Moving to a new city was tough when you missed everyone you called your family was still back there. Cami sighed softly as she glanced around the cafe. Once Conn, GiuseppetheKillerBun - but Cami called him Bunny for short, Dcypha and herself had gotten settled into their Downtown Headquarters, the first thing of business she set them out on was to secure a few business properties nearby. Coercion, bribery, strong force if necessary. She didn’t care how they secured properties, she just wanted them done. Cami glanced around the newly acquired cafe, and was pleased to know they served Italian cuisine. Reasonable prices as well, so she saw no need to change the menu any. She met with the previous owners, nodding in their direction as they were leaving. They just collected the last of their belongings from the back office. The building was in a decent area, location wise, and the interior was superb. The outside however didn’t impress Cami much, but such is life. People came for the food, not to stare at the brick walls outside. She heard the door chime, and looked in that direction. Must be the beginning of the lunchtime rush. Cami glanced to her watch with a smile. Conn was famous for running a tad late when meeting her anywhere. She took a seat near the back wall for a bit more privacy away from the crowd. The waitress came right over to take her order asking about the specials. Cami waved her hand to the Cheese & Spinach Cannelloni. “A side salad and a glass of red wine. Grazie.” She leaned back against the booth seat as she waited for the food, finally relaxing for what seemed like weeks. |

"Just... a little.... more...." whispered Conn, out of breath. He hadn't found a bicycle to buy yet, so he had to Leroy Jenkins it and run the whole way. He finally arrived, panting, and quickly found CamillaBalistreri in the back. "I'm only five minutes late this time!" he said proudly, after a quick glance at his new watch. He sat down and gave his order to the waitress. "I'll have the same thing as her!" he asked, knowing his boss had a very accute sense for food. He liked the motor city, it was surrounded with a lot of musical history. His grandfather used to live in the beautiful Detroit before he was killed. The sound of fingers snapping woke him up from his daydream. "Sorry about that dear..." he said, scratching the back of his head with an innocent look on his face. "Getting some well deserved rest?" he asked, knowing the last week had been exhausting for his hard working garden protecting boss. |

She chuckled softly as her lovely Right Hand Man slid into the booth across from her, out of breath and full of smiles, not to mention hungry. Cami intertwined her fingers as she rested her hands atop the table. She leaned forward to tell Conn the exciting news. "You are improving on the time, so all is molto bene caro. Rest? Rest is for the wicked caro, and well okay yes I got a few hours sleep." She winked impishly. "I do have something to show you later after we enjoy our meal. Something from me as a thank you for all your support." |

Conn chuckled to Camilla's answer, while kindly thanking the server who was already back with their glasses. "I'll take the whole bottle please..." he asked, not telling his wonderful leader it was for her. The look on his face quickly changed from mischief to surprise as she spoke. He felt like a little kid at Christmas Eve. "Can't wait darling! While I think of it, are you okay with me setting up record players in the HQ? You can never go wrong with jazz!" he exclaimed, with a big smile. He liked to think that music was a medicine, curing sadness, exhaustion and lack of sleep. |
