Ladies and Gentleman I come before you here today to explain the unfortunate passing of Godmother Rita_Hayworth. Miss Hayworth was on her way to Los Angeles from her home city of New York when a fatal tragedy struck. The bus she and her loyal bodyguards were travelling on crashed, killing all those on board.

Sorry, i can't even keep a straight face, who is seriously going to believe that bullshit? Let me start over.

So, in case you haven't heard , The Silk Glove has returned to cleanse these streets of the piss-poor crewleaders we currently have strutting about as if they are the dog's balls. When in fact they're not worth a shit. Except Dillon of course, the man who helps fund The Silk Glove to carry out our underground terrorism. Thanks Dillon, we are forever in your debt.

The first victim of The Silk Glove has been claimed today, and boy haven't we made a statement. Rita_Hayworth, Godmother of Manhattan, tried to come at us with her shiny pistol. However instead of another notch on her gun she was laid to waste by a wackback.

So how did this come to pass? Well, with the recent wipeout of Philly at the hands of New York, young Dillon started to have fears for his own life. Those bloodthirsty New York bastards surely had a new target. Would it be Chicago or Detroit? Dillon thought this would be unlikely as they at least had some strength in numbers. Over in Vegas it was just him and Aztec, the proverbial sitting ducks. Dillon knew he had to act, so he called in a little favour from the underground.

The Silk Glove had lain dormant for a long time. But Dillon knew what we were capable of. A few phone calls were made and some millions were wired to our account from Dillon. Moves were being made but we needed a good cover-up. We concocted a story with Dillon about how we disrespected him and his family. Dillon went to New York with his cap in hand, pleading with them to take the shot as he couldn't afford the flight to Los Angeles . Rita stepped up and told Dillon she would gladly take the shot, in his mind Dillon knew the seeds were sown. One of those New York bastards has just signed their own death warrant.

When Rita came looking for us by herself she thought it was just another little gangster for her to gobble up. Well looks like you underestimated The Silk Glove bitch. As the for the rest of you fucks in new York, well, whoever Dillon wants us to target next we will. We're big in numbers and we will keep coming at you. Taking out the wonderful city of Philly on New Year's Day was your first wrong move, trying to pass it off a some bus crash bollocks just rubbed salt in the wound. So keep an eye over your shoulders New York. That warm, velvety touch on your neck just might snap it in two.

Denying the reality of the situation helps no one. Yes, you are all angry, but pretending you're not while saying things like "good try" in pure denial is absolutely pitiful.

Succeed or fail, there is no try and Proffessor_X most definitely succeeded. The situation cannot be addressed as long as you pretend it's not a big deal and remain willfully ignorant of what he has to say.

SiameseDream, there is no denial here at all. This man was lucky enough to survive the attempt on his life and returned fire. It doesn't happen often in our world, but it happened today. 

If there is anything rubbing me up the wrong way, it's the flaunting of his 'success' despite how blatantly obvious it is that the results had nothing to do with his abilities in our world. If, perhaps, this Sticky Hand group have been throwing themselves at New York leaders hundreds upon hundreds of times, relentless in sacrificing themselves like some sad suicidal cult with the goal of achieving the opportunity to return fire and specifically kill one of them, and not one of the many other hitmen who could have been assigned to the task, then yes, there might be a mention as to their persistent commitment to a cause.

However, I doubt it, and no amount of recycled underground drivel will convince me that this man woke up today knowing this would be the end result. If he advertised publicly prior to the attempt on his life, making it clear he was out to slay a New York leader by means of countering their assault, I have faith that New York's resolve would not have been shaken by the taunt and Ms Hayworth would have taken the shot regardless.

Why? Because of the odds. Ms Hayworth lost, but if it wasn't this shot, it would have been another, one that was probably going to be more critical to the city in the future. In a sense, I'd dare say that in the most tragic of circumstances, that Professor X did the city a service. If Rita's next shot was to end her life, underground lowlifes like this guy are much better to die for so that your city will live on during a war, and not allow someone more threatening to live and bring further harm to the city she no doubt would have died for anyway. That's what she did, she gave her life for New York.

Pitiful? Yes, but in many more ways than you assume, SiameseDream.

Your words still reeks of denial. Who are you to say the result had nothing to do with his abilities? The fact of the matter is, he got into a confrontation with Hayworth and she's now dead. If he hadn't performed better than her, she would still be alive.

Whether her own incompetence killed her or Professor X is some kind of genius isn't your call to make and your apology here just reeks of denial and mental gymnastics. "Well she could have died later", yeah and? She didn't, she's dead now and she died because of him.

No amount of twisting the narrative or playing with semantics will changed what happened. She went to kill him, he was too much for her and she died. If that were not the case, she'd still be here.
