To me becomming a made man is something that should not be taking lightly, it's a great honor to become a made man. The family trusts you, they know you can handle certain situations better then others, they give you more responsible jobs cause you know how to handle it. Your a made man you can learn young kids who look up to you the way of this thing of ours. It's a rank that should be treated with respect and it's not a rank that should be given to everybody.

well i would like to thank all of you who have shared with us what it means toy you to become a made man.

Becoming Made Man means becoming respected as one of the back bones of the family, when a Made Man says something, you listen. For every move is seriously watched by his leaders for he is mirroiring his family. Becoming Made Man does'nt mean someone should change though, simply means keep doing what you are doing for you are doing it well. Becoming Made Man is a high honor, we must appreciate.

Even as a Wise Guy, I know what it means to become a Made Man. Respect and trust from the crewleaders, good income, good prestige to the family, a good abider of the rules, someone who will, without a second thought, do anything and everything to help the family in any way that they can.

It means to me that your trusted

being a made man means to me that you have earned the respect of your fellow gangsters through being loyal respectful and above all listening to all advice wether good or bad but making the correct choices

I just got made. Today. It's been a long time coming. Something I've dreamed about since the day I first stepped foot onto these shores. Since the first time I'd read back into my family diaries and heard about the made men in my blood line's history. How does it feel?

It feels like any other day, for start. Only, something's different. There's a new aura around the world, a glow, something special that's causing me to smile. You can't see the smile? That's because a made man doesn't go walking around the streets grinning and giggling like a catholic schoolgirl. That's things that are best left below, back as an earner, or a wise guy.

No, once you get Made, you've got to step up to the plate. You have to be able to look the other Made Men and Women in the face and know...just...KNOW...that you are worthy of that title. Because if you're not...if for one second you show just a hint of weakness in your eye...they'll kill you. They will chew you up and spit you out and there ain't a god damn thing you or I can say or do about it.

So how's it feel to be made?

Terrifying...exhilarating...so many adjectives could describe it, but, for me, I suppose I'd just settle on: home.

It feels like home.

It means to me, that you are.... that you're... he stumbles over his words for a minute, pauses and thinks again.

He takes a breath and sighs, It means that no matter how tough things get, you know you are now part of a family that will back you, as you back them. It means giving every cent you can to the family, and if necessary giving your life for it. It means that you're not alone when you walk on the streets, you carry not just your name, and your blood name, you carry the name of your family, of your superiors, and you need to watch what you say, lest you give them any reason think of you negatively. It's a lot of responsibility, but it's a hell of a rush.

That's an interesting perspective, sCuubz, and obviously respect is expected. But there's more to it then that. Being Made isn't just a title that gives you respect. It's also a tag that declares that you are a family member. You are part of the family.

It's not just something that you get and throw away to get to the next rank. It's something to be savored.

To me, its a great honour.

To me being Made is the most important part of any mafioso's life. And yes to give your life upon no hesitation without asked. I feel the prior rankings should Respect our MadeMen in this world as they have given their all. They took the time to care about this thing of ours and appreciate for what they have been given from their Godmothers and Fathers. The Button ! very important, very treasured and  very honorable.

I am not there yet...but to me it means everything right now - the acceptance and reward from my family and the trust to handle myself as one of them!
