With a cackle uncharacteristic of her normally jovial laugh, she called out after Skylar, unphased by her break in composure. Why put off til tomorrow, what you could do today? But inwardly, she thought to herself, what if the rumors were true? What if Skylar really was cracking and more dangerous than they all had originally thought? As Boris approached her, this time with rope to secure her to the chair, Evey licked her lips and felt the dried blood that rested there. Tomorrow, she thought. |
