Forgive me if I have misunderstood the meaning of your reply, Illusive, I will comment on it however. I must ask you to explain your first line as I can't seem to understand it's meaning. I hope you don't mind. I'll move on to your second point.

If people actively seek out and do these jobs for families - aren't they (indirectly) looking for long-term employment with a family? I am fairly certain that most people do jobs to (eventually) find a family that fits. Jobs are a great way for people to interact with sponsors and see what families are like at a first glance. Would you disagree with that view of mine?

I'd say that most people actively search for employment within families through jobs. 

"well, jobs..
So, you know nothing and start work.. you notice some family is rewarding your efforts.. They might contact you, or they might not.
You have a short talk about superficial stuff... and either invite them into your family or you dont..
What does that person know about your family besides that he got payed"?

And what I ment with the first part was, children tend to reflect their parents behaviour.. thus, their mind has been influenced by them.

If you pay proper attention while doing work for a family you might notice what kind of family they are. The nature and quality of their jobs should tell you something about the core ethic of the family. To me it does at least. And, to fit in with information garnered by doing their jobs, you can always find their HQ and see what information it has to offer about the family's activity on these streets and all that jazz.

Jobs aren't perfect, far from it, but it works (most of the time). You can also approach a sponsor directly, of course.

The most recent events are a perfect example of WHY young thugs come to our shores with a sense of "What are you going to do for me" ... 

We have Leaders who are setting examples of betrayal and self service, what are young ducklings waddling through this puddle suppose to emulate? My Super Hero - Fun Loving Uncle MB taught me "You bust your ass for your family/leader, but only if you feel they will in turn bust theirs for you" 

SO I think given the current state of some, I will live by that credo - I feel I put myself in a great situation but only time will tell. I think I am with a group of people who will look out for each other and work for each other. In a city that will stand by each other, but alas like I said we shall see.
