Game of Cups Started by: JohnConstantine on Feb 06, '17 21:00

Harry was confident in his luck and was following the ball with his eyes until the middle of the show.

The young man was quick with his moves so when Harry got lost in his thoughts for a quick moment he lost it... Just to not appear as total fool in the middle of the crown he silently started counting in his mind. 'Ini mini money mo'..

"Middle.." - he said

The young lad knew where the ball was. Middle, it was not, and the lifted cup showed that fact. He smirked yet shook his head, feeling quite lucky the roll he was now on.

Yet, luck was only a small penchant. He was fonder of the sweet sound of curiosity and ambition. Something about a scrawny down on their luck yet high on spirit cup shuffler seemed to be drawing in a crowd.

His energy was boosted by the presence of onlookers, and he let out a wave of heart felt happiness to HarryPotter and all those present.

"Better luck for the next, and maybe yours will improve to."

"Maybe, tomorrow."

The next day, Kathryn returns. She had spent some of the previous evening reading up on tricks like this and felt a lot more prepared. She stood in front of the kid who'd bested everyone so far and slid a twenty dollar bill toward him.

"Too rich for your blood? I'd like another crack at it."

From everyone's losses so far the jar next to the young buck was quite full. He'd probably have enough, but he honestly didn't know. He couldn't see the bets for starters and didn't plan to lose, so he simply kept up his indomitable high spirit and began moving the cups around.

"Once a loss, second a lesson, and maybe with luck you'll recieve a blessin'"

The whipper snapper whipped the cups all over the comic, swapping them and mixing them up in quick handed fashion. He didn't hold back and simply let Fate be the deciding factor. Sometimes even a scammer let the God's have their fun too. It was their House afterall.

After a longer than normal cup shuffle of about thirteen seconds the cups were once again lined up and left for the shadowy Kathryn before him to pick. Left, middle or right.

Kathryn flexed her right hand. She thought she might have actually followed it this time.

"Well, my right hand is a bit sore... so I'll go with left this time."

After a flick of the wrist the left cup was flipped, revealing the white ball. Some murmurs can be heard in the crowd and finger pointing from the various individuals around the table, which clued that lad in.

Not hesitating to match his money where his rhythmic mouth is, the smiley dial presented the money jar towards Kathryn.

"Your lucks come to pay on this fun summer's day, put in the right light and the God's see your plight. So take what your due as your heart must be true, you reap what you sow and as it's entirely your show."

Kathryn grinned. Nothing a little studying and practice couldn't overcome, just like everything else she'd faced in her life thus far.

Well, other than the deaths of her loved ones. Her smile faltered slightly. Hell of a way to lose some emotional momentum...

"Keep your money, kid, and I'll keep mine. Thanks for the show."

Hands in her pockets, she turned to head back to work.
