Flooding Paradise Started by: Artus on Nov 18, '16 09:09

The Garden of Eden. Such fond memories. Artus missed the serenity of the garden while he used to watch his bunnies run free through the grass. One fateful day had arrived, and Slash had caught him eating of the forbidden fruit, then sending Artus out from the Garden of Eden to explore a new horizon in Summerlin.

Artus sat in his Headquarters peering outside, watching the waves flow in a steady rhythm.  Such a calming feeling, watching the waves crashing on the rocks, water flowing rapidly.  Don @Slash and Consigliere @FitzChivalry stopped by early that morning, an urgency in their step as they approached Artus' office.  Swift knocking, borderline pounding on the wooden door, caused Artus to drag his attention away from the waves, to focus on the doorway.  Slash entered first with a thunderous look on his face.

"Damn it Artus!!  All these floods have gotten out of control!  My garden is in danger of washing away.  This can't continue."

@FitzChivalry walked in behind @Slash grumbling about all the wetness lurking about.   He looked towards Artus' desk, then around the office. Wetness everywhere.  Shaking his head in bewilderment, his voice coarse as he spoke his hand pointing to the floor.

"Artus! How can I keep @Disorder in tip top shape for the fights when the gym is on the verge of submerging underwater?  One slip...he's out of commission! @Slash and I are in agreement here.  It's time for you to pack your belongings, gather everyone, and head off to Paradise."

Artus glanced to the two gentlemen.  Two of the finest men he has ever worked with, but he mumbled aloud.

"Paradise?"

@Slash nodded reminding Artus of the recent turn of events.  Raoh was due to travel across the oceans, back to his home lands.  Unsure of his return, @Slash and @FitzChivalry called upon Artus to take the reigns of Paradise.

"Artus you know how much you've done for Summerlin, and for Las Vegas.  @FitzChivalry and I concur that Paradise is the perfect location for you and your floods, I mean family.  One final request was made, and I know you are up for the challenge."

"I'm always up for a challenge.  Look at who all you've had me put up with for weeks."

The trio laughed a moment then @Slash carried on to the key detail regarding this move.

"Artus with your knowledge and experience I can't think of a better person for the job we have for you.  You recall Raoh is called away on business, and Trixxy has our blessing to set up here in Las Vegas. She is quite eager to learn the joys of leadership, and frankly we feel you are the best person to guide her along, mold her into a good leader."

Artus nodded, thoughtful of all the happenings going on at once.  He stood extending a hand to both gentlemen.

"I will do you both proud, and make Las Vegas thrive."

Artus moves from his desk to the doorway shouting for his two closest comrades to get their lazy asses in gear.

"@BCP! @Rorschach! Time to open the flood gates!  We're moving to Paradise!"

Artus turned back to @Slash and @FitzChivalry with a smirk.

"I do have one question though....You both really think Paradise is really far enough away for you to be safe from my floods?"

Summerlin was home for a long time now, yet the time has come to build a bridge into Paradise.

During her stay in The Flood, Cami adapted to the water logged atmosphere.  Everywhere she looked....wetness, wetness and more wetness.  It was like an endless flood somehow, so much that she would walk barefoot around the Headquarters.  Shoes were growing to be an expensive cost, not to mention the fact she was always slipping in the halls.  Her fragile bones were still recovering from the many mishaps.

Cami was honored to have helped Don Artus in gaining a foothold in Sin City, yet as time passed she had missed being in the Garden of Eden, and Don Slash very much, even Consigliere Bender.  Arrangements were finalized, and she had returned to the Garden of Eden.  Cami smiled as she recalled the homecoming when she entered the gates of the Garden.

She was somewhat sad when she heard the news, The Flood, Don Artus, everyone there was leaving to expand Sin City.  Having grown used to Artus just being next door, her heart sank a little knowing he was moving all the way over to Paradise.

Paradise.  How fitting for Don Artus.  He can finally let the rivers flow without worry of water damage. What was Paradise without a few waterfalls? She made a special trip to wish Artus well on the move that day, and looking back now she realized they weren't that far away.  The bridge gave her easy access from the Garden of Eden, and allowed her shoes to remain dry as she strolled over to Paradise from time to time.  Cami often stood out in the rose garden at their Headquarters looking towards Paradise....whispering softly at times...

"We miss you over here Artus."
