| Hey so reasons their should be deadlines 1 it only costs 1 credit to reserve so people can be big jerks some guy took my name longtime ago and it's stays reserved but hell never use it he or she just took it to be a jerk their should be a way to get that name back like mabye a deadline if it's not used then some one else can buy it like if u don't pay rent on your store how they auction your storage off | |

It's actually 3 credits now hun.
Reserve a Character Name 3.00 Credits Reserve a character name so that only you may use it.
Sadly there are people who do it to be mean, but if you had reserved it, then it would have never been taken. It doesn't take much to reserve it, you can buy 3 credits with max 1.5m game cash and also you can get free credits in IRC, so it's not difficult to get the credits. Just gotta reserve the names you like :/ |

i have seen this come up a few times in the irc, in mails, and even in the forums. i can understand the argument that you should have reserved the name, but still either a time limit needs to be placed on the names then you have to "renew it" or a max number of names. It has started as a good idea and turned into basically a tool used by mafiareturns trolls, or even those wanting to make a extra credits by brokering names. When ever a feature in this game starts getting abused generally something is done about it. When credits starting to get claimed in the irc and then they suicide the requirement of a gun or the rank of gangster was added. People abusing the ability to shoot forts without putting any effort into there characters was fixed. How much abuse does this feature need to see done to it for it to be finally fixed? |

So find out who reserved it and attempt to "buy" it back. If you ask around you'll find out who owns the majority of registered names (Jeddy) and maybe he'll find a bit of nicenice in his soul and give it back to you for a small fee. |

I really, really can't agree with the idea that just because somebody didn't bother to reserve their names, other people should have to keep on paying to keep theirs. Kinda unfair on everyone who was organised enough to reserve their names to start with. |

| Also maria most people don't live for more then 6 months at a time so I think some where around that is more then a generous time frame for them to use that name exspecaily if they die 6times in that time frame and still haven't used that name | |

Yeah Squishy can't tell you because it would be abuse of his administrative powers. You need to deal with the player base itself. Think of it as a quest Sneek. Quest to bear the name Mafiatrivia. You'll need to find someone who can set you on the right path. Like Kaheska said, you'll need to find someone who knows a lot about the reserved names. Ask around and see what you can find out |
