I agree with everything you say here, but I have one question. What determines the penalty of either death or jail? I have seen alot dead and a few jailed.

Punishment was determined based on the extent of the infraction.

Well with those numbers I can definitly see the fairness in the decisions made.

Im probably 40/50, with random non page loads and impossible codes.

I am actually amazed the people would go to the trouble of clicking on the link but not voting. I suppose it shows a level of deception though. To be fair I have seen numerous comunications about voting with lots of detail and notes to say that there would be consequences. Fair play... :)

I agree that people who 'vote' but don't actually follow through are cheating the site.  I am a bit surprised that it's possible to monitor what someone does on an unrelated site in an unrelated browser window/tab.

Why not give us a quick display page that shows our vote stats so we can make sure we'll alright and if not, be proactive in bringing it to your attention. Most of my voting takes place at work, but as I've already said to you privately Squishy, sometimes they will crash my browser, not load or be blocked for proxy avoidance. Not many, but some.

I know you have said above that this is fine and won't be flagged, so there's no problem. Really though, what's the incentive for me to even bother flirting with the risk? There is none (small cash boost excepted). If I could see that I was alright, it would help.

To be fair I vote every day or two. Here are the errors I personally encounter which I know Squishy is aware of for me.

# One of the sites doesn't always load on FireFox. About 7 in every 10 presses of that + It doesn't load.

The errors I make myself..

# Typing the code wrong but I still type the new one.
# Getting distracted and the timer vote running out.

I must say how I vote aswell. I use my mouse wheel and click on all the +'s all after each other to open every vote page in tabs on the same browser then I go through one by one voting as to me it saves time having to click a + voting then going back to MR and clicking another + and so on.

This is one question I must ask though and if any admin could reply to the question so I know I would be most greatful and no doubt this is another issue for others aswell.

I share an IP address with my cousin as you might know, and If he votes before I get chance to (like if he wakes up in a morning before me) then when I go to vote and click the 'Vote Here' button it sometimes comes up...

'You have already voted this 12/24hours please try again later'

What will happen if I was to get that often ?

I don't usually but in the odd occasion I do.

The only site I know for sure I have missed more than once is the one that has the timer bar.  Other than that it's very very rare to not have a page load or let me vote.  And usually, if a page times out or doesn't load I leave the page open and reload it a few minutes later and am able to vote. Nfp.

In all fairness, I would like to point out this thread written when the voting was put into place. And some of the people killed have brought it to my attention and this is why they did what they did with the voting.

In this thread it does state that there was a clean up script and it would show if someone did or did not vote, and that if you did not vote, it would remove the $$ and XP given for the vote.

I guess it was a misunderstanding on my part also..My computer has been broken and didnt get around to checking that mail and wasnt worried cause I thought that you just took the money and xp away..guess I better learn how to read better.

To me it just seems a bit confusing. I would think that by this thread the people in question really shouldn't be punished as greatly as they were for being "dishonest".

A mail was sent out to users warning them that they would suffer "disciplinary action" for failing to follow through on votes going forward. I fail to see how this could be anyone's fault except for those who willingly continued to click on the voting sites without actually voting.

By the way, I thought you agreed with everything that was originally said here?
