. Sometimes it's bad. Sometimes people with a good track record fuck up too. So meh. She's plenty trust worthy though, not sure where you got the idea that she wasn't. Comparing her to Cristiano is kinda not cool, since you've mentioned lineage. The major difference there is that GMD died (far too soon) with an honorable name. The father of Cristiano died as a "rogue" of sorts, and that's why many felt that auth was improper.

Since you were a Crew Leader under GodFather Genocide you must know that not everyone is privilaged to run his own organisation,this account might be still young,but it doesnt mean her bloodline experience is not enough to manage a family.Because the fact that someone is a crew leader doesn't mean that he or she has a powerful gun or a big wealth,no it means this particular person is trustworthy and capable of doing it.

First off, she is a Made Man, soon to be Capo.  You are?  Oh, yes, that's right, a Goomba.  How dare you come in here, in the middle of celebrations and throw insinuations around about someone who is, let's face it, one of your peers.  Let alone a peer, she is a leader.  I choose my friends carefully, I choose my auths carefully, I do not appreciate their integrity being questioned by anyone, let alone a meagre associate.

Cristiano Ronaldo, and his bloodline have no bearing on this decision.  Did Katniss' Grandmother gun down a Godfather in cold blood? No.  Did her mother? No.  Has Katniss' bloodline ever been anything but honest and forthright with me?  No.  So, I guess you are right in one respect, lineage is important.  Is it the most important thing I consider when taking into account someones suitability for running a crew? No, but in this scenario it played a major part in my thought process.  With North Side being a burgeoning new district after the removal of Haven I need people around me that I can trust and who I can count on to be there when I need them to offer their point of view on any given situation that may arise.  Seems like my authing process is leaning towards simple common sense no?

I don't understand how I am spitting in the face of tradition, I don't see how you have arrived at this absolute diamond of an assumption.  I have taken many of North Side's unsponsoreds in, I hold no malice against them, Haven needed removing, we removed her.  Carlos died during the war, which he helped us with; I therefore have no reason to not trust his crew members, they were on our side after all. I can only summise that the only person here spitting in anyones face is you, wouldn't you agree?

I think you are confusing thread with "speech", I will however let you off on this slight oversight.  Let me explain to you how idiotic your reasoning processes are here though.  You choose not to be disrespectful in your response to my auth's speech yet you feel it is a better idea to do it in a Godfather speech?  This reasoning alone should demonstrate why your ancestors were taken out.  Not only that, it should demonstrate to you why hard working (I assume you are suggesting that you would be a far better candidate for auth) mobsters are not always considered before those that you trust implicitally.  My advice, go have a long hard think about what you are doing wrong and if you cant engage your mouth without using your brain, just keep quiet.
