I too have dialup.  And I enjoy the game AND voting.  The five k is nice and I always hope that My votes will lead some good players to this site.  Having played since the .org days, I've seen this game in LOTS of iterations, and so far I think that these guys have out done themselves, and IMHO, it is these trigger happy, button monkey, click-happy, instant gratification and unimaginative people that have brought the game to the place it is now.

I remember when people did not complain at all over there not being graphics, where we didn't have to teach them what Role play and in character were.  Where we didn't have to explain that there is a difference between 20th century "mafia' and 21st century 'gangsta' so, in my opinion, if the votes give anyone the incentive to come.  Vote away.

And if you jerks want to complain about getting jailed or wacked, it is no better than being 'a friend of ours' in real life and telling the Capo di tutti Capi to piss off when he said that certian businesses were not to be touched... you didn't argue.  Well, in case you haven't figured it out.  TPTB in this game are not the GF, who are great, but the guys who sweat over this game.  THEY are GOD here... just remember, we play because they have GRACED us with this game.

Personally, I have to say I am like a leech when it comes to voting. The second I see that + I press it no matter what. Vote away get my rewards and It also makes me happy because I am helping the game become more known which in turn brings more new people to our shores and thats great for business. I abosolutley love voting, half the time Im thinking to myself... 'I wonder when my +'s will come up'.
