Ricky's Pit Stop Started by: Ricky_Bobby on Nov 02, '15 23:30

After a strange week or so Ricky needed to find something that he knew and that he could really plant his roots in. As he walked through the streets and past all of the wonderful businesses in Detroit, he thought to himself about how he could use his racing expertise to benefit the Motor City itself. That’s when it hit him, a garage to help everyone go fast; he rushed off to put together the pieces of his future.

Pulling away the sheet covering the sign, for the first time Ricky revealed the masterpiece and culmination of his illustrious racing career. “Ricky’s Pit Stop” the sign read; upon the sight of it Ricky broke into a childlike fit and began jumping up and down with excitement.

The garage was a glorious facility that had blossomed from the remnants of an old closed down auto repair shop. It fit the mold with the two pumps out front and garage doors on the side to pull in the customers cars. With clean floors and fresh paint the place looked ready for business and Ricky was finally focused only had one goal in mind, hot nasty speed. Staring out of the front window while standing behind his front desk he said to himself,

Now everybody can be fast. Because if you want to be first, you need to be fast, and if you aint first, you’re last!

Chewing on a piece of big red gum (his favorite) Ricky kicks back in his chair and waits for his first customer.

Pacing back and forth in the front window off the shop Ricky cant figure out how an entire city of people have no car problems. Not even to replace a broken headlight from the time you had a few too many and "bumped" that shadowy person shaped thing. As a last ditch effort, Ricky decides that he will be more than happy to do help turn folks cars from active crime scenes into "new" used cars.

Drowsy from all of this planning, Ricky also decides to pick a mild cocaine habit.

Visas needed some work done these where dangerous times and she needed work done asap from armour plating and some modifications for extra speed.

Ricky_Bobby had done work on some of the cars from the other families and came highly recommended to her for this sort of work Ricky had modified many of the getaway cars for various jobs as well as driven them so it was a no brainer to seek out Ricky for the modifications needed for her car.

Visas had her driver park the car in the work shop and she walked over to where Ricky was tinkering away on his own personal ride.

Visas smiled as she watched Ricky do his work as a newly appointed Don in her City Ricky still didnt mind getting his hands dirty Ricky seen his boss and stopped working bowing his respectfully he waited to hear what Visas had to say.

Don Bobby i need some work done on my personal ride as you know these are dangerous times and i would like to know that myself and anyone with me are safe and have a more then even chance of alluding any would be pursuer.

She handed Ricky a list of what she wanted done to her car.

Captain Darling entered Ricky's Pit Stop holding a couple of sets of car keys.

He tipped his hat at Ricky_Bobby and placed a couple of packets of gum onto the counter.

"I've got a couple of jobs I need your help with, queenie wants this kept on the hush hush, she gave me the gum as payment for you"

Darling reached into his pocket and pulled out his pristine and barely used wallet. He took out several crisp five dollar bills and placed them on top of the gum.

"Obviously she's well aware you'll need monetary recompense and naturally Her Majesty believes the honour of covering that aspect of the payment should be mine."

Placing the car keys on the counter, next to the gum, Darling continued

"She needs these cars, uh, "detailed", there's a few circular holes in the back seat of one, some... eh, reddish staining that needs to be gone. The other had hot tea thrown all around it. I have no idea what she was doing with the stuff, but it's everywhere"

Realising that there was actually quite a bit of work to be done on the second car, Darling reached into his wallet and took out three more five dollar bills.

"I'm hoping that will be enough to cover the work. queenie had also asked me to enquire about a driver that can go really fast, for a little job she is planning. She didn't give me the details, which I'm sure is for my own protection, not because she doesn't trust me or anything like that."

Captain Darling's facial tic was starting up, his eye began twitching and he became acutely aware of how warm his face felt suddenly. Darling placed his wallet back into his pocket and smoothed his uniform blazer. Turning abruptly, he headed towards the door, feeling his cheeks flushing further as his eye twitching increased, he called out a thank you and hurried as quickly as he could out of the Pit Stop.

Walking through the inheritance that was his brothers garage, Ron takes a minute to take it all in. It really hits home that his brother had never even bothered to tell him that he had a business. Either way Ron was going to  help straighten the place up so Detroit could get itself back on track and prospering as soon as possible.

With that idea Ron went ahead and put the dead bodies in the dumpster out back and then headed back inside to finish up. Once inside Ron did the proper thing and emptied the register into his pockets and made sure anything of value was in his trunk so he could go to the local pawn shop. On his way out he dumped a few cans of gas and lit the place on fire. He might as well collect some insurance seeing as the new owners of Detroit would probably demolish it and rebuild anyways.

Ricky's Pit Stop quickly burned to nothing more than a pile of ash and an insurance claim.

The next day Bender arrived. He had been told about the place by an employee he sent on ahead to detroit to set up a branch of the new business, "Chumps 'R' Us".

Seeing there was nothing but piles of brick work and metal frames from former structure Bender sighed. He'd have to go else where to get his oil changed now. There was still a small crowd gathered, all chatting amongst themselves about the what might have happened. A few were speculating it had something to do with the reason bloodshed in the city and it being a continuation of the violence. Others, rightly, speculated it was just done by the next of kin because the insurance value would exceed the profits from running it as a proper business in a ghost town that only contained a few mobsters, most of whom had never once stepped foot in a business district.

Bender took the opportunity to advertise one of his businesses new branch being opened in Detroit. He approached the crowd and started thrusting business cards into their hands.
