Thomas strolled in to the Paragon and headed strait for the reception desk. "Marnin' lass," he called to one of the attendants who made their way over. "Good morning sir, welcome to Paragon Tower. Looking to book a room?" "Nae lass, just need ta know what floor and room Mr. Noto's office be. I have a meetin' wit' 'em to discuss future business projects." Thomas smiled politely to her. She turned to her paperwork and looked it over, "And your name, sir?" "O'Shannon. Thomas O'Shannon. Probably nae on a list, lass. Just tell me whar tha office be an' I can wait fer tha busy man." She looked up and smiled, that off putting kind of smile when someone's about to give you bad news. "I'm sorry sir, I can't allow you into his office without a scheduled meeting." Thomas sighed, "I un'erstand lass. Yer just doin' yer job. I commend yeh fer it." Thomas drummed his hands on the desktop a moment, then spun off and moved towards the side of the reception area. He waited until the girls were preoccupied with new guests and slipped behind them. Quickly, and quietly, he jimmied the lock on the door and slid into the office unannounced. Greeting an empty room, he locked the door behind him as it had been, and moved over to the couch where he sat and waited, reading today's paper that had been left for Mr. Noto. |

As I swing the office door open, I see Thomas_OShannon sitting on a couch in the waiting area. "Tommy! What are you doing waiting out here?, get your ass in here and have a drink. Perfect timing for our meeting." |

Thomas looked up from the paper. "Fer one, yer lass at tha desk didn'ae have me on yer docket. An' two, while I find it okay ta break in ta this room, I wasn'ae goin' ta press me luck an' break in ta tha actual office. Just fer niceties an' such." He hopped up, setting the paper on the couch beside him, and walked through the waiting room into the office. Shutting the door behind him, he took a seat across from John and hiked one leg up over his knee in a relaxed fashion. "So what be it yeh wanted ta speak wit' me about?" |

I take a seat with a bottle of whiskey and 2 glasses. I pour a drink for both myself and Tommy, taking a sip of whiskey, I lean back in my chair and begin speaking. "Harry Walsh! That's what I want to talk about. As I told you last night at The Royal, I seen the note you wrote. As I said the situation would be dealt with, having your help just makes it easier on my end." I pause to take another sip of whiskey. "Now taking Walsh out is just to simple, so I want to take a different approach. I want to send a message! I'm sure you can help me with that. But first I need to ask you, he was with 2 other men, do you have info on them?." |

Thomas leaned forward and took his glass, taking a sip of the whiskey... "Mr. Walsh... I've go' a few men lookin' in to him an' this Irish mob others speak about. Walsh do'nae sound like a proper Irish name, Mr. Noto... Sound's like Nore Ire' ta me. An' Nore Ire' be agains' me broders in tha South. Regardless, tha IRA knows nae'thin' about this Irish Mob, an' we do'nae like that." He paused to take a sip of his whiskey. "Howe'er, I do know that Mr. Walsh travels back an' fort' between Canada an' Detroit via tha new tunnel under yer river here. Tha two goons been wit' 'em? Well paid bodyguards. Pádraig an' Ian... er, Patrick, sorry. Ian was born stateside in New York, an' Pádraig was born in Ireland, fockin' Nore Ire' 'e is. That be about all I know so fa." Thomas took another sip of the drink. "Me men be watchin' them. Seems they have a local business set up 'ere in Detroit. In tha Black Bottom district." He leaned back in his seat, letting Noto absorb the information. |

"Hmm, ok! So here's what I'm thinking. Mavis just took control of Black Bottom, DT. That puts us in a good position, now this Irish family Walsh is in...I don't think it was powerful to begin with, in fact I have never even heard of the guy who heads the organization. None the less Tommy you done some fine fucking research, I would like to sit down with you and discuss having you work here with me. But that will be after we handle this situation first. Now Walsh is still here in the Hotel, he hasn't checked out yet, as for the other two my bet is there at this business you speak of. So I'm thinking we go there and pay the two bodyguards a visit." I take a big drink of whiskey before continuing. "I need you to get hold of one of the two men and keep him captive at a discrete location of your choosing. The other one... is not going to leave at all!. I assume your ok with a little bloodshed?." With my car keys in hand I sit back and wait for Tommy to respond. |

Thomas chuckled, "Corktown, Mavis be in Corktown... Nae Black Bottom. Ghost be in Black Bottom. Regardless, am sure tha two be at their business. As I said, me boyos be watchin' them. If yer drivin', then I say we go now..." Thomas hopped up and followed Noto out of the office, the two moving quickly across the open foyer to the entrance of Paragon Tower. Slowing up as they got to the curb, Thomas looked at Noto who pointed to one of the vehicles. With a nod, Thomas hopped in the passenger seat. "There be a tiny speakeasy tha boys run. It be down on Hastings street." That was pretty much all that was said as Noto started his car, the vehicle lurching forward as he put it in gear. Thomas pulled his gun from it's holster, and slid a cylindrical attachment from an inner pocket of his jacket, screwing them together. He held the weapon low in his lap and looked it over before sliding it down into his jacket pocket to hide. The trip remained silent...
Noto drove his car along Hastings street in Black Bottom, and Thomas waved for him to stop the car. "Le' me go in an' handle it since they know yer face. Jus' wait here. I'll be out wit'in five minutes. If nae, drive off an' leave me." The two nodded to each other before Thomas hopped out and, with his head down, walked quickly to the door and inside. Slight commotion could be heard from inside, and as Noto looked up, he'd see a muzzle flash. One... Two... Three flashes. There was a pause, and a lull in sound... A fourth flash. The front door of the speakeasy opened and one of Walsh's bodyguards stepped out, hands in the air. He moved slowly to towards the car and Thomas emerged behind him. With the barrel of Thomas' suppressor pressed firmly to the back of his head, the man continued forward. "Open tha door an' climb in tha back, Mr. Ian. We're just gonna take a wee lit'l ride." As Ian climbed into the back, Thomas' hand raised and the grip of his pistol struck soundly on the back of the bodyguard's head. He slumped into the back seat and Thomas shoved him the rest of the way in. Hopping quickly into the front seat, he looked at Noto, "Well don' just fockin' sit t'ere, drive! Before someone comes out an' sees tha mess. Corktown, 8th an' Michigan. There be a place me boy's be, we can hold 'em t'ere."
Noto slammed the car into gear, again lurching forward, speeding off towards Corktown.
With one dead, and the other indisposed, Thomas and Noto returned to Paragon Tower. Thomas followed John back into his office where they poured a drink and sat for a spell. Only a couple of hours had passed, and it was time to move to phase two... Whatever that was. "So, whar do we sit wit' t'is idea o' yers?" |

Taking a sip of my drink, I think for a moment. "First off Tommy, my apologies for being so quiet on the ride to the job. And also getting the location on Mavis wrong, Walsh had my head all fucked up. Anyway phase two, well now that Walsh has no bodyguards... and he's due to check out later, I'm sure he will notice the disappearance oh his two goons, which is going to raise questions. Due to the circumstances, you know who he's going to look to first?." As I ask Tommy the question he points to me, glass of whiskey still in hand as he had his thumb and 3 fingers wrapped around the glass, his index finger pops off the glass slightly in my direction. I take a drink before continuing. "Exactly, however he is cornered now, all that's left is for him to confront me. We all know he handles everything with an attitude, so now we wait. However there's no need for you to wait here until he shows, could take hours. So head down to the bar and kill some time, when this is all settled I want to speak with you about your future here at the Tower." |

I Walk into The Paragon Tower with my finest suit on and a steel briefcase, I Walk up to the reception and ring the bell a few times to get some service, A blonde receptionist walks over to me batting her eyes up and down, i've seen this before, the old way of selling things, I place my briefcase on the desk and look her over, she seems pretty innocent, and greatly flirtatious. "Good evening ma'am, Im here to rent out a room on the 9th floor, is that possible?" She looks over the books in confusion, "Give me a second sir, I will need to consult my employer Mr Noto, Please, Go to the bar and grab a drink while you wait." I pick up my briefcase, and proceed to the luxurious bar, I Take a seat and order a glass of rum, taking a few sips as i wait for my room. |

After wrapping up my conversation with Mr. OShannon, I receive a message from the front desk that a gentlemen is looking to rent a room on the 9th floor. "So he wants a Presidential suite?... if there is one open and he has the cash then give him the keys." After sorting that situation out I lean back in my office chair, expecting KateLogan very soon. I knew she had been busy but it was only a matter of time before she stopped by the office. |

Kate exited the elevator with Jack trailing behind her. She walked behind the desk and reached Noto's office. Got a minute, Noto? I need to head out to the streets soon, but I wanted to chat. |

Jack offers the slightest hint of a smile at Noto and remains standing near the door while Kate gratefully slides into the seat across from Noto. "Sorry I couldn't make it to the 313 last night. Heard it was a good time, though... maybe I'll be able to stop by later. I heard you had some keys for the elevator?" |

I slide the keys to Ms. Logan. "Ah yea the 313 was great, I spoke with Vito, Thomas and the very stunning Billie." A slight smirk as I mention Billie's name. "Jack scared everyone to death, but the champagne was very thoughtful of you. We would have loved to have you there but I know you have a lot on your plate." |

Thomas gave Noto a nod, standing and moving to the door as the receptionist stepped in. Thomas stepped away and concerned himself with other things in the office as the receptionist asked about the 9th floor for a guest. John gave her a simple answer, if money, then room. Thomas tipped his head in a slight bow and waved as he opened the door a second time, to none other than Kate Logan herself. It was going to be a fucking miracle if he could get out of that door. Again, he stepped aside and allowed Kate to come in, "Afternoon, Miss Logan..." he crooned before slipping out behind her. FINALLY. Out of the office to leave Noto to handle his business, Thomas made his way to the bar to get a drink and brought it back to watch the piano man fill the foyer with beautiful music. Now, the waiting game. Walsh would indefinitely make his way to the foyer, and Thomas planned to be ready. |

After several hours had passed, I received a call in my office from the receptionist. "Mr. Noto, there is an irate gentlemen at the counter looking for you, a Harry Walsh." I immediately respond "Ah Mr. Walsh, have Thomas_OShannon escort him in please, you can find him around the foyer." |

Thomas had already seen Harry Walsh walk up to the desk and yell at the receptionist. Something about his pickup not being scheduled and where were his men. They were supposed to be called by staff. Thomas stepped up as the receptionist hung up the phone. "What seems ta be tha problem here?" Thomas winked to the girl behind the counter before looking to Walsh who turned slowly to him. "Oh thank fuck, another Irishman. Did my boys send you?" Thomas smiled at the man, "I suppose tha's one way ta put it. I need ya ta come wit' me though, it's a matter o' yer safety." Thomas leaned in to Mr. Walsh, whispering something to the man. Walsh's eyes widened and he looked at Thomas, "You have to protect me boy, you know who I am?" "Relax Mr. Walsh, some fockin' wops nae gonna get yeh. I've arranged fer yeh ta stay here in tha office. It be secured an' safe. Straight t'rough tha door behind tha desk here." Walsh nodded and walked to the door, the receptionist opening it for him and Thomas. The door shut behind them and Walsh continued to run his mouth for a minute... Turning around he spoke, "Thank you, boy. You're doi...." He paused as he looked at Thomas. "What -are- you doing, boy?" To Walsh's dismay, he now stared at the barrel of Thomas' pistol. "Am cleanin' out tha trash, Mr. Walsh. T'rough tha next door, please. Now. Ya wick fockin' Ulster bastard. Tiocfaidh ár lá." Walsh's eyes couldn't have gotten wider if they were stretched with clothespins... He turned, stammering as he did so, moving towards the other door. "Wh-wh-what the f-fuck is a f-free st-st-stater doing in D-D-Detroit?" "Through tha door, Mr. Walsh, an' yeh -may- live ta see anot'er day." They proceeded into Noto's office, where three glasses of whiskey were already poured and waiting... "Mr. Noto, meet Mr. Walsh, formally." Thomas remained behind the man, his pistol pressed against the back of Walsh's head. |

Thomas managed to get Walsh in the office with the ruckus at a minimum. As my eyes met with Mr. Walsh, it looked as though he seen a ghost. "Mr. Walsh we meet again!... hey Tommy nice work, grab a chair and sit at the door." Thomas eases up, taking his pistol away from Walsh's head, he grabs a chair and sits in front of the door with is pistol still drawn. Mr. Walsh speaks up "why the fuc-". Before he gets his sentence out I speak up. "Walsh enough talking! Sit down!." He takes a seat opposite to me, as I walk to my liquor cabinet. I grab the bottle of scotch and a glass and pull them out slowly, placing them on the desk. I take a seat and begin chatting with Walsh. "I know first hand that you like scotch" I pour the drink and slide it to Walsh. He tries to speak up again. "Noto I-". I cut him off again. "Walsh I told you don't talk! Just shut up and listen!." I take a brief pause to sip my whiskey. "You know what I learned here, during my time in Detroit?... patience! I learned that from someone very important here, her name will not be disclosed. What puzzles me is that you came into my Hotel, spilled boos all over me and then had the balls to laugh about it. Here you are away from home, and you walk around like you own the place. Well let me formally introduce myself, I am John Noto...owner of this Tower, and now that we are not in the foyer I don't need patience, so here's how its going down... take out some cash and pay me for my dry cleaning bill!". Walsh throws a 20 dollar bill on the desk. "Now Mr. Walsh I need one last thing, name of your boss. And before you try and play the dumb card keep in mind that one of your guards is lying dead not to far from here... and Ian is being held by my good friend behind you...I will release him as soon as I get a name." Walsh speaks up "Mickey O'Reilly! Operates from Canada mostly. You know I hate when a man acts bold when he has backup!." I stand to my feet with a small chord that was hidden. "Once again your wrong Walsh! You have no clue who I am, but it doesn't matter anymore." Before Walsh answers I wrap the chord firmly around his throat. After a decent struggle his body goes lifeless. His body makes a loud thump as he lands on the carpeted floor. I sit back down and focus on Thomas. "Couple things, we don't need any loose ends. So this Mickey needs to go. Lastly we need to sneak Walsh here out back quietly and tell the cops a civilian found him." |

Billie gulped softly as she stared up at the ornate chandelier, hanging in the foyer. Even as a showgirl, she'd never seen that much sparkle. Looking around at the Tower's opulent design, she suddenly felt very under dressed. Smoothing her hands over the pleats of her mint colored tea dress she quietly berated herself under her breath, "No don't get trussed up, Billie. He'll get the wrong idea, Billie. This one will be just fine Billie." With a frustrated sigh she straightened up. Regardless of her own insecurities, it was far too late now. Going home to change, at this point, was out of the question. With a determined smile she fluffed dainty ivory accent bow that graced her neckline, straightened her matching ivory fascinator, folded her gloved hands over her painstakingly coordinated clutch purse - which she really did clutch with a surprising amount of force - and slowly approached the desk at the center of the room. "Business, Wilhemina Ruth. Just. Business." She chided herself nervously. The footfalls of her mary jane pumps echoed loudly off the marble floors as she reached the desk, which to her surprise and dismay, was absolutely bare. Not a soul in sight. Billie lingered for a moment, peering this way and that for any employee who might point her in the right direction, but the foyer remained starkly empty. Growing impatient Billie scanned the room once more before hopping - and at her height it really was a hop - onto the desktop and sliding behind. She rummaged through various papers, reservation books, and receipts for a moment, before finally uncovering a laminated floor plan taped to the lower desktop, behind the customer counter. With a smug smirk she noted the location of Noto's office clearly marked on the little map... she'd have to give him hell for that later. For a moment she contemplated how to extricate herself from the bullpen she'd slipped into. The low deskspace behind the main counter would make getting out much more awkward than getting in. Preparing to hoist herself up and climb, she turned - just enough to notice the waist high, red velvet rope, marked 'employees only' that guarded the rear entry to the space. There was a gate? Of course there was a gate. Shaking her head with a self-deprecating chuckle, Billy unlatched the rope and made her way to the small door that led to Noto's office.
The door opened onto what she assumed was a small waiting room. Though it was dimly lit, and her eyes were slow to adjust. Directly ahead of her she spied a second door. And, seeing as no one else seemed to be waiting, she made her way to it. As her hand lingered on the doorknob she took a deep breath, calming her nerves and summoning her typical classy poise. With a determined step she thrust the door open... and directly into the back of Thomas' guarding chair. She winced audibly as the doorknob abruptly wedged into her hip and her forehead collided with the door. "SON OF BITCH!" she cried, clearly frustrated. "If you don't want people coming in lock the da....." Billie trailed off as the crack in the door revealed just enough to cut her off. "Oh for ever loving fuck." she mumbled, shaking her head at the ceiling before resting it back against the door (facepalm? facedoor? doorface?). Backing away from the door she slouched against the wall next to it, muttering under her breath as she waited for the men in the office to react. One day she'd understand how she keeps getting herself into these situations, she thought silently. One day. |

I heard a slight bang on my office door. I was so caught up in work I did not notice that Thomas had left the chair sitting in front of my office door. When I move the chair over and walk out of the office I notice Billie slumped against the wall. "Billie are you ok?, my apologies for Thomas leaving the chair I front of the door, he went to... drop something off." I place my arm out and lift her to her feet, kissing her hand once again. "You look stunning, so you here for business?... or you going to let me take you on that date?." |
