To date 360 has better overall support. Next year though PS3 will dominate. Just look at the line up of games and the fact that sales have quadroupled in the last month. Next year will be the year of the PS3. Wii has done very well in terms of a novelty based fun console but its not in the same league as PS3 or 360 when it comes to power and games regardless of sales. The margins are different as well so sales are not necessarily equitable comparisons. |

| I think you'll find that the 360 has also enjoyed similar growth in sales runnning up to Xmas, maybe slightly less but still substantial enough. Ruling Xmas out though, 360 sales rose by 260% with the release of Halo 3 alone...something I cant see happening with the PS3 no matter how good the line up of games for next year is. | |

Ps3 has no games that will rise there gaming product to dominance. You people act as if the Ps3 is going to keep creating awesome Games and the Xbox is just going to haul with the production of all of its exsclusives. After MgS4 and Final Fantasy 9999 X The Return Pt. 2 they will be just the same gaming system. The only game that went to the VGA for the Ps3 was Rachet and Clank for the Best Ps3 game. Now, too me that just sounds pathetic. |

| To be honest as a gamer i couldnt give a shit about sales or anything like that, i just want to have a bit of fun. The Xbox has many many more good titles than the PS3 and Xbox Live is second to none, althought the specs of the PS3 are impressive tey have yet to utilise this and even if they manage too finally get there then they will still need some decent games. | |

I've played both, and personally prefer the 360. There's not much in it, but the sheer price difference would sway me to get a 360. "I dont like the fact I have to pay to play online" @ Wolf, even if you played online till the next gen of games consoles came out the xbox live subscription wouldn't be anywhere near the amount it costs you extra to buy a ps3. |

IllWish. You can also buy the shitty Ps3 for only $400. But, I doubt any real gamer will go for that. I don't think that paying for Xbox Live is bad at all... Compared to PSN... Xbox Live is godly. |

360 easy choice the ps3 games at the moment are crap the graphics arent whateverone thought they would be but they will pick up soon until that day comes 360 is the top choice no question |

PS3 due to better graphics and the Blu-ray enhancement. The Xbox 360 seems just as the same as the first Xbox, in my opinion. |

Well since all of you are such experts, someone help me out here- I want to get Guitar Hero and I don't know what system to get for it. I don't want anything fancy because that will be the ONLY game I ever play on it. So what should I get? (I'm getting it used, btw) |

ok here goes. PS3's online abilities cannot even be mentioned in the same breath as XBOX Live, although that is largely due to XBOX Live working out all there kinks with the original XBOX. As for graphics they are both very similar but I feel the 360 has the edge a little. The 360 has more games as they have the same as the PS3 & then have their own exclusive games. Sony have screwed up with the PS3 making it too complictated for programers to create games for it, point & case GTA4. GTA4 was ready for release back in August for the 360 but because they can't get it to work on the PS3 they won't release it. Now for styling, I like the look of the 360 especially the elite (which I hope to be getting soon) & the PS3 looks like well... crap. |

I won a 360 from a local Dave and Busters. 3 months later, with moderate use, it wouldn't work. I was told that the problem was that the welding done on it was faulty and that many others had the same problem. The solution was to send the 360 in to Microsoft along with your receipt (to show the warranty was valid) and they'd replace the system. Seeing as I won it, I had no receipt, so bye bye 360. For Xmas my girlfriend got me a PS3. Already after a week, I can tell it's 10x the system the 360 was. The graphics seem to be better, the controllers don't need batteries every other day, and I like the extra functions a bit more (internet, etc.). Also, I'm a fan of sports games and there's no comparison between the gameplay...the PS3 is miles ahead. It should be noted we also have a Wii (the girlfriend really wanted one). This is a fun system overall, but if you're a traditional gamer, steer clear. Some games are fun to play violently swinging your body around a room, but many others aren't. If I were to rate the systems, PS3 would get a 10/10, 360 7/10, and the Wii a 7/10. The Wii would get my nod over the 360 just for the novelty of its gameplay. If you're a traditionalist, between the 360 and Wii, get the 360. You might prepare yourself for a few problems though. I know the PS3 costs a bit more, but its worth it. If you are on a strict budget, I'd honestly choose the Wii over the 360 as well. ....Just my thoughts. |

I hate the fact they have taken the rights off of Nintendo. I'm a Nintendo person, loving the DS at the minute, but I also own the 360 and who better to own a gaming company than Microsoft. 360 wins this thread. All that the play station has is final fantasy. |

I like the ps3 better than the 360. The ps3 online has almost no lag while the 360 is full of it. I could never play a game of Gears of War online without having some sort of lag. With Warhawk on the ps3 the lag is never their. The ps3 has wifi built in so I don't have to hook any cables into my router. My brother owns a 360 and he even says that the play station network is better than xbox live. For the graphics part I think it is merely dependant on if you have an HDtv or not. in HD they both have very good graphics that don't seem much different. On the Ps3 with some games you can play up to 40 people in some games which is really fun. I also think that blu ray dvds will eventually wipe out HD dvds. The PS3 gets hot if you play it horizantilly(Sorry for the spelling) but vertically it don't over heat at all. I have the 80GB one as well so I have plenty of memory. Almost all of the PS2 games you can play on it while the 360 can only play a select few games. Lets not forget that the Playstation Netwwork is free. The only thing holding the PS3 back is the lack of good games and obviously the price tag but that will change with the 20 GB. At the moment I can say that Resistance Fall of man, Warhawk, and motorstorm are great games. Sony will eventually crush the 360 in a couple years due to its blu ray dvds and if they start lowering the prices on the PS3. In the long run this is how I see it as the most seling console. 1. Wii 2. Ps3 3. 360 Of course the run for #2 will be a very close one which may be like this if gamers who love MGS4 and Unreal will start buying the cheaper version of the PS3. |

| sorry to say but ill stick with my ps2 untill they stop makeing games for it for the simple fact the i have well over 50 games for mine and in New Zealand the ps3\s wont play ps2 games and that put me off buying one strait away | |
