Horrible.

Premier said into the telephone, pausing he looked over at RedHood, who was gawking at the large false rock on her finger.

The city is in shambles, we could tell just driving into it - all the way to the hotel.

Another pause, this time to let the one on the other end to speak.

Yes, finally made it to the hotel.

The Don once again looked over at RedHood, who was still paying no attention to anything else except that thing on her finger and all he could think of was what had happened in the last 18 hours.

Come on Red! We need to leave, our plane leaves in a half hour.

He watched RedHood put her bag at the top of the stairs and yell back down at him.

"Just hold your horses, I need five more minutes."

She said, looking at him, giving him a huff and kicking her luggage bag down the stairs.

"You can take that to the car while you wait."

With that she disappeard back into the bedroom and Premier brought the bag to the car. It was heavy, this didn't surprise him, women and their shoes. They were going to Los Angeles she didn't really need all those shoes, plus she'd be naked most of the time. He didn't want to tell her that, he didn't want the shoe that would come flying at his head for that.

After placing the last piece of luggage into the trunk and shutting it he realized Red was sitting in the passenger seat, he didn't even hear her get in. She was sneaky like that, good thing she was with him and not against. She'd be able to kill him in his sleep. Premier opened the car door and took a seat behind the wheel, this must have startled Red as she almost jumped right out of the car.

Sorry babe, didn't mean to scare you.

He said cooly to her.

You're so lucky we're on the same side, if we weren't it'd be easy for me to sneak into your room at night and drop you into the fishes.

He said with a wink. What charmer he was, what a charmer.

"Sorry...I was just looking over at the headquarters."

Worry was in her tone.

Don't worry, the Judge will take care of them, keep them in line.

Premier referenced to his family.

Plus we deserve this vacation, specially after that war we had.

The war. It was a touchy subject. They had lost a lot of good men and women out there. One of them was Red's mother, she was a good women, but Red was the true gem to the Don. They had really kicked it off. Which was convenient as he really needed a vacation and he never liked to go alone. Just like he planned she had accepted to come with him. There was also a twinkle in her eye that made him know that it was him she was coming for and not the sunny beaches of California, those were just an added bonus.

They sped to the airport and caught their flight to Vegas. A pit stop to drop in on Aurora's city. He'd been wanting to give her a personal congratulations, but had been very busy. There had also been rumors that the longest Godmother was visiting the desert region. Premier was very pleased with this choice as he saw Red's face light up as they landed in the city of sin. There was a feeling in the air, they were going to have a very exciting time tonight. Walking through the airport and having a few drinks at a bar down the road was the last non-fuzzy memory either of them had. Premier and Red had woken up in a hotel that next morning in a suite high above all the glitz and glamor of the city in the desert.

Premier was naked, Red the same, accept a big bright flashy ring on her left hand.

"Why are these lights so bright?"

She asked him confused.

"Did we get hitched last night?"

The Don couldn't answer either of her questions. The sun was damn bright! He quickly put on his cloth, yes he would have liked to stay with her in that bed all day, but he was anxious to get to Los Angeles. He encouraged her to the same, telling her that she'd be able to lay out in the sun for a whole week on a nice sandy beach.

After checking out of the hotel, the vale pulled up with a car neither had ever seen before. It was flashy to say the least and expensive. Premier argued that a limo would do the trick, but the man said they were fresh out and basically forced the keys down the Don's throat. Red gave him that look and before either of them new it they were on the highway, speeding through the desert wind in their hair.

Premier would check on Red ever so often. She was either admiring the ring or smiling at him. This vacation was turning into a honeymoon, but did they actually get married? Premier remembered bits and pieces from the night before, but he couldn't tell what was real and what was just a dream. A lion..he hoped that was a dream. Stealing a police car, well he wouldn't put it past either of them. Crashing a few parties, yes that probably happened. Riding elephants down the main drag...he didn't even have a thought to that one. The Don told himself he'd deal with all this later and that the day couldn't get any weirder, but he spoke to soon.

Everything changed once they hit the outer limits of Los Angeles. It was almost if they had hit a wall of trash. Hit the slums. Red looked at Premier and gasped. He had known things were bad while Vicodin had ran the city (if you could even call it that), but he didn't know things were this bad.

"Maybe things will get better as we get farther into the city."

Red said with hope, but Premier could see in her eyes that she didn't even believe her own words. Things didn't get better, it only got worse. Store windows were broken into, every other fire hydrant was opened - water spraying every where and at least three times so far at an intersection some random bum had ran up to their car to try to jack it.

It was almost amazing that they had both made it to the hotel. As they pulled up to the hotel Premier with drew his gun, pulled the bags out of the trunk and guarded the both of them while they made it into the hotel. Once in their room and 18 hours later Premier picked up the phone and dialed home.

I need to speak with Thomas. It's urgent.

He waited a few moments.

Horrible. The city is in shambles, we could tell just driving into it - all the way to the hotel. Yes, we made it to the hotel, finally.

Premier sighed, the things that he thought were dreams of last night probably actually happened.

Thomas this city needs real leadership. Someone to kick it's ass back into gear. I see a lot of wasted potential here. It's a good thing we got here when we did, it needs a lot of work.

At this point Red had looked up at Premier while he was on the phone, a smile slowly creeping on her face. He knew she always loved it when he took charge. Premier made a few nods and agreements before hanging up the phone, he then turned to RedHood.

Babe, I'm sorry i forgot to mention, but our vacation is going to be lasting a very long time. Godfather Rourke would like us to stay here and pick this place up.

Premier's pearly whites beamed with a smile and Red jumped into his arms. They were very excited at this news.

Frank stepped out onto the streets to read a statement he previously prepared in honor of his boss, his godfather, the person who has become a real godfather figure to him since the untimely death of his father in a war that took place a long time ago on these very shores.

Dear Premier, even though this is brief it whole heartedly expresses my gratitude to you and what you have done for me. You took me from a lowly thug the son of a Made Man in the city of Las Vegas to a mobster of Boss' status, words can not express how I feel. But the position you now hold shows what you are worthy of and what you deserve. Your are a man of many talents and great loyalty only time will tell us where Los Angeles goes next how much improvement we can make but I am in no doubt it will be up there with the top cities.

Frank walks to send this telegram off after reading to the streets the statement that was prepared in the honor of Godfather Premier.

I know we've had our differences in the past sir, and I know you may still not necessarily respect or even like me, but I must say it is truly, truly an honor to be around for you getting GodFather. There's not many people in this thing of ours who aren't already GodFather/Mother who deserve it, I can honestly say you're one of the few who in my humble opinion deserve it completely.

Telkin tips his hat and shakes Prem's hand

Once again sir, congratulations. I hope your reign lasts long, and that you rule over Los Angeles like the beastly God that you are.
