Thank God for that Ajani. I thought I was the only one sitting on this here bench and thinking hat has our world come to. A speech given about respect being turned into this is incredibly ironic and hardly something that should be brought to our streets. It is big of you to come out here and apologise for the actions of the members of Chicagos actions. I am sure the cogs are turning in Philadelphia in terms of their involvement. When the streets are reduced to a place where people use them to try and score cheap points over others and too belittle then it will indeed be a sad day. Alls we can hope for is that those who participated in such things are told to take a step back, taken to one side and shown how this world of ours works. In this case perhaps the people involved are a little green behind the ears or had had a few too many but perhaps we, as a community, need to take sometime to teach those around us how to act in the streets when they are obviously unable to integrate properly in to the environment. It is only fair that those that you mention, those that perhaps we have lost from the streets and the leaders can share what they know with those less better off. Then perhaps one day we can create new leaders that are well rounded in terms of this world. Obviously that maybe a way off at the moment after these exchanges. To go back to the original topic. One that is always important in this world. I am glad you brought this forward Guevara and it's nice to see my speech from across the street ties in here. Your bloodline has always been one to come to these streets and is very well respected when they do so. Perhaps unlike some of the others in this world. When your line speaks people generally listen, agree and your words carry some weight. Respect of rank is perhaps something we have lost but I do think it is on the way back. This again ties in with the previous speech I responded to. People are being afforded respect on their family lines which is blurring the line yet further. I think it is allowing a grey area. Yes, you still respect your button men but the sons of previous button men are being granted a little bit more freedom in the things they do. This is both a good and a bad thing as those less well known, those new to our shores, are always at a disadvantage regardless of rank. They are less trusted than an Earner of a prestigious family line. Whether that is right or wrong it's just the way it is, in my opinion, at the moment. I think people need to interpret the way they are spoken to better. If we stop people asking questions then we shall never have the diverse community we currently have. It will be an incredibly boring dictatorship. For me to disagree with a Godfather is not wrong. As long as I am respectful in the way I do it. I justify my argument, accept their point of view and offer a different one without forcing it upon them. Surely thats the way this world should work? |

The little alien wiped his hands clean of blood and threw the towel at a bodyguard to dispose of. Stepping up to his friend Guevara he extended his hand and embraced Guevara's in his own. I am truly sorry for what has transpired here. You raise some very valid points in your speech, and while yes it is another's phrase, 'Respect is not given, it's earned'. When need be, we can command respect at the end of a gun can we not? The little alien smiled at Guevara and muttled something about meeting Curtis for a good drunkfest at his place later that evening. |

As Heroin listins to each mobster speak he points out a certain segment.
As I was witness to that passing by Detroit's fine streets I did notice this myself of Cloud's and Ragnarok debate. Well done and respectful delivered as well to both men.
With that being said from Godfather Ajani hit that dead on and that example should be seen more of. If you have nothing to say that is respectful then maybe you should turn away and leave it.
The community is cleaning of the streets one day of the time, one day of the time.
As Heroin smiles and walks away smoking on a house blend of fine cigars from Chicago. |

Out and about in the chilly winter air, she steps inside the nearest warm place, stops at the door as her eyes adjust to the dim lights inside. Glancing around the room cautiously, she makes her way to a far table away from everyone. Taking a seat just as a discussion was beginning, Rose listens intently as the gentleman speaks in earnest about respect. Her mind wanders off a bit to what respect meant in her eyes. She is brought back to the present time as the discussion gets heated. Shaking her head at the scene unfolding before her. She has been on these shores long enough to hear whispers of who some people are, and their position, and to see these men acting this way is in her opinion not a good example for herself for one. She aims to be one of the Family someday, a Made Man, an honor in her eyes, and to witness such a sight as this is just counterproductive considering the topic of discussion. Rose gracefully got up from her seat, walking with purpose to join this discussion, cleared her throat to speak when there was a quiet moment amongst this gathering. "Good day gentleman. I could not help but hear the topic of discussion here today, and would like to add my thoughts as well." Knowing she was not in a 'position' with as much clout as these gentlemen, it seemed the original spoken message invited those with Made Men positions and higher to newly founded gangsters on these shores to share their opinion, so she ventured on. "Respect is showing your respective Godfather, Crew Leader, and Family the consideration of not embarrassing any of them by your actions or words. I have too much respect for Godfather Tetley and Don Archy to come out in the Streets and make a scene of any kind. I do understand there are debates and discussions in this thing of ours, but maintaining civility and honor in our words and actions goes a long way. It sets an example for the younger Mafioso who just land on our shores, and need guidance. Hell, it sets an example for me too. I wish to be more vocal amongst my fellow Mafioso, but if this is the kind of example I will have to go by, then I shall remain silent. I would enjoy speaking with others in this thing of ours, even debate, because I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and not everyone has to agree. But when there is unnecessary bickering back and forth amongst grown men, men with honored positions who should be setting examples for any position and Wise Guys down to Gangsters, it makes joining in a discussion harder for some of us because I for one do not wish to be a part of it. I have nothing but respect for Don Archy since the moment I stepped into his headquarters and began working for him. It would say very little of my own values if I was to just throw his generosity, protection and leadership out the window by going out in public making a spectacle of myself. I represent him and my family. We are part of a family for a reason. It means something, or it should. Respecting a Made Man or higher, up to a Godfather, well as I see it Made Man and higher have put in the hard work and earned their title, but if someone came up to my boss, or a member of my family and was disrespectful, it would be very difficult for me to show that person respect at all or think highly of them no matter the status of their position. Would I publicly disrespect them?....no I would not. Would I do business with them or recommend their business to others?...nah. I consider myself to be generous in understanding and respecting people, but when you lose my respect you won't be able to earn it back no matter what position you hold or what connections you have." She does not have any expectations of her words being heard by anyone, but she wanted to openly express her thoughts and opinions on this subject. |
