Dying: Money in Bank & Body Guards Started by: NumberOne on Jul 13, '15 22:23

When someone dies, he kinda lose all the money he got either in bank or in hand, he also looses all his guards.

While in a real life scenario if I die, my son would still get the money in bank. (If iam able to get my credits, I should be able to get my money too since money = credits in a way)

& If I Die, my bodyguards would still work for my son , yes maybe some of them would go rogue and leave their work but at least some of them would stay loyal to my son

Report Post Tip

This is based on the assumption that every character you play is from the same family. In many cases people have no sort of relations to their previous characters which makes the RP value nonexistent.

When you die you start from nothing. Its always how the game is supposed to be played. I don't think this should be altered.

Report Post Tip

I know that is how things are, that is why I was suggesting the change. :)

Report Post Tip

If bodyguards are so easily transferred from character bloodline to the next character....the game will lose money in sales.

A new character is just that....new.  Work from scratch and build up your bank account, earn the money to buy your own bodyguards not your "father or mother's" hard work and earnings.

You start out as a Civilian.  If money and bodyguards are easily transferred to the next character, then why wouldn't ranks and experience go as well.  Why stop at bodyguards and money?

Report Post Tip

Because your son wouldn't have the same experience as u. Money and guards don't have to be transferred fully. may be a percentage of them.

When u start over, u get a little amount of cash 10k or so, and a message saying ur father wanted u to have this.

Iam sure my father would want me to have the whole 10 or 20 million he had :)

Report Post Tip

If you want to have wealth transferred from account to account why not invest just invest for 10 or 20 million into credits.

That is what iam saying, credits get transferred, so even ur son gets ur credits, so what is the difference ?

If money can buy credits, credits can buy money, so why only credits get transferred?

Report Post Tip

After a large war that kills your character credits drop in price quite significantly. Cash is always worth the same amount.

Report Post Tip
Dying is one key way money leaves the game. You can't just keep coming back to millions. It would throw the game economy off
Report Post Tip

Three words.

No. No. No.

Report Post Tip

Your new character starts with money.

The amount really depends on how much you have banked.

I do think new characters should start with like 5-10k.

That would be perfect because starting from scratch is never easy.

Especially if there's no crew jobs available.

Report Post Tip

Then turn off job boards and do petties. Then go message a leader about inquiring about their crew like we used to have to do.

Report Post Tip

I can agree with some sort of ''trust fund'' idea, where you can bank money that will be given to your next of kin, but you yourself can't access the money.

I don't see why bodyguards would remain loyal to you, realistically they're all about that money after all.

Report Post Tip

Sovereign, the money you pay on guards is to train them, so if u keep training someone they logically they should be loyal to u.

If the money u pay is salary to them, then it is normal that they wouldn't be loyal.

I do believe the guards system can be modified in many different ways:

1) Hiring Body Guards is a big cash at the beginning.

2) Diffferent possible trainings for them, each kind of training gives a different yield. (You can even train loyalty at a higher cost.

3) Chance of Hiring a BG Supervisor, At a much Higher Cost & impacts different things.

etc

Report Post Tip

Loyal to you, indeed. If you die, they can't be loyal to you anymore.

When a mafia man dies, where do his men and guards go? they stick with his son. So I think it is normal that they would stay loyal to son. Anyways, it is just a suggestion :)

Report Post Tip

Let's look at it this way.

Okay, you pay for your bodyguards to be loyal. You die. Your son has no money. They weren't paid to be loyal to your son. Why would they follow him?

Report Post Tip

That takes us to the other point, which is son inheriting money. If son can inherit credits, he should be able to inherit money too.

Anyways, seems like this idea is not getting the interest of all, so lets drop it out then :)

Report Post Tip
By the way. You willingly covert your credits to cash. No one makes you do it, so if you die with tons of cash on hand from credit sales, tough.
Report Post Tip
Cant get million when you die Just like real life dead is dead Real talk This why turn cash in credit
