Wolf, I'm not smoking anything. As an owner of both, and a player of both regularly, I can attest to the better lighting quality of the xBox 360 over the Playstation 3. Just because the commercials laud the graphics of the Playstation 3 doesn't mean it is truly better than the xBox.
The only advantage the the Playstation 3 offers over the xBox right now is the use of BluRay discs as the game media, and their high storage capacity. But as no game on the market right now really needs that much space, the double layer DVD's that the xBox uses are more than enough for amazing game play. So the advantage is there, but its not even worthwhile at this point.
Furthermore, the PS3 champions the sixway motion sense controller as an amazing breakthrough in technology, yet when you use it, its not exceptionally responsive and it lags, pitifully.
The graphics on the Playstation are also compromised when hooked up to a projection device whereas the xBox still retains its clarity and extraordinary detail.
The real comparison of the two consoles comes down to the exclusivity of games and which games you prefer. While third party releases make this a bit of a mute point, it really does depend on what type of gamer you are. As an avid FPS and RPG gamer, the xBox 360 is the obvious and better choice. |

It's true, the 360 does have better lighting, some games can have less framerate issues on the PS3, but overall I prefer the 360. The irony is I originally started out as a PS gamer, and went to buy a PS2, but for some strange reason (I still don't know why) I ended up walking out of the shop with an Xbox.
I've never looked back.
I can't wait for the next Fable to be released. |

XBOX 360 also has the advantage of having iconic games like Halo 3. Nintendo had Mario, Sega Megadrive had Sonic but I cant think of a game similar which does the same for the PS3, atlhough to be fair its still early days for it. |

Never played it, but I got Two Worlds recently. The constant jittery framerate just got on my tits. Apparently, it's much better for the PC though, I think I might give it a try, cos the game itself seemed fantastic, it was just the fact you can't walk 3 feet without the game stuttering that made it unplayable. |

Ok first of all the 360 has amazing lighting and visual effects, PS3 has the potential to have amazing graphics but no games back up any of the hardware it has.
Secondly the games issue, There are currently only a couple games that make PS3 even sort of stand out and those are Drakes Fortune, and Metal Gear 4. The 360 however has many great titles and most are Xbox Live compatible for amazing Online play. Just to name a few there is Halo 3, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, The Orange Box, Gears of War, Call of Duty 4, and Bioshock just to name a few.
Finally there is the Debate about the price, Yes I know the PS3 has gone down significantly in price to $400, but comon starting out at $600 when I can get a fully loaded 360 and some amazing games for $400 is just plain dumb.
So all in all the winner is clearly the 360 hands down. |

I own both. PS3 started off slow but its getting better. Most of the issues were concerned with lack of development support for ps3 game development. So developers had a hard time getting their shit together in the limited time frame available to develop their games. Hardware as we all no sony knows what their doing, and as a consequence we see poor games starting of for the ps3, but there have been hardly any hardware issues. 360 on the other hand is the opposite scenario, where they had excellent games to launch their product with but an under pile of dog shit when it comes to hardware. I'm sure people will agree with me here.
As far as which is better, well games wise 360 has to be the winner. However there are many more good games being released now and in the near future to make ps3 an extremely strong contender (MGS 4, UNREAL TOURNAMENT 3!!!!! its not coming out on the 360 people and it looks amazing).
Hardware wise ps3 blows 360 out of the water theirs no comparison, I had my ps3 on for about 7 hours one day and I had no overheating, melting, crashing, fucking red lights lol or anything else that's happened to my 360. Another strong point for the ps3 is the fact that sony are supporting modding of their console to an extent. By that I mean they support users turning their ps3 into a pc of sorts by installing linux. I think they are supporting yellow dog linux or something along those lines, ill be doing it soon so i can use my ps3 as a media center to watch videos and stuff on my big tv. Something for everybody to read into if they have the time, so overall id say there's a lot more to ps3 than people think and in the coming months/year it will be a strong contender but 360 has my vote for the moment due to its huge range of good games. |

I always wanted a wii but never managed to pick one up. i dont think it would be fair to try compare it to the 360 or ps3 it kinda stands in a league of its own in that the fact that no other console can do what it does with its control system. As far as games are concerned, wii has a really good selection mario galaaxy is prolly the game of the year from what iv heard. and the new metroid game looks awesome |
