Hello everyone. Im going to get straight to the point to save time.

Since I have become a leader I have been asked atleast 3 times now. 'Why are you a leader I didn't think you had the time for this' Well here is your answer to anyone else who is going to ask.

Yes I do have the time for it. I didn't retire on Death-Knight because of my time able here. I retired because while I was a Godfather, mafiareturns was constantly on my mind. I was always wandering.. 'I wonder if things are ok' or 'Hmmm what shall I do next for New Orleans' And well yes that sounds pathetic and yes I know it is. Thats why I stopped myself before I failed in all my exams at school.

Yes I am 15 years of age so I am in my final year and final months of secondary school. So my important life exams are coming up and I didn't wish to have being a Godfather on my mind while sitting in the middle of an exam when I should of been concentrating on the subject of the exam.

Thats why I gave it up. I gave it up because I didn't want the responsibilities of being a Godfather anymore. When I was given the chance to become Godfather I took it because I was ready and I knew I could do it. And as a matter of fact I was ready and did do it. But then overtime it wore on me over and over and finally it got into my mind to deep for me to be able to concentrate.Thats the main reason why I gave it all up.

I them came back aiming for my own family again and yes I am running a tight family with an excelent RHM that can do everything for me if I need to step away for a day or two to study. And I can asure you next time im faced with becoming Godfather if I ever am again. I will think twice before just saying yes. I will think about my upcoming months in life and decide whether I will be able to commit myself towards it then.

Nikolai takes a breath

Now you can either love me or hate me or just not even care and just still treat me like your friend or fellow mafiareturns player for what I did. As I did it to better myself and thats it. I always put everyone else before myself and when I retired that was the day I finally decided to put myself first instead.

I hope this has answered any of your wondering minds, I felt I needed to let you all know because It was also bugging me aswell wondering if people were wondering why Im a leader again when only just recently retiring my Godfather account.

I have chosen to hate you.

Good day.

I commend you Nikolai for coming out and explaining your self. This you did not need to do but at least it's out in the open now. You're right in everything that you say and if people choose to hate you that is their loss, you will always have my support. Your father did NO proud as their godfather, and you do St.Louis proud as a crewleader.

You made the right choice as RL always takes priority.

Santino.

Obviously you should retire now before any more questions are asked!

But seriously, its not really anyones buisness on why you retired a Godfather account and came back.

Report Post Tip

I think coming out here and referencing your past, again, was a bad move. You have been asked 3 times, not 30. There was no massive need for this.

You've painted an extremely wishful picture of what you may have believed you did in the past, particularly 'and as a matter of fact I was ready and did do it', where as anyone who knows the score about MafiaReturns will vividly remember you running New Orleans into the floor on your last account.

I completely disagree with you being given auth more or less immediately this time around, given how you totally threw the towel in last time. Unfortunately, you aren't in New Orleans this time instead you're in St Louis, therefore it wasn't my decision and Grassboy has decided that you've earned your chance. Fine, he obviously knows more about you this time around than I do, so I guess we'll just have to see what you make of the opportunity.

But for everyone's benefit will you please stop talking about 'Death-Knight' like you did wonderful things on that name. You didn't. You folded. For all of us, please move on and prove that this time around you can do a far better job. I hope this is the last reference you make to 'Death-Knight' and instead we can focus on 'Bobblegob' and his leadership within St Louis.

Yeah, I suppose I did do a bad thing in coming here. My apologies, Grin I don't know what to say but if you feel that way then thats how you feel. Yeah I am dwelling on my past a little too much now. I will stop for the best of my bloodline. I won't say anything else about being Death-Knight anymore and like you say Grin I should concentrate on being Bobblegob now. Just like I intended to do in the first place.

Sorry to anyone how has read this. Was a bad mistake.

This thread is a slap in the face to all of the former NO members who were placed in an unreasonable position after your retirement and the events leading up to it. The whole self-pity or self-flagellation thing is an embarassment as well.

If you have to quit because of real life thats fine. In fact many people quit then change their minds in this game, but don't come back and think that any statement you can make will erase the negatives of what happened. My honest opinion is that you accepting a position of respect and power so quickly after leaving your city in ruins is at best a mistake.

In other words I agree with what Grin said but I felt that it needed to be said again after that idiotic reply.

Report Post Tip

Well I'm sure that the 'masses' who questioned you are now sated that you came out to make such a completely unnecessary statement. Why this couldn't be sent as a reply to the three people who questioned you instead of coming out and making a pointless statement is beyond me.

Yeah, its a game. Yeah, real life comes first. But its a real shitty thing to leave the way you did, and so quickly again rise to power to return with the statement that you'll think twice about saying yes to Godfather again. You're already in a position of leadership and you have already undertaken responsibilities. I don't know you, don't really care to, but I just wonder after reading this how the members of your organization are going to feel knowing that you've left once, and you could leave again, putting all their hard work in jeopardy just because you don't want the responsibilities anymore.

*Shrugs.*

I guess I'm just backing on what Grin and Return_of_Ghost are saying. I hope YOU feel better about coming out here to explain yourself. In hindsight, you probably should have just remained mute.

My question to pose here is this. If you felt you would be sitting there always wondering about your city and your members while you where away from the game as a godfather, what is different then being a leader now? You had an rhm as godfather aswell that could have looked after your family. The only difference from then and now is the title you held. Your still gonna have the worries of your family when your away, you will still wonder about the city you are in.

While I cannot judge you for what you did, I feel that this explanation was not needed nor justified seeing as your in the same position you where, just without the title. As someone previously said, those under you should consider there choice. Hopefully you will not make the same choice again and leave your members hanging.

Report Post Tip

I think retireing to study was the right choice for you Iany young lad of your age should be putting there education first. My ownly issue here is with you coming back to get auth again and have that responsiblity again so soon after you gave up what you had. I wonder do you take for granted what you have? Have you really worked for what you have now? Or is this a case of your father was Godfather so that means you should automaticly get auth any chance you get... In my opinion I don't think thats how things should work but time and time again I have seen it. So many good hard working people get over looked for someone who has had a position before even if that person didn't really do much. None of what i've said is a personal dig at you but I will leave you with some words of advice.. Dont take your position for granted the oath of auth is to be responible for other peoples lifes on here aswell as your own.

I'm sorry, I've sat and watched this thread for a bit and have to step in here. Grin, you are far out of bounds, and in no way should have posted in this thread. However, what you said does have merit. Although....

The fact that you would sit and be little a man that even ACHIEVED the rank of Godfather in the first place is disgusting. What many don't understand is the fact that he was FORCED to retire to save his city. Death-Knight, died to pay for the sins of his city, after paying off LITERALLY every city for the continued fuck ups. LA finally had enough.

Bobble, I was quite shocked when you were given the chance to set up shop again, I have to admit. However, that being said your in my city and therefore family, and a friend. However that being said, you did run New Orleans into the ground. The fact that you are 15 years old, and ran with the big boys, "most of us being in our 20's" with years of experience at a game of politics, says something. You WILL be something great one of these days, but don't think for a minute that being a leader is ANY different then being a Godfather.

Godfather's do 'control' the city, but a wise Godfather, I'll use Premmybear as an example, will have an Under Boss that runs his affairs inside of the city, while the 'Godfather', handles the affairs out of the city. It's no different then having a Right Hand, and generally as a Godfather you have MORE people and a bigger opportunity to allow others to step up and prove themselves, your problem, was that you had idiots running your city into the ground, that you couldn't control. Shit happens my friend.

Return_Of_Ghost, it was the New Orleans members that you mention here that were a slap in the face to DK, continually fucking up and then being re-invited right back into the city and the same families. You have to wonder what went through these leaders minds that they would re-accept the same people who caused problems for there city back. This is what lead to the downfall of DK.

GingerAle, what hard work? There's leaders that are 'Protected' for the last MONTH sitting in NO, having what? 20 members? An English bulldog could run a crew with 20 members, any day of the week. There is no hard work required in that especially if you have a capable rhm and capable subcrew leaders in place.

In end, let the man tell his tale, and nod and smile.

Report Post Tip

LOLz at this.

Basically, he comes out into OOC, explains his position (completely unnecessary), and then received comments from the community at large.

Then you come in, Caius, give your own two cents, bashing him and for the most part reiterating what Grin, ROG and I have stated, but then tell us to just let the man tell his tale, and nod and smile?

Follow your own advice much?

Also...

Grin, you are far out of bounds, and in no way should have posted in this thread. However, what you said does have merit.

If what he says has merit, how is he out of bounds? LOLz again.

And regarding your reply to what I said, if you had actually read it in your haste to provide an unnecessary response, I said nothing about the other leaders, only the members of his organization.

In fact:

I don't know you, don't really care to, but I just wonder after reading this how the members of your organization are going to feel knowing that you've left once, and you could leave again, putting all their hard work in jeopardy just because you don't want the responsibilities anymore.

He left his family in the lurch once. His current members, after reading this, now have to wonder if he'll once again shirk his responsibilities and leave them again, just because he doesn't feel up to it anymore based on his own admissions in the original thread.

Report Post Tip

Achieving the rank of Godfather is hardly the formidable accomplishment it once was, Caius. I laugh at the idea that we should be in awe of someone for the simple reason that they achieved that rank (from an OOC perspective, that is. In character, I will show the appropriate respect.) It is easier to become a Godfather these days than it was to become a Don six or seven years ago. Hell, it might even be easier than becoming a Consigliere six or seven years ago.

You are wrong about another thing - everyone understands that DK was more or less put in a position where stepping down was the only way he could save face. But that is not what Bobblegob is saying here. In fact, he says nothing about the state of N.O. when he stepped down.

It is a contradiction that he feels he can manage a family, but could not afford the pressure of being a Godfather. Being a Godfather is easier than being a CL, so long as you have competent people running crews in your city. Put the right people in charge, and all the Godfather has to do is sit back and watch.

This speech is just an attempt at saving face, and I'm fine with that, because I don't think anybody really gives a shit. There have been much more significant events even in the time since his retirement. DK jumped off a sinking ship at the right time. The fact that the ship was sinking is what caused him to constantly worry about the state of affairs.

Report Post Tip

Caius, ignoring most of your drivvel, I will pick up on this:

GingerAle, what hard work? There's leaders that are 'Protected' for the
last MONTH sitting in NO, having what? 20 members? An English bulldog
could run a crew with 20 members, any day of the week. There is no hard
work required in that especially if you have a capable rhm and capable
subcrew leaders in place.

I don't see what GingerAle's point has to do with the current NO leaders, but anyway. A month? Who is here in NO that was there a month ago? Given that your LA account died 2 weeks ago, not me that's for sure. Regarding the member count, what does that have to do with anything? Am I suppose to be whoring my way to a city full of idiots? Incase you hadn't noticed, this was tried previously and failed miserably. A considered approach doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem. Not that NO is any of your business whatsoever.

Ok, one more:

What many don't understand is the fact that he was FORCED to retire to
save his city. Death-Knight, died to pay for the sins of his city,
after paying off LITERALLY every city for the continued fuck ups. LA
finally had enough.

DK may well have died to pay for his sins. Except he hadn't apparently paid these sins in the eyes of one or two wannabes. Still, all was righted there so we'll move on shall we.
