Brooklyn Block Party Started by: Morte_Rossa on Sep 08, '15 23:08

When Morte returned to the table where Nessa and Sereno were seated, she immediately sat down because she could barely stand anyways. She wasn't really sure how she was going to dance but.. she would figure it out! She grabbed Nessa's hand and pulled her away from the table saying, "It's time! Let's go!"

She laughed as she tugged on Nessa's arm towards the stage, where she started dancing around, hoping that other people would join in and not be immediately scared away by her drunkenness.

Nessa was about to accept the drink from Serano when suddenly Morte appeared out of no where and tugged her out of her chair. Laughing she said, "Alright, alright! Its time to dance! I get the hint!" as she followed the other woman towards the stage. Once they were stopped in front of it Nessa shook her head as if to shake away her doubts and slowly started to move her feet side to side. After a few minutes of awkward movement she looked towards Morte and shouted over the noise, "Drink?"

Morte was laughing and enjoying herself, and thought Nessa was too, and she heard her over the music say, "Drink?"

She nodded her head yes and they went back to the table, where they accepted drinks from Sereno, who was about to pour one for Nessa anyways before Morte stole her away.

She said, "Seems like people are starting to make their way home so soon I'll probably call it a night too! But until then, I'll just continue to drink myself silly. I'm sure I'll feel better in the morning anyways! If not, I can always take some pain medication or something! Do you have a driver to take you home later Nessa?"

Nessa quickly took a swig of her drink and grinned at Morte, "Nah, I don't live far from here. I can stumble home." She glanced back and the now slightly more crowded dance floor and then at the drink in her hand. She tossed it back and nodded in the direction of the dance floor, "Come on Morte, the night is young. Shall we go show these schmucks how it's done?" she asked with another slightly drunken laugh, her eyes a bit wild from the mixture of drinks.

Gold stepped outside with a sight of so many new faces. He checked his coat pocket, raised a cigar to his mouth. His cufflinks gleamed while lighting it. As the sun was shining on such a perfect day. Gold exhaled and caught in a irresistible smell of delicious food. Making his way to a table, he notices Morte_Rossa and Nessa dancing to some music, as he smiles.

Morte laughed excitedly as Nessa nodded her head back towards the dance floor. She quickly swallowed down the rest of her drink and followed Nessa towards the stage so they could show everyone how it was done.

She took a quick glance back towards the table and spotted Gold, so she waved quickly then turned her head back towards Nessa. She wondered when Gold would venture out of his hiding place, and he looked rather suave in his nice suit coat and pants.

The song changed and it was a quicker tune, so her and Nessa's dancing sped up as well. She was having the time of her life and she hoped everyone else was as well. She knew it was probably almost sunrise but she didn't really care. She could pull an all-nighter and maybe be alright throughout the day if she had enough coffee!

She said to Nessa over the music, "If you don't feel like stumbling home, we have bedrooms in my Headquarters that aren't occupied yet. You can always sleep in one of them!"

Sereno noticed the two shovel off and get busy on the dance floor. He smirked then placed the bottle down, took the glass and went to work on getting himself intoxicated. He enjoyed a drink as much as the next man and then some. Under the influence he'd lost a fair few bets, yet he knew it was all in good fun. He was more about the enjoyment of it all, than winning or losing, and he already had the idea to hit up a card game once he'd stayed here for a good while.

Goonsquad looked legless, as did a few other guests. The music was still pumping and the positive vibe was strong. Whilst some mingled at the tables, most were up dancing at this point. Some were staggering out, the ones who'd drunk a little too much a little too fast. It was all in all a nice social and enjoyable event to be a part of.

As the moments lingered on, Sereno chatted to a few faces he knew and a broad he had his eye on. More drinks were downed and he even took the brunette for a spin on the dance floor. After returning to the table he noticed Goonsquad had already disappeared and his men were speaking with a couple of women. After another glass he'd take the small yet growing entourage back to the hotel for some more drinks and some poker.

After an hour or so of dancing with Nessa, Morte decided to take a break. A much needed one! She had exercised so much that she wasn't really all that drunk anymore, so she grabbed a drink from the bar for herself while Nessa retired from the area for a bit, then she went to the table and took a seat next to Sereno, who had just finished dancing with a pretty brunette who couldn't keep her eyes off of him.

"Well I hope you enjoyed your time here!" She said to him. "I enjoyed having you here, and your companions too. Goonsquad seems like a good guy, and I'm sure he's glad he has you keeping an eye on him! I'm sure you're probably leaving soon, huh? I think most everyone has already left, or passed out somewhere!"

Sereno smiled, then raised his glass to his lips and finished off the last of the whisky. He placed it back down on the table and grabbed his hat, placing it loosely on his head. The alcohol had definitely kicked in and he was well loose. He nodded as he stood up from the seat and grabbed his jacket which was hanging over the back of the chair. He faced the hostess and responded.

"Goonsquad is one of the best! Remember his name, he'll do great things. The best!" he said with drooping and sleepy eyes, as well as a slight slur.

"This thing was grand. Always a pleasure." he continued, then removed his hat and bowed in front of Morte_Rossa. His shirt was untucked and rolled to his elbows, his tie no longer present and his balance nearly gone too.

Sereno laughed at his own silliness then staggered off as the brunette put her arm around him and helped him along. She was just as intoxicated and needed him as much as her needed her. His men were already a few paces ahead, making their way toward where they figured they parked, laughing and having a good time with the women they also met.

After the initial greetings, Violetta couldn’t resist the tempting aromas any longer.  She excused herself politely to sort out a drink and food.  The spread was magnificent with an assortment to suit any taste buds.  Hors d'oeuvres ranging from smoked salmon bruschettas, to Italian Caprese, and everything looked simply mouthwatering.

Vi collected an empty plate before setting out to the food tables.  Several were set up for an incredible selection.  She noticed the bar was sparkling with lights, before her hazel eyes settled on the dessert table.  Violetta had zero willpower this evening, and began walking straight there.  The first delicacy that caught her eye was the petit fours.  Such an innocent indulgence before the entree, she chose a light pink square adorned with icing in the shape of a rose.

Without caring if anyone was paying her any mind, Violetta took a bite of the petit four then sighed merrily.  Setting the remainder of the cake on the plate, her eyes scanned the table of desserts.  Violetta caressed her lips with her tongue out of pure enjoyment, not realizing onlookers were smiling at the display before them.

She looked towards the table where Morte was standing near, and Vi noticed a familiar face approaching the table.  She admired the way Sereno handled situations with ease, and enjoyed speaking to him on various topics.  Before she knew it, Violetta had placed a little of this and that on her plate, and suddenly it was beginning to feel heavy.

Violetta headed towards the bar, blushed slightly at the bartender’s arched eyebrow when he noticed her plate.  Thank goodness it was dark, so flush on her cheeks wasn’t as obvious.  She smiled politely as he offered her a drink.

“What may I get for you Miss?”

“A Sea Breeze if you have it please.”

“Yes ma’am, right away.”

The young gentleman prepared the drink in no time at all, showing his excellent bartending skills and knowledge.  Returning with the prepared drink, he set the glass on the bar in front of Violetta.  She thanked him then took a slow sip of the Sea Breeze as she balanced her plate in her other hand.

As she headed back towards the table, Vi noticed Morte and Nessa strolling over towards the band and dance floor area.  She set her plate on the table, thankful she found a napkin on the way, then set her glass down next to the plate.  With graceful movements, her delicate hands smoothed the flowing skirt material together, so she could have a seat.  With enthusiasm, Violetta delved into the plateful of delicious foods.

Morte listened as Sereno spoke about Goonsquad, and then got up out of her seat as he bowed to her. She said, "Oh I believe you about Goonsquad. He'll definitely do big things. However, I don't know what it is with guys bowing to me today." She laughed then continued, "Guess it's just the polite thing to do. Anyways, thank you again for coming to the party. It's been great having you here! Have a safe trip back to wherever you're staying!"

She smiled as he walked away and put his arm around the pretty Lady for support, then she turned towards the table where she had seen ViolettaDiSalvo sit down with a plate full of food and her drink. She made her way over and took a seat across from Vi and said, "Sorry I haven't chatted with you much! Been pretty busy until now. Quite a few people have left, that's for sure. This party has went on way longer than I figured it would! I hope you're enjoying it!"

Report Post Tip

Goonsquad thought he could handle his alcohol, but sometime during the night it turned out he fell off his seat and rolled under the table, nobody even noticed where he went. While Morte, Violetta and Sereno had all been chatting around at the table, Goonsquad was napping under the table trying to sober up. It wasn't until someone had stumbled over the table, from bustin' too many moves on the dancefloor, that everyone realised just where he had been.

"Where's my cigar, I left it on the table and now it's gone. Some fucker stole my Cuban?" Goony exclaimed. Nobody knew what he was on about, only that he went on an awfully long tangent about someone stealing his Cuban cigar.

Eventually a young caucasian waiter (who had been serving Goonsquad all night) spoke up;

"Listen buddy, you and your fucking cigar can take a walk. Want your cigar back? Why don't you look in that overly expensive pocket in your suit? I put it in there for you once you fell over and embarrassed yourself trying to dance."

"Thanks, chump" goonsquad replied before sliding a envelope into his pocket. "You've looked after me well tonight. I appreciate it."

Goony turns around and locks eyes with @Morte_Rossa "Thanks for the invite, booze and wicked party. Next time I wont spend so much on Cigars & will try to socialise more myself. Here, have this box, take it as a token of appreciation, Don." The wooden box was wrapped in duct tape and looked heavy. There had to be something important in there. He grabs his suit that he had been using as a pillow and whips it over his shoulder before heading off into the sunset, puffing on his treasured Cuban cigar.

Morte turned and caught Goonsquad's eye as he walked up to her to thank her for the invite, alcohol and party. She said, "Don't worry so much about socializing. There will be more events like this in the future for you to socialize at. At least you got to enjoy yourself at this one!"

She smiled again when he handed her a duct-tape-wrapped box that felt like it had a hundred gold bars in it it was so heavy. She started to ask what it was but Goonsquad spoke first saying, "Here, have this box, take it as a token of appreciation, Don."

All she could do was say a quick thank you very much before he turned and was on his way, exiting from the party.

The activity was going nonstop all around Violetta as she ate another rose petit four.  She sampled one at the food table, and after tasting one she snagged three more on her plate.  Vi had began taking bites of each of the different foods she chose, each bite was delicious.  The caterers Morte selected were phenomenal, and well prepared with all the appropriate party foods.

Vi wasn’t sure which food was the best, but the smoked salmon bruschetta was a tasty appetizer to begin with.  She saw some pancetta wrapped beef, and held her plate out for the server to place a couple slices on her plate.  The caterers were smiling at Violetta when they had seen how passionate she was when she sampled the foods, and asked for more.

Violetta took a drink of the Sea Breeze replacing the glass on the table just as Morte headed back to the table.  She smiled towards her hostess, as Morte_Rossa took a seat to rest from dancing and mingling.

“That’s quite alright dear.  The party is simply fabulous.  The food is amazing, and has me thinking about throwing myself a party in the future. Well perhaps once I am more known around the city I could that is.”

Violetta glanced around the crowd hoping to spot her husband, but he must be running later than planned.  She turned her attention back to Morte before speaking.

“You looked as if you were having a grand time dancing.  Luca claims he doesn’t know how to dance, but I will get him out there on the floor.”

Report Post Tip

Morte smiled at ViolettaDiSalvo's enjoyment of the food. She laughed when she said her husband was running late and said, "That's a typical guy though huh? Running late, not liking dancing.. And yes the dancing was awesome! It was nice to have a good time with good people. Glad to see you are liking the food as well! You made some good choices there! I stuck with light food because I planned to dance, and it's a good thing I did because my stomach would probably be upset right now! And also, if you do plan a party of your own, I hope you invite me to it!"

Violetta took another sip of her Sea Breeze then giggled softly.

“Yes a typical man is late for everything it seems, but knowing LucaDiSalvo, he won’t be missing out on these delicious party foods.  Of course I would invite you Morte!  You are one of my dearest friends, and I enjoy being in your company.  Always a pleasure to converse with.”

She listened to Morte_Rossa talk about the dancing and eating, as Vi took another bite of the pancetta wrapped beef.  She had to fight not to moan out loud at the exquisite flavors hitting her tastebuds.

“Well as you can see, I won’t let dancing stop me from eating, but I have always enjoyed food since I was a little girl.  The only person I know who rivals me in the food department is Luca.”

Violetta chuckled softly.

Morte laughed and then said, "Well I look forward to meeting Luca then! He sounds like a good guy to have around if he likes food as well! I sure do love food, hence why I had the caterer make so many different things! Everyone enjoys something different, then there's the people that enjoy everything! Have to serve both of those kinds of people at one place! And the alcohol is sure nice to have around. Helps with nerves and what not!"

She looked around at all the people that were still there, laughing and conversing, then turned back towards ViolettaDiSalvo and said, "They have probably drank hundreds of dollars of alcohol tonight so I'm glad I brought in the bartender and paid in advance for all the alcohol. I didn't want the guests of my party to have to pay for their drinks... That wouldn't be very nice towards them! Speaking of alcohol, is that a Sea Breeze you're drinking? I saw that on the menu but wasn't quite sure if it would be any good! How do you like it? I might get one for myself!"

“We cannot deny our Italian heritage, and our love of good foods.  I rarely find time lately to just spend time at home cooking his favorite dishes.”

Violetta glanced around the party as well, smiling at all the people dancing, drinking and having a great time.  If she ever was able to host a party, Vi hoped it would be as successful as Morte’s always were.

“Yes it is.  Sea Breeze is one of my favorite drinks, other than wine.  It has vodka, cranberry juice and grapefruit juice.  The mixture can be tart to some, but I love the flavor combination.  I do recommend trying it.”

Report Post Tip

Morte listened as ViolettaDiSalvo mentioned Italian heritage. She always wanted to travel around the world, but mostly to Italy. She imagined it was an extremely beautiful country, and a trip there was on her bucket list. Maybe someday soon it would happen!

She smiled and said, "Well if it's in your heritage, then yes you have to love food! For sure. I'm German and Irish and I don't know for sure if the German and Irish were food-lovers but.. I'm definitely a food-lover! And okay! I will have to go get me a Sea Breeze then! I will be back in one moment to tell you if I like tart or not!"

She laughed as she got up and walked to the bar to order a Sea Breeze. After the Bartender finished her drink and handed it to her, she went back to the table and sat down. She took a quick sip and said, "Mmmmm yes I love tart. This drink is amazing. Thank you for telling me about it!"

Violetta smiled as she thought of her Homeland in Palermo, Sicily.  She was only but a child when her parents moved here for a better life for their children, but Vi remembers quite fondly a lot of memories, and experiences as a young girl.

“Oh yes!  I would love to hear about your visit when you finally get to Italy.  There are so many beautiful places to visit.  Luca and I went back to Palermo for our honeymoon, and planning a trip there again soon.”

While Morte_Rossa excused herself to fetch a Sea Breeze, Violetta took a few more bites of the food before her.  She was almost finished, and it made her smile softly to think of the caterers faces if she were to go back for another plate.

She decided not to though since she planned on dancing, but there was always after dancing.  Morte returned to the table with her drink, and Violetta smiled at the enthusiastic comment.

“I’m glad you like it.  My other favorite drink is an Italian Sunset Cocktail.  It is more of a sweet drink though, because of the Amaretto liqueur.  I didn’t want to overload on sweets though tonight, because after seeing the desserts table.  Goodness I had to eat a petit four right there.  It was so adorable with the decorated icing rose.”
