I support this; we need to actually use the tax system, regardless of how much information gets to the crewleader. Presently it's a guessing game at best and the whole tax feature provides incentives for not using it. So it'd be great to get the ball rolling on something.

I am not a fan of the manual updates for earnings. As it has been pointed out it could very easily be changed to 0. Or people will just forget to mention that someone tributed at all.

As someone who actually focuses on their earnings, I hate the idea that someone could screw that up for me. I can be at times rather competitive with my earnings.

But that again is part of the system Cin, as in real life, you are dependant on others. If someone forgets to mention it, what do you think will happen when your CL comes to you and asks why you didn't tribute, and you can produce the Personal saying that you have? Also, you are suggesting that it could very easily be changed. The only person able to change it would be the LHM, the 2nd most important and trusted member of the CLs crew, now that doesn't make it impossible, but you'd have to be a special kind of cunt to fuck over your own CL, the person who put that trust in you in the first place.

However, i appreciate you voicing your opinion, its only by these discussions that we get to iron out the kinks and get something workable for everyone.

I say go for it. My only thought is to make it so that the LHM can only add earnings. Subtracting them doesn't make any sense for me

Chris_Vaughn, what if I don't keep that many personals so that they don't get so cluttered?

We have seen RH's HQ wack their own families, so I can very well see LH's potentially doing the same but with taxes. Will they? I don't know but I am not particularly willing to find out.

Even if you don't they go into Trash, and can be restored for a few weeks after. As suggested above, it can be coded so that the LHM can't delete from earnings, only add. As for loosing cash, your RHM can already clean you out and fuck off with the money, so its hardly a huge leap of faith to extend it to your LHM. Some CLs, my own included, swap frequently back and forth between their hands based on availability and what they need done.

The only reason I am happy to allow the LHM to deduct from earnings as well as add, is in case the LHM fucks up, and adds 11 million instead of 1 million. However, as Philli_stein said, we could make it that they can't deduct, and if the LHM fucks up, you just make him pay the difference as a penalty.

I would be down for any change to the current tax system which I think sucks. I would love for the old system to come back but I know that probably wouldn't be an option so a change like this one would be very much appreciated. Out of all the crews in the game only one doesn't have all their taxes set to insanely low which means basically all the crews have their taxes set to less than 20%. I wouldn't be surprised if most of those crews have their tax at 0% like mine. Either way it seems there is a favoritism to donations over taxes. Probably because the current tax system is the same as donations except you get a figure to indicate how much you should send. I would love to see how much the current tax system actually gets used since I know the admins don't like features that are not used. So maybe this could encourage the change I think it needs.

Not sure what your concerns are Titan. This suggestion doesn't give your prowess info to the CL, RHM or LHM. Likewise, it allows a CL to take your logged in time into account when looking at your income. CLs already have a broad range of members, some are Hitters, some are earners, some are pro wackers, some collect info. This suggestion doesn't take anything away form any off that.

I still do not like this idea. I do not like that someone can mess with things and screw it up purposely for someone else.
