Pretty simple really. An addition to the banking page that allows you to deposit money into a high interest savings account.
I see this as an interesting option for players. A wonderful escape for incurable gamblers who can't stay away from the tables and a great tool for Crew Leaders trying to build districts. There are many uses for it and an enjoyable amount of risk on the part of the investor. It would also appear relatively easy to implement. Thoughts? |

I'm actually heavily in favor of this suggestion. I think it could be a nice easy addition to what is already there. Well done |

Define 'High Interest' like 10%, 5%, 20%? |

This adds more money to the game, how would that be countered? I believe part of the ruling for such additions is a risk factor that allows the balance to be offset in some measure and I dont see how that would happen here. I actually like the idea tbh, just playing devils advocate here really. |

I suppose the percentages would have to be low enough as to make short term investment a token novelty. Perhaps larger percentage returns would only be available for very long investments. Possibly dangerously long ones? |

A very good idea. May I suggest a variable, but reasonable interest rate, depending on cash available in the circulation? |

You might die while the account is locked. The longer the account, the more likely you might lose it. |

So the timeframe is the key here then to balance it out. What number of days would fit that fifty percent live beyond, and fifty percent don't, when they begin here, historically. Then one option, a static percentage with a maximum investment. This may be a way to balance things..? |

this would be interesting because upon death you would lose the money, i imagine as long as it is 30 days and locked away for that 30 days (meaning no going back) it might work. |

I also thought 30, so it's like a CA investment in a way. |

No it isn't as a CA, coz you still have him for some units and a free kill when you die, so interest should be higher than 54% on a 30 days, if loosing all investment by death, imo. Brings me to think about some ways you could get back your hard earned cash to your succession after death... Maybe if your successor lives 30 days he could get some interest on his parent's money... After all why credits should have that more value than real cash? |

I watched it live, Parasite, and it was reassuring me in some ways, like a lesson... Told myself : "Why loose in 10 minutes what you could loose in 10 minutes the day after..." |

Low rates with a percentage taken off to launder the money. Also probably some investments to create business to launder the money. The more business u purchase, the more you can launder. |

It seems Slash here may be the only one assessing the effects of the suggestion on the game and not just on individual players. The best way to set up an "investment" system is to leverage risk vs. reward. Riskless investments are either too weak to be meaningful or pure profit-building with no consequences (frowned upon in RPGs). |

Cato, we are trying to suggest things in a more and more technical way, as any new idea comes, and propose something new, so please explain what you meant by "leverage risk vs. reward." ? |
