I must agree with sir Falcon here.

I was always told valiantly tales of Made Men fighting to the death for their families and then I come and check the last nation wide war.. Dozens of Mades and above, including several hands and even Dons, the highest honor one may receive, had jumped ship and ducked out hoping to live.

It is laughable.

  You could of woke up and still went out fighting. Instead of jumping ship, I'm just saying. You live and die with the family you joined till the end. Fight for your city.

Excuse me, i'm still a little wet behind the ears. What is an 'RPG'? Even if you were asleep when it began, you were most certainly still alive, and therefor, still capable of fighting for your family.

So if you're asleep, you're excused from conflict? I must remember this next time.

What exactly is a PM? So you woke up, saw that your family died and then decided to take an invite elsewhere so you wouldn't die?

I suppose it is a good tactic to live.. But I wouldn't come to the streets as a former Capo of Manhattan and act like you somehow survived an onslaught of attackers, as you said, you were asleep.

While some here do not know me and some do, my blood pours across these shores.  New York being a big one, personally even below Made if I wake up from my loft and my family has just been taken out.  Regardless of my rank I am taking a shot, my family is just that MY FAMILY.  I have told this to my boss that I would die regardless, one time many moons ago my grandfather was spared.  And that was because he was a greenhorn, the man never even shot a gun. So while some may think he should have lived like the quote "He who flees today lives to fight another day".  I say hell to that, should have found the juiciest target and atleast made an effort.

     I agree with Mr. GreyJoy. It doesn't matter if you were asleep when the fighting began or got permission not to fight. If your family is killed and you see your friends and your leader dead, you should take up arms against those who perpetrated this despicable act against the people who gave you food and rest with their one rule: For you to be loyal to the end. I understand that those who live today may fight tomorrow but (excuse my language)  Fuck that. 

     Fight, and keep on fighting until either you are six feet under or they are. It doesn't matter if you go to the shooting range everyday, killing countless scores of people or if you're just a money maker, shoot. Make a name for yourself and for your bloodline, don't be selfish and a quitter because how you act in this life carries over to the next.

"hahaha yeah that's cute, you are the only one left everyone else is dead, and you don't even know if you are fighting for a dishonorable cause but you should throw your life away, I find that to be quite foolish, there is a time when somebody should realize fighting does more harm than good, I am more of a level headed man than most, foolhardy bravery leads to graves, if you wake up and see everyone dead and you're alone, your gun can't even scratch a meager wiseguy why should you try to be a foolish hero and become a statistic? foolishness I say, this foolish idea that surrendering when you have lost makes you a coward is what leads to deaths, my family has survived wars, we have seen the gruesomeness of these wars, they are not fun, everyone has a part to play, but once your part is done, you must fight to survive, if the boss is dead you are no longer under his protection or control, you must now move on. only fools stay and die when they should run."

That would be roleplaying games, right? The sexy stuff you do with your girlfriend/boyfriend/etc in the bedroom. Or out of the bedroom, if that's your thing. 

Depending on your background and bloodline its better off to die anyways, whether you're made or not.  You're going to go into another family  were trust will be very limited and hell you might not ever make it to made at that point simply because of who you were associated with.  Now if you're truthfully a greenhorn fresh to these shores then HELL! Why not survive?!?!  But given me and if I was associated with Manhattan and knowing my blood I would have been shown no quarter.  Simply due to the nature of my ancestors before me, while yes it can be blamed that is my own doing.  I say to hell with that, there is no damn reason a made man and up in Manhattan should have survived.  There were others quietly tucked away in their beds when other cities snuck into their homes and snuffed them out, and this should have been no different.  Those here supporting that he should have survived are people I would never trust in my own family.

Tony Capazzo listens in on the topic at hand. It's a interesting one and he decides to give some opinions on it. Once the last speaker is finished he takes a step forward and greets the crowd.

"Hello everyone, I really don't have much to say on the subject since alot of what I was thinking has already been said but nonetheless I will still add my two cents...

Being a made man in a family is a honor. We all know it's blood in and blood out. It's part of the agreement that's made when one becomes a true family member. It's because of the above that, in my opinion, regardless of the circumstance you should go down fighting with and/or for your family. Regardless of whose left to fight alongside you or the state of the war that brought all of it on. There will always be a last one standing so finding you're the last one left is no reason to just leave and abandon the family that's given you everything.

I know it can be said 'live to fight another day' but the thing with that is we all live to fight for and defend our families, our districts and our cities. If we can't do that then really whats our purpose?"

Tony pauses a moment then continues on. 

"I also don't believe that there is ever a time where a made man should ever say 'well there is no point' the point is to defend your family, your headquarters your home. As crazy as it seems sometimes its better to die a honorable death then survive in vain. Just because everyone in your family is dead does not mean there is no more family...As long as you are alive well then so is the family. You are the representative of that family.

The topic could be debated on for countless hours and tons of points could be made on both sides. At the end of the day it boils down to preference and how you truly look at the made man (or above) positions and how you hold it as well.

I am in no way shape or form trying to get on Mafiatrivia's case, just making a general statement that would go for anyone. He did what he thought was right or the best option for him. I just look at things differently, sometimes you have to do what's right not for you but for your family. Sometimes you have to be selfless or even unselfish when it comes to family. Afterall, shouldn't it be family over everything else?"

Tony then tips his fedora at the group of speakers and listeners. He takes a step back as he reaches into his jacket pocket and lights a cigar. Tony awaits to hear the next speaker and their thoughts while he puffs away.

"It is true that we fight for our families cities and districts, my issue here is he is the last one left, the war is over you have lost, the only person left, people are trying to rebuild their lives why should you go out and become a fighting on when the war is over, if this was during the war and you fought and died, I have no issue, but the war is over why should you commit suicide just so you can be seen as a great man in our eyes, I see you as a fool, this is my opinion, let us not attack this man who came back when the war was over just because he didn't grab a gun and start shooting at anyone, in fact as we blame him, how bout we ask who does he shoot? his boss is dead, nobody knew what hell was going on but we sit here and lam bast the man for running for his life, this was not a war which was straightforward, there were so many sides at play no one knew who to trust except your own boss and in his case his boss is dead. so I suggest we calm down before we judge a mans actions, Thank you
