Even though I'm new here and I don't fully understand the value of ranks. I would like to think that achieving the rank Made Man means your trial in the family has ended. Like Francis said it is an new era of your career.

    To others it shows that you are respecting and hard working. Not only it shows the amount of respect you've gained from others it also shows that other people can and probably will be able to trust you. Not every goof deserves the rank such as this.

I lke the way that I've heard it pu tbefore:  that you are basically untouchable.  You have entereed a new plateau on which no one but another made man can stand with you.  Gangsters, and maybe even earners can be harmed without your family going to war, but a made man's death will always stimulate a vendetta.

Thats logical but becoming a mademan is way more than that...a mademan can sum up to many things,one main thing is your in the family officialy and you have the respect of the uppers and now your accepted to play an important role in their family...your also more important then you was when you was a earner and goomba your actually reprenting the inner circle of the family so you have to play the game by the rules so you wont make your uppers look like they dont know what their doing..also when your made thats a honor and not just an ordinary rank its something you live by basically a new era for you its time to get to the real business and not having to prove your self as much but then again your trust will still come in question when you try to reach higher ranks

the rank of made man means that you have accomplished a big milestone in your families rank and shouldbeheld with the upmost respect. it means that your family finally trusts you with their lives and they know you will do anything for your family.

For me its a distant goal in the horizon something i hope to achive. It means that finally there is complete trust in you from all the family. Working together is one thing. You can be valued for your work but getting made is the ultimate acceptance.

To become a made means your family has trust in you.  It means you have represented yourself and your family in respectful and professional manner.  It means you would and will do anything asked of you without question.  It means if necessary you would take a rap or a bullet if it means the family will continue to florish.  Most of all it means you are part of a bigger thing, it means you have made it.

Well we know it means respect and trust but what does it mean to you, to me it says one thing loud and clear acceptance.

Look into yourself. Are you a Made Man? ARE YOU A MADE MAN? If you are then you may understand what a Made Man is, well you should do if your family is anything. It's about trust, it's about respect, it's about honour, laying down your life to the family and with them you trust.

ARE YOU NOT MADE MAN?! HAVE YOU NOT BEEN PAYING ATTENTION! Show your family you can be everything to them, time and again, every single day and one day. YOU MAY BE MADE MAN!
