Time. That philosophical mother fucker of a human invention that always had a question attached to it. Because you really couldn't just leave it on its own. It meant nothing without something. Was now the right time? Should it be at this time or that time? Or if not now, then when? Without getting too Socratic, the ticking hands of a seemingly lifetime of events had culminated. And it couldn't have happened on its own, at all.

The various faces present were a testament to that. Summerlin had gathered Vegas together and invited the prominent figures of the nation and their respective families and associates along to usher in a new age. The past spoke for itself. The future would be whatever fate and personal will determined it to be, and was yet to be written. But now, right now? It was definitely the right time.

The clinking of a glass echoed throughout and was met with a respectful lull from all those present. The occasion had called on everyone who'd been a part of the past that had lead to this very moment, and all those current that would help shape the future that was yet to pass. Some may have been fortunate enough to have a bigger role, yet as life was simply one great big cluster fuck of energy, all played a part, no matter how big or small.

No matter your rank or status, you were invited. Even the feds got an invite. It had the address to a funeral home and was signed with a picture of a dick, but they too had played a part. It's just how the Don worked. Always a man of the greater community, a man of the people. And now was the moment to write a new chapter, etch it in stone and display it in the garden. Time would stand still a moment, as all turned their attention towards the front in the hand picked venue...

The scenery was perfetto she thought as she glanced around the room.  Greenery adorning the tables situated around the room attested to the beauty of the Garden of Eden's glorious designs.  An ice sculpture was centered on the main table of food, and the bar set up across the room was fully stocked of all Sin City's finest booze.  Servers scattered through the gathered crowd dishing out the glasses of chilled champagne.

Cami looked around the room for the guest of honor then spied him over near the bar chatting up some sweet patootie, and looking quite snazzy in his attire.  Usually they saw their bossman around the Headquarters in tight, very tight pants, but fortunately for the crowd here today he sported a suit, and even a tie.

Her attention was drawn to the front along with the crowd as PoisonousJelly cleared his throat gaining a variety of looks, from curious expressions to the 'oh fuck' looks.  Cami merely smiled as she peered around the room then back to PJ, anxious for this day for a long time now.  Cami stood there barely able to contain the excitement as she swayed back and forth almost spilling the champagne. 

Mumbling something unladylike, Cami smirked as she glanced to Axel, realizing he was close by, then focused back on PJ as the  crowd grew silent, some curious to what PJ had to say.

PJ stood up at the front of the room. All eyes had now turned to him and the room had fallen silent awaiting the expected announcement. Still smirking from drawing out about 300 penises on the invites to the feds, the individual pubic hairs was the magic touch though. Thank god Slash doesn't clean his brush. Even if they are ginger. 

AHEM! Evening ladies and gents, and Axel.

You all know why you are here today and apparently I have to say some words. God damn responsibilities. It's times like this that is perfect for me to be out back in the car park taking all your damn hubcaps while you're distracted. But noooooo, I'll have to wait until you're all at Slash's funeral instead. That said, if you'll notice... we didn't ask you guys to relinquish your weapons on the way in as we usually would... feel free to take a pop through the evening. 

In seriousness though, last night our beloved Don went to confront the Godfather of Summerlin and un-forunately came out with the Godfathers blood on his hands and the title of Godfather Of Summerlin. It has been such a long time coming. We have been through free cities, wars a plenty and some how even with me as Right Hand Man, @Slash has managed to pull through. I thoroughly believe there is no one out there that can deny the work and effort he has put in to not only our crew, district and city but to the whole country as a whole. After having privilidged access to his mail it's so easy to see just how much effort he puts in to not only helping and guiding our members but the wider community as a whole. To work for a man who has this kind of compassion and love for our progression and our way of life is inspiring. Which let's be honest, is the only reason why I've not been 1%ed by one of the Durdens yet. (It'll happen, don't worry... your sweepstake's is still intact!)

Now his reward for the hard work and dedication is here, there is nothing but more to come for what is hopefully a long and prosperous reign. 

Congratulations Godfather Slash, I'll leave your hubcaps alone for at least a week. No promises about dipping the bins out back though. 

Slash stood back listening to people speak and smiling at all the familiar faces that had turned up to see him remove the Godfather.

Thank you for the kind works, Axel, PJ and Camilla. All three of you have been wonderful to work with. I certainly wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for people like you guys. There have been many great factors in me getting here, my own hard work is a very small piece of the equation as far as im concerned.

Throughout all my days, I've had you all to thank for not just pushing me to be better Slash looks at Artus, but also for doing all those little things along the way that made a shitty moment a good one, or at least a less shitty one.

I couldn't have asked for a more fantastic family, or even better yet, a more fantastic city. Here in Vegas we've always worked as one and over time I've lost parts of my family due to the progression, with Artus and BCP making their way over to Paradise and space-pole for a period holding his own family here in Summerlin having earned such a move through his hard work in Garden of Eden. I'm delighted to have him back with us and look forward to seeing Roland build on what he started. I'm even more excited to see PoisonousJelly take some amazing people to his own HQ now. I'll miss those that I can't keep, but I know they'll help PJ as much as they did me (Ok, he may need slightly more help.. especially to avoid dieing from Durdens or Gun falures.)

Anyway, I could go on all day about how amazing my family are because thats honestly how I feel about every single member I've had.

Slash notices another familiar face in the crowd

It hasn't just been my own family that has been there for me however, as I mentioned Vegas has always worked as one. When Green roamed these streets his ever hard working Right Hand Fitz was always around helping with things and that didnt change the day he took over from Green. When Green fell, I quickly took Fitz and his close friends into my HQ. It was a very short lived visit for them as I had no intention of making them stay, as soon as things got calm I gave approval for Fitz to move back home to The Strip and take his rightful position as leader of that district and as we witnessed yesterday, he's done a fucking grand job there indeed. Thank you old friend for the assistance that you've given along the way, I couldn't be prouder to be stepping up to join you tonight as a Godfather in this fine city.

Feeing a little overwhelmed with the occassion Slash takes a few steps back and instead moves into the crowd to shake some hands of well wishers that had arrived to greet him.

Thank you everyone! I can see PJ crying at the amount of letters i've just received, I bet thats one thing he wont miss!

Franky listened to the speeches and applauded loudly. He then saw the new Godfather step into the crowd and approached him. Removing his hat respectfully he bowed his head slight as he approached. 

"Godfather Slash, I offer you my congratulations and best wishes for you and your family. I know you to be a man of honor and integrity and I look forward to seeing Vegas continue to flourish under your leadership. In bocca al lupo per il nuovo lavoro Godfather!"

Gemma finished off sorting out her long red curly hair and touching up her make-up while ignoring her mismatched eyes, one blue the other green, and slipped on the black dress and heels then softly cursed about being late  but hoped that she could sneak in like normal unnoticed

blending into the crowd she congratulated Slash and while waiting until nobody was looking gave  poisonous a swift kick in the ankle and winked while raising a glass

at the same time they both completely ignored her and just mentioned something about nice to have you here apples,

Neal arrived at the scene and noticed there was already a few familiar faces. Standing up at the front of the room, Neal removed his hat and cleared his throat before speaking.

Slash. I may not have been around as much as I wanted for a while, but I know you deserve this. Even from the sidelines I have watched things progress in an extraordinary manner.  I am ecstatic to see you reach the esteemed position. On another note, you left me with PoisonousJelly. That hurts. Leaving me with this fucker. Wow.

All kidding aside. I couldn't be happier having the opportunity to work with you PoisonousJelly. I look forward to growing our family and growing the city as a whole, even more. You definitely deserve to be here, running your own outfit.

Gidfather Slash let me pretend to be sober for a minute, you are someone I've always held in high regard and this is truly a great day for you, Summerline, and the city of Las Vegas. Congratulations old friend I guess PJ won't be watching over us while we pick on him anymore, but very proud to see his advancement as well. I brought you a bottle, but see what had happened was a drank mine on the way so this one is half full. I'll be sure to send 2 more over as soon as I get home. Again congratulations Godfather Slash this is truly a great day.

Raises a glass to the new Godfather 

Yes Zootopia, two in one week and probably within a week we'll see a Godfather rise up in Los Angekes as well. Hadn't Tellurium found her demise, she probably would've taken the esteemed rank soon as well.

Almost 120 days ago the country knew of only 20 Made Men still standing after devestating events that occured in a week's time. Couple that with opportunities to conduct your own operations in a few cities without someone limiting you, aside from the encouragement to add to the community, it created very fair chances for everyone to try and make it to the top.

This week we celebrate the people who worked hard and played their cards right since that moment. I'm not sure where you have been in this time, but either you didn't try for your chance to be on top or you failed in your efforts. When others are riding the tram that you missed, blame yourself, instead of some fake entity that supposedly holds the power to elevate anyone, but bullies you.

Congrats to those who worked hard and claim their rewards.
