Maybe I'm wrong in my appreciations but I feel this has turned into a debate on how long should interventions be in general while I was giving my opinion on one occasion in particular. Like it has already been said by people debating with me from the other side, only a frown in this case didn't convey its true meaning to people outside of Tilly's circle thus my point being made.

I never said that any and all one liners are to be considered unacceptable and if I said something to make people believe that it was indeed the point I was trying to make, this should be enough to rectify such misunderstanding.

I would reply and explain what I mean. But I really don't have the time to do it with any sort of research right now. All i'll say is one liners that mean something. Fine. One liners that add no valid point to the conversation. Wrong and need policing to fight against posts for posts sake. It spoils the streets IMHO.

I don't think anyone would disagree that one line nonsense is a stain on our streets, nothing but noise poloution. If that was what was originally said, then you would have been right and nobody would have disagreed. However, when it's a blanket "one liners are lazy and unacceptable", that isn't true and never will be the case.
