| Butt Ox I'm sorry but self preservation is human nature, Most people, even though they may have sworn blood oaths are not going to want to continue a suicidal war on behalf of a Crew Leader who is already dead. If they want to then thats very noble but even those in the mafia who stayed in a family after their boss was dead were doing it in the hope of finding a replacement and rebuilding. Here for some reason we do not have that option so there are only two options - certain death, or joining another crew. Something that just wasn't the case in the 1930s mafia. | |

Money-B steps to a Lamp Post and stands on it Singing in the Rain Style I have stayed out of these discussion's today, as I am not priviledged to the goings on etc. Making a comment would be well fully based on assumption and I make an ass out of myself enough. This how ever I feel is a issue of general terms, to kill or not to kill the remaining members of a fallen leader. I will say I can see the point and not see the point all at the same time. No, I am not fence riding just being realistic. I will give you an example of what I mean... I am a Boss in a family at war, I have managed to outlive my beloved Leader. I would assume based on my history with said leader and my longevity and functional threat to those involved I should be killed. Joining another Leader would brand me a coward and I would be starting all over at gangster anyways at least in theory, having to prove myself etc. in this case I should be hunted and killed Now I am a Gangster/Goomba in the same family, new to these shores just getting my bearings and have not formed any "real" loyalty as of yet. I also due to rank and exp am no real threat to anyone involved... in this case I should be allowed refuge into another family, given I am awake and can talk for myself at the time We all know this world is about self preservation and the preservation of family. BUT we also know to some extent that we use that as a cover to gain more targets and more exp to benefit our families strength etc. This is accepted and most times not even questioned. |
