I hear what you say DooDoo, the orders were put in place from above. Due to that he died and I agree completely with it in the sense that he fucked up and was held accountable. My point is that typically you wouldn't see someone dying for such an act, however this isn't your typical place and we have to be realistic. My point is that my vision is one where we have to be realistic and due to this we will see adventures such as the one currently ongoing in Doo Doo Land, we will also have those of us who wish to offer a bit of light-hearted fun such as myself, Credits, Visas and many more (yourself included). |

Rusty despite Salvatore's claim that he martyred himself for the better good of a bunch of Earners, Goombas, and gangsters running amok in Doo Doo Land is laughable. He did it for the 10 million dollar bounty on DooDooBrown's head. I would have respected that reason more had that been the one he gave, but I doubt he would have done what he did if there wasn't a steep reward in it for him.

Ras had been hanging out in the shadows, as per usual, listening to the conversation around him. A lot of respectable folks were making their way out, giving their thoughts on the topic at hand. Stepping out of the shadows and nearly sending a bystander into cardiac arrest, Ras begins to speak. "Personally, I don't think there's any 'set' way any one person should act, per say. That would get quite monotonous which would not settle well with anyone. However, I think there are some standards that everyone, especially those with the rank of Made Man or higher should follow." "If you are discussing something with someone, I believe no matter your rank you should be able to accurately and adequately get your point across without crossing the quote unquote line. Swearing is one thing that a lot of people don't see as acceptable, but we're fucking mobsters for Christ sake. As long as you're not directly using those words derogatorily, [ex: Fuck you you fucking retarded bitch I'll kill your damn family...unacceptable] everyone should accept that we're adults and don't always keep our language as clean as our ledgers." "Every member of this community has a voice, and the right to express it and their opinion. That does not however mean that every person has the ability to do so properly. There are some very clear cut lines in this department, and I'd be more than glad to share my thoughts on them." "Scenario one: Earner Joseph from Philly has a problem with something a Capo from NY said. He goes out into the streets, belittles Joseph and the city he represents, and offers no counterpoint or contributing statements to the conversation at all." "In my eyes, this is unacceptable. Earner Joseph should have to account for his actions. Whether that's in making another Street appearance and using his words more wisely, having to Mail the Capo, paying the Capo, Joseph's CL demoting him... Whatever the case may be. Even in instances of simple things like that, something should happen. Members have to be held accountable for every appearance they make, as they are directly representing their crews and cities with every word they speak. For something as...nonchalant as simple disrespect, I do not think that death is always the answer. Moving on to Scenario Two..." "Scenario Two: Two Made Men are arguing like baboons. No actual thoughts behind the arguing, both are crossing the threshold of respect, and they bring past bloodlines and or direct/indirect threats into the convo. They show no respect for their city, and show blunt disrespect directly towards each others cities." "I think the member should have never let it get to this point, personally. They should have settled it in a respectable manner, dueling. However, it takes some balls to go that route and I do not see most people willing to risk their lives over an argument. It would then be at that point up to their leaders to handle it. Both members in this scenario being Made and making their leader(s) and cities look HORRIBLE, a demotion down to below Made Man would be perfectly called for. It is quite unfortunate that more leaders do not utilize this for situations as such, as to avoid bloodshed, and to put more merit towards the rank of Made Man. However, I am but a lowly Gangster and can not say what is right or wrong for any leader to do." "Scenario Three: Two members, despite their rank, are questioning a leaders actions and or decisions. They are doing so respectfully, without crossing any boundaries. They present themselves in a thoughtful manner, and legitimately don't understand something." "More often than not, a lot of Leaders, Hands, and Made+(s) would scoff off, disregard, or plain and simple ridicule someone for doing this... And that's something which I would be ashamed to see, and would never be caught doing if I ever get the chance to run my own organization. Every person has the right to question the way things work. On the flip side, Leaders do NOT have to publicly answer every question thrown their way. Omerta is a thing, after all. Example; Leader A takes out Leader B. Tons of people are questioning why, in a respectful way. Leader A has no obligation to provide a bunch of no-name people information that doesn't pertain to them. They should at least, in my opinion, take the time of day to respond to the questions, if not at bare minimum to tell folks to fuck off, if they so chose to." "In summary, nobody should feel like they are being forced into muteness. That would ultimately lead to a suffocation of our world as we know it." "On a completely unrelated note, Rusty 'We have people who are content with staying in the shadows' ... There is nothing wrong with the shadows my friend, as long as they are utilized properly." Ras winks and nods his head, slipping off into the same shadows he appeared from. . |

Perhaps Ras, one of your points has been an that has bothered me the most. While I agree there is no obligation a family head should ever have to explain their actions, it appears it is normal to do so. Therefore, this action has become expected by the masses. A leader who doesn't explain the reasoning of a takedown would not be respected by the populace. Should that leader care? Absolutely not. However, if all actions are explained on street corners in a regular fashion, that becomes the status quo, and anyone who doesn't abide by that is breaking the mold. Explaining your actions in the street should be the exception, not the rule. |

The problem when people do not explain their actions is they leave the reasoning entirely upto the masses and their own imaginations. Once you do this, you're going to come up against a number of different interpretations which will always be much more exaggerated than the actual reasoning. This world moves fast, so fast. You may not think the peons in the masses deserve an explanation, but a lot of those peons aren't going to be peons forever, some will end up in just as powerful positions as the mobster not giving an explanation perhaps even above them. Now you have someone above you/stronger than you or at least equal who has had days/weeks to twist your possible reasoning. You could have a perfectly legitimate reason, but this guy has had to form his own opinion... and it's not good. I just think it's very, very short sighted and narrow minded to think the public 'don't need to know shit'. You never know where you're going to end up or who you're going to end up face-to-face with. Is it not better to meet those people head on with nothing to hide? |

Teets finds a cozy little cafe to rest her bones and grab a bite. She catches the latest news upon these very shores. The latest happenings came via telegram but she had to travel to confirm what is the real deal.
Kevin, I agree with much of your thoughts and experience. Much respect for taking your valuable time to express your thoughts and experience.
I am personally elated on the promising future of LA. I have many memorable moments and prosperous days in LA. I see the skies the limit for LA. I empty my pockets out to board a flight to LA and I am greeted with a telegram which is very insulting. Keven, the subject line in my mail read as followed: "LMAO" Yet the body did not reveal any humor. Is this what LA is up against? If any mobster mailed anyone outside LA with such nonsense, I am quite sure this would not be acceptable. I assure anyone I am affiliated with in the upcoming days would not dream of such childish behavior with the intent of being intimidating. |

A lovely topic here, mister Owens. My visions of this? As you say, I don't think everyone here wears fancy suits, I don't think everyone here smokes cigars and blows all of their money on alcohol, prostitutes and all that jazz. I think a very slim few do such a thing. I think in this world, my ideal view of it is.. A place where people can be taken seriously, ranks matter most and that there is a freedom of speech. I know others have said very similar ideals, to which I agree. To what I don't agree is; That the freedom of speech doesn't conflict with rank and seniority. The RetroToaster fella, a mere pissant in this thing, attacking verbally and making fun at the expense of a family man with the rank of Boss, a man who has much, much more experience and seniority. It's to no surprise that the young man had been found dead shortly after harassing the man. As for the incident regarding Salvatore shooting the two hoodlums from Los Angeles, I think he was most definitely in the wrong. Whatever reasoning his sons gave, they're irrelevant in my opinion. Don Duplicity stated rules for the city of Los Angeles and they were to be followed. This man, Salvatore, not only broke the rules killing himself in the process, but hereby disrespected Don Eredin who I believe to be a stark supporter of Los Angeles. His rank didn't matter when his own leader, and the leader of Chicago, both set rules regarding the city and he disregarded them. He however, despite his ranking, paid the price with his life. |
