Priest, you must be very privvy to the structure of North Side then since you know Katniss' personal accomplishments? Yeah, I didn't think so.

Katniss wouldn't have been put up as a leader if not for her contributions to her family, her district and her city. Who is anyone to say that she didn't earn her position as a captain under Godfather Kelly? If Kelly wants to put in a captain, albeit young, it is surely there call to do so, right?

I'm not one to usually come out to these little speeches as I'm not much of a speaker myself. It just annoyed me that you would base Katniss' bloodline on why she got her position.

Anywho, congratulations miss Katniss. I know we've personally never spoken, but I have a pretty good feeling you know your way around and will do just fine as a leader.

I wont address anyone's passive aggressive tone or their apparent need need to hear themselves speak but instead offer the congratulations that is due here.

Many dream, some try, but only a few achieve. You are an achiever and you make us all proud, keep up the good work. Congratulations on your promotion.

Thank you to everyone that has come out here. To those that have congratulated me I thank you very much. To those that have different feelings I do understand and still thank you.

This thing of ours can be different for every individual here, and many of us do things our own way. After all we are in an essence gangsters. Actions of individuals will provocate different reactions from different people. None of use are the same. We are fingerprints that walk this thing of ours and be it good or not good feelings we are entitled to speak them.

I am not going to sit here and tell you why I am here in this position, and I won't advocate spilling how things operate in North Side. We are North Side. We are Chicago and a unified one. I will however say that while I am not older and I am not what everyone would feel to be IDEAL leader, I am a leader. I'm proud to stand here as one of the leaders in Chicago and I'm proud of all those that I work with in Chicago and those that are in The Hanging Tree. 

As its's said strange things did happen here... This family is one in an unique situation that has been allowed to all grow together, and with that we will stand together. Be it young.. be it where some don't agree it should have come to fruition it has.. and with that a unification.

In a time of such turmoil, upheaval, loss and sorrow it's far from the way any of us would ever wish to see the position cast upon you. It's not ideal, but it's the situation we find ourselves in and we've no choice but to hurdle the obstacles in front of us. Where our cities are ravaged by war and families are struggling to even fill some positions, I can't help but be thankful that we have someone of your ability and work ethic to help with the rebuilding ahead. Knowing the character you possess however, I have every confidence you'll rise to all the challenges before you and even exceed the lofty exceptions Godfather Kelly and so many more of us have in you.

As for the many ignorant and uninformed comments on bloodline preferences, please don't open your mouth if you're not in a position to have any knowledge on the topic. Was Katniss' relative a person of high rank and held in high esteem by many? Yes. She was. Correctly so. Is this the reason Katniss is standing here in front of us today having just been authed? Not on your life. It's damn hard work, intelligence and the ability to lead that has her where she is. I very much doubt if any of the people here casting stones would match the good lady in a single of these qualities, never mind when looking at them as a whole. Being given authorisation to lead a family isn't about who has lived the longest, who has stolen the most purses or who has build the biggest gun... it's about who is the best person for the job to lead. Leadership isn't a position, it's an action. With that in mind, I have no doubts that Godfather Kapowski has made an impeccable choice here and that Katniss will do a remarkable job. Congratulations to both.

It is very good to see those who placed in positions due to interaction with the masses. Being selected for such a position is a feat in its self. Congrats and good luck. I have seen you around and you definitely have the aspirations and know-how to be successful. Good luck with your family  you deserve it.
